Novel & Cerita Zane From Aphmau

I shove him into the shower with his clothes still on, I'm barely in my right mind to look after him, so I try to do the best I can right now. After about 15 minutes of sitting in the shower, he looks better. His eyes focus and he recognizes where he is. "I fucked up Danni. Grace pregnant, my mate, fuck my mate, she probably hates me," Zander starts rambling. He found his mate, and he's been keeping it a secret. How the fuck has he been doing that? I sit there silently as he continues to babble. What's the saying … a drunk man's word is a sober man's thoughts?

She is the person I trust the most. So holding her hand, we both walked down the hospital corridor, back to the room. I mentally prepare myself to see such a scene again. I've seen a thousand more heartbreaking scenarios than this, but it has never affected me so much. Maybe it's because this time the only important people in my life are involved. Gigi, Mark, and Jason are no longer in the hall. Lailah looks at me with a weak smile before opening the door. I swallow hard. -Azael. -a weak and broken voice names me as soon as I enter.

The voice started, making her sit well and she wiped away the tears that fell from my eyes. “Zane made Alpha Lance murder his parents, putting him in the eyes of the world, and not only that, he tried to wipe out the entire pack but was stopped by Alpha Lance, who executed him and his family. But, sadly, Zane isn’t dead yet. He is back and bound in making everyone suffer.” She ended.

Upon Aurora's entrance into the Strider family's living room, she found Zane, who was furiously venting his anger. "A coward, am I? What have I perpetrated? Why must I conceal myself?" Zane, in a fit of rage, hurled a water cup to the floor, shattering it. Aurora nimbly sidestepped and remarked, "It appears you're coping quite adequately, still capable of smashing objects." Zane glowered at her, "Did you not pledge to manage this matter? Why does the situation deteriorate? Now the entire nation perceives me as a psychopath!"

I pushed on, footsteps echoing in the empty hall, the sound bouncing off walls, my focus unbreakable, though Liam’s pained face and Lucy’s triumph taunted me, dirty and raw, his body still invading my brain, fucking me in my mind, a distraction I couldn’t allow. I stepped into Zane’s room, the door groaning open as I shoved it, the air thick with herbs and illness. Zane lay on the bed, wasted away, face ashen and slick, eyes hollow, chest rising and falling slow, each breath a fight. The other healers hovered, one with a tray of food, another mixing the herb paste for the Silverbloom, their expressions anxious, waiting.

His small fragile bone thickens and rearranges till it resembles a wolf. Zane had no recollection of what had happened after that, as he blacked out. When he woke up, he was in the hospital and his uncle Mauritius, whom he only knew through his father's stories, was in front of him. From that day, Mauritius Carmichael became Zane’s guardian. PRESENTLY… Elder Mauritius took another glass and poured bourbon into it, imagining his brother Malcolm was with them consoling Zane about his marital problem. “Drink your heart out, boy.” He suggested as he gave out a faint smile.

Soothing. “What are you doing?” “Feeling for a bump.” “Why?” “Might explain the sudden onset of aphasia.” I snort out a laugh. “Come on, Zane. Tell me you at least yell ‘timber’ every once in a while.” The only thing he’s ready to tell me is that he’ll have me institutionalized. It’s for the best, then, that Amanda sinks down next to me and wraps me in a hug. “Look at you. Not even a little bit dead.” She grins. By the time she pulls away, Zane is gone. “Despite your high-stakes, violent existence.”

I cock my head to the side and look up at Hunji, *He doesn’t carry his mother's scent* I mentally connect with him. *I noticed that too* He gruffs back through the link. “My name is Zane. And this is my Aunt Lizzy.” The pup interrupts our private conversation. His beaming smile is contagious and I can't help but smile back at him. “Would you like to see your mother, Zane?” I ask him. Immediately his pale eyes grow wide and he vigorously bobs his head up and down. “Ok, we can arrange that.” I stand and ruffle his hair, then curtly nod to the older female. “Beta Mike ma’am”

"About me being the only person you've brought here?" "Yes," Zane said without hesitation. "This place…this room…it's where I come when I need to feel in control. When the trauma gets too loud and I need to remember that I have power over my own body now. I've never trusted anyone enough to show them this part of me." "Why me?" I asked. Zane was quiet for a long moment, his hands stilling in my hair. "Because you are my muffin," he just said, and his reply made me chuckled, because I didn’t know Zane could crack father’s jokes... because that was exactly the same thing Grayson would have said.

But I quickly pushed those thoughts aside, reminding myself where I was. “Hello, I’m Zane Whitman.” He introduced himself, his voice carrying warmth despite his serious demeanor. “You must be Morana Ambrose.” “Yes, that’s me.” I said while trying to stay calm amid the flutter of nerves that kept dancing in my stomach. “It’s nice to meet you, Dr. Whitman.” “Nice to meet you too.” Zane's emerald eyes studied me for a moment, as if trying to see my capabilities. "I've heard good things about you, Morana," he said finally. "I trust you're ready to get started."
