“Your first secret, first,” I say, crossing my arms over my chest, and he leans back, placing a finger on his chin.
“The safe isn’t here,” he says.
I already suspected that. Still, my chest tightens slightly.
“So, where is it?”
“Give me one secret…”
I stab the table with my dagger, and he pouts, “You’ll meet your best friend today if you do not talk.”
