I flick my wrist and the fire leaps from my palm. "How can you still do this?" I hear Ash ask. I tug a little at the freezing metal collar around my neck. "I'm not really sure," I murmur. "I wish I could do it," he mutters. "I'll teach you how when we get out of here," I tell him. I concentrate on the fire again, moving the matching flames in Ash's cell as well. "In the beginning there were seven gods, the most powerful of which were the twins Zahra and Kilano. Zahra was the goddess of life and Kilano the god of fire and ashes. Together they created the dragons."

The old magic survived only through her, and through those she chose. She swallowed. “That’s one path.” The vision shifted. Now she stood among dragons Draynor, Grenon, and others she did not recognize. Her dragon form loomed vast and luminous, scales threaded with Circle-light. The Dawlya magic did not rule here; it listened. The Circle bent itself around draconic instinct, reforging ancient bonds broken centuries ago. Balance. But the cost was clear. The Dawlya would never forgive it. They would call it betrayal, corruption. War would come not from fear of her, but from hatred.

Creed stood, picking me up with him. The bond showed bravery in his heart. "He wants to stay," I spoke softly. "He wants to keep you all safe." Zaos smiled, shaking his head. "We can take care of a few dragons. We outnumber them ten to one. Besides, we have enough Yellowcress Root to knock out both of your smells; they won't think you both were ever here. Do not worry." Zaos put his hand on Creed's shoulder. "My friend, this is a dawn of a new leader. If you can defy an Alpha order, it means you have alpha blood. Take that into consideration the next few days." Creed stood still, eyes not leaving Zaos. "The gods must wish it," he nodded to him, now backing away.

If I guess it correctly, you and White Horse framed me for Zoey's defilement, right? Uh… Weston was stunned. He was embarrassed and at a loss for words. Darryl took a deep breath. He could not contain the contempt he felt and said, "The dragon is the most powerful godly beast in the Nine Mainland, a symbol of justice and the good in the world. Do you think someone as devious and cunning as you is worthy of a dragon?" Weston's face turned bright red; he was extremely embarrassed and angry. "F*ck!" Weston pointed at Darryl's nose and cursed. "Darryl, stop being a stuck-up! You're about to die anyway. How dare you lecture me?"

Zara repeated Richard's words softly as she walked towards Jade Dragon Mountain. As Axel Yanes' daughter, when Axel founded Imperial Dragon on Jade Dragon Mountain, he and his wife also imbued the soul of Jade Dragon Mountain into Zara's body. Because of this, Zara's mother, Mia Cromwell, died after giving birth to her, having exhausted her life force.

“Master, what would you like us to do? You need only whisper your command, and we will follow.” Evrah grabbed the wood harder, her gaze darting quickly from left to right, trying to get a closer look. She spotted a big shimmering black dragon that seemed to be looking right at her. The big eye blinked, its big frame fidgeting a bit. A huge black and silver mass of scales and muscles sat directly across from her, its ginormous purple eyes had her dead to rites, and they both knew it. “Please don't give me way,” she whispered, shaking from fear. She cursed that her curiosity had gotten her noticed. The dragon blinked a final time and averted its eyes somewhere else as if it had heard her whisp

They were also the first humans to betray their kind and collaborate with the dragons. Salamander clansmen were considered direct descendants of Homusubi, the fire god. Together with their dragon overlords, they hewed entire mountains and smelted ores to build the stateliest castles and the most impregnable fortresses. They created hand weapons and war machines – repeating crossbows, hand cannons, trebuchets – that extended the power of the nine-headed dragon god, Kuzuryū Daimyōjin, to every corner of Pan-Terra. The exhaust of the Salamanders’ smokestacks choked the sky as far as the eye could see.

” He felt satisfied. “Curse you! Turning a dragon into a mass weapon?! Are you insane!” She exclaimed. “This is why I hate Zaluntinos very much. They are so ambitious about their so-called sacred mission by enslaving the dragon to protect this world.” “Enslaving you said?! It is their duty to protect this world and we are the ones who must take care of them and guard them.” “Tsk, nonsense.” Laras saw a little purple dragon on his right hand.
