"Flies to a carcass." "He’s got a personality, Isa. Deal with it." "So do I!" She slammed her cider onto the counter. "I’m the captain of the spirit squad. I’m the one who belongs here. She had even given him a ring to aid his escape from the demons' trap, which made it so obvious that he was going to fall in. We were finally in school and it had taken us almost an hour before we could be able to settle down, as the entire class seemed to be so giddy and overly excited to see us, especially Xander, who had turned from a ferocious beast to a gentle man who cared for even a flea. He grabbed Mia by the shoulders and flung her back toward me. I caught the girl, the impact knocking us both back into the freezing muck of the harbor. His wolf is on a warpath.” “I’m on my way Midge, I thought I felt something in my chest open up. Who is she?” “Mina, your Luna is Mina.” “Really?! What happened?” I told him about the itching and the warrior brand bothering her for a while. It didn’t take him long to get here and the moment he touched Xander, the tension surrounding the room evaporated like fog.
