Zade From Haunting Adeline Novels & Stories

she asked, trying to keep her composure, glancing back at Adam, who had grown quiet, sensing the tension. Adeline stood in the doorway, watching as Zarek’s silhouette receded into the distance. Her heart raced with uncertainty. She turned back to Adam, who was still perched on the edge of the couch, curiosity etched on his face. Just then, Zarek’s footsteps returned, and the door swung open again. Adeline barely had time to react before he stepped inside, his presence filling the room with an unsettling air. The moment he caught sight of Adam, a predatory gleam flickered in his eyes, transforming his charming demeanor into something far more sinister.

The video continues. Zade collapsing onto the couch inside the hotel suite. Completely out of it. Then the door slowly closes after Daisy walks in. Smirking. Like she already knows exactly what she’s about to do. Tears sting my eyes. The footage cuts to the next morning. Zade leaving the hotel room. He looks panicked. Confused. Like someone who knows something is terribly wrong but can’t figure out what happened. I turn toward him, tears sliding down my cheeks. Zade meets my eyes.

Despite his captivating looks, there was an unsettling aura surrounding him, causing a shiver to run down my spine as I dared to meet his gaze. "You are awake," he says again. His voice smooth and cold like frost on a winter morning sent a chill through the room as he spoke each word. I have never been scared by hearing a person speak. "I am Zade Aella, I assume you have heard a lot about me." He moves closer, and I move away, hoping the chair will open up and swallow me. He would kill me, kill my baby, and then Kill Ace mentally. I am not scared for myself; I fear for Ace and what would become of him when he found me dead.

Zara closed the ledger for a moment. She needed air. Adrian touched her shoulder. “Breathe.” “I am breathing.” “Barely.” She looked at him. He gave her a small smile. It wasn’t enough to make everything better. But it helped. Zara opened the ledger again. This time, something fell from between the pages. A photograph. It landed face down on the floor. Adrian picked it up. “Zara.” She took it. The picture was old. Very old. It showed three men standing in front of the Bellini estate.

“Zara!” I turn around, my heart sinking. Adrian. He’s standing there, all polished in a tailored coat, his dark hair perfect, his smile too charming. My stomach twists—part guilt, part annoyance. “What are you doing here?” I ask, keeping my voice steady. He steps closer, his eyes locked on mine. “I called you last night, but you didn’t pick up. I had to see you before you left.” “I must’ve been asleep,” I say, shrugging, though my mind flashes to ShadowWolf’s messages. Adrian doesn’t know, and he can’t.

"Zade is going to die if we can't figure this out soon." I felt Ollie grab my hand as we pressed closer to the door, both of us scared by how upset all the adults sounded. But when I peeked through the crack in the door to see what was happening, my blood turned cold with recognition. Alpha Zade was lying on his bed, his shirt open to reveal his chest and stomach. Dark lines were spreading across his skin like living tattoos, twisting and writhing in patterns that made my eyes hurt to look at. But I recognized those markings immediately.

Plus, Zade offered to help both Susan and me… I should have known that something suspicious was going on. My blood boiled as I ran my tongue over my teeth, a deep unsettling ache unfurling deep within me as I muttered. “How could you…” Zade took a step forward and there was something about the intensity in his eyes. It was dark, cold, and deeply unsettling. With a creepy smile on his face that caused my breathing to hitch, Zade closed the space between us as he leaned in, his breath hot against my ears. “You should have never messed with the Lycans. Because henceforth, your life will be filled with nothing but torment!”

I said in a frantic tone as I tried desperately to understand the reasons behind his actions. “Stop being pathetic, Zara. You have lost the one thing that made you useful: your beauty, and in turn, your modelling career. The only woman who can secure my inheritance is Elora. You were only good while you lasted.” Zane said with a sneer on his lips. “It's over between us,” Zane said with a tone of finality.
