The same team where I'm the assistant coach. The Moon Eclipse Pack runs one of the most elite academies in the country. The Moon Eclipse academy—a place that grooms the one percent of the one percent prominent werewolf heirs—Alphas, Betas, Gammas. A place where ranks matter more than brains and where anyone without a prominent family name is disposable.

“Exactly. No one will mess with you.” We arrive at Westmoor Senior High, a sprawling campus nestled just outside Redwood Falls, a wealthy forest-fringed suburb north of Sacramento. Ivy crawls over brick walls. Students cluster in circles by the steps. There is an old oak in the courtyard, scarred with carvings and initials. Zenith stands taller than usual but squeezes my hand once before we enter. A small comfort. Inside the admin office, the woman at the desk gives us a bored once-over. Zenith handles the introduction smoothly.

Then Sebastian spoke again. “Private prep schools in Los Angeles?” “Yes.” “I have an uncle,” he said casually, “who happens to be the principal of Pinecrest Academy.” Celeste went completely still. “Pinecrest?” she repeated slowly. “That’s right.” Of course she knew the name. Everyone did. Pinecrest Academy was one of the most elite preparatory schools in California. Their students entered Ivy League universities every single year. Even wealthy families struggled to secure admission. And the waiting list stretched endlessly.

Theo said making me sigh. "Just hurry and get Zenon to WITS academy." I instructed Theo who laughed and made Zenon confuse. "What's that?" "Witches in training and special people academy. A hidden school in LA that I'm sure you'll love. I'll only let you come back for the holidays and suspension period so try not to get too much. Gosh I'm jealous I never got to go there." I said making him look at Theo. "I promise you'll love it. Ani always begged me to take her for a term there when she was younger but as usual I said no." Theo said making Zenon smile and look at me.

"Always political coming out your mouth, really." Ciaran glared at his older brother who just grinned at him. Seriously, Zephrain was so laid-back that he just wanted to smack his face with his fist. "What? I'm curious about her. Jared Dale couldn't even talk to her." "That is because he's always angry about almost everything," Zephrain deadpanned and playfully glared at his brother who uncharacteristically pouted. Zillah turned to them. “You mean, that madman who was very much like you and one of the Seven Geniuses of the Krystalline Academy?”

No Celeste and Remy today—they were already gone to Storm Academy—but their absence felt like a promise more than a loss. Afternoon classes blurred: Supernatural Chemistry (alchemical reactions), Advanced Integration Politics (Accords case studies), and a short homeroom wrap-up.
