They were probably confident no one could ever escape or survive this place. We climbed up a stone staircase, moving quickly and silently. I was holding the Xenodermus babies we had rescued. We only stopped when we saw light ahead, and the exit from the arena. There, we saw a group of wounded Tarragons battling a huge monster—it looked like a centipede, but more vicious, with spikes along its back. Its many legs were sharp, and its head was massive with enormous, jagged teeth. Vestaria looked at me. “What’s the plan?” she asked. I smiled. I handed the Xenodermus babies to one of the others we had freed. My claws extended, surprising them, and I knew my eyes were glowing.

After testing, my IQ came back at 200, twice the average. My mother was over the moon. She hired top tutors and swore she would raise me into someone extraordinary. Ophelia even gave me her favorite doll, saying she was proud to have a genius brother like me. The very next day, I threw up all over it. That was also when everything went wrong. I got hit with a sudden illness. My hands started spasming, and I couldn't even hold a pen anymore. The comments flooded the screen. [What the hell is wrong with him? That doll was their dad's keepsake. Ophelia wouldn't even touch it herself, and he just threw up on it?]

I can't still believe I have formed a blood pact with a demon. Suddenly, my heart pumped wildly then I just saw in my mind my red-colored grace of the Cancer and his black curse joining as one. After these two orbs united, creating a black-crimson orb, a new sign was inscribed inside it. It was a sign that symbolizes a fox and a crab. “Now, let's get going. This is the birth of the Black Zodiac,” Mammon said then the Infinite Prison broke apart into pieces.

I picked up my pace to the haunted place I was forced to call home . My mom had died when I was 15, Belle was only 11 at that time. And just when I thought things couldn't get worse ,our dad married again . At first I thought that maybe Belle and I could find comfort in her , that she would at least try to be good to us , but my worse fears came true .

Different instincts, Same hunger. Then, softer now, he said, “There’s more at stake here than politics and bloodlines, Leonidas. Something older is stirring. The Fae have gone silent. The witches are... watching. Our enemies multiply in corners neither of us can see.” “So you want a leash around the storm,” I said under my breath. “No.” He shook his head once, deliberate. “I want to point it at the right enemy.” I stood. My height towering over everyone in the room.

From the corner of my eye I saw the trolls flinch and take a step back. “What we found,” said Zane enthusiastically, “is that monsters have a weakness to certain metals.” “Like werewolves and silver,” said Maurice. “Right,” said Zane. “Only we’ve never encountered a werewolf, so I don’t know if that particular myth holds true here. Anyway, it’s mainly trial and error. Goblins can’t handle copper. Lizardmen get totally fucked by bronze. Some of these have been known for a while, but others were only recently discovered. By us.” He grinned, clearly very pleased with himself.

Adrian explained, "See the runes on this? He can control the monsters’ minds when the runes fuse with their bodies. I've known this fact for a while now, but I can't figure out where the monsters are coming from." Rozi looked crestfallen as though there was something she wanted to say. Adrian noticed and said, "So stop keeping us in suspense and tell us what you know. You’re the most knowledgeable among us, after all." Calmly, Rozi said, "He's not the one creating the monsters. They’ve long existed. He just planted these stones in them to gain control over them." "What do you mean?" Adrian frowned. "The monsters come from another world. They were captured and sent to ours. Simply put, the mo

“This one is a demonic one…” “A demonic monster?” Claude and Darrion frowned in alarm. Jai looked at them curiously. “What’s a demonic monster?” Claude tried to explain. “There are six types of monsters in this world. The normal ones without elements like cats, dogs, the ordinary cows and sheep are considered as domestic monster. They only cause a small amount of damage compared to the others. The next one is elemental monster that is able to use element to its will, and sometimes, they also produce the elemental energy themselves. The third one is intelligent monster. This one usually understands human language and has a higher comprehension of life, meaning, it’s usually a lot more powerfu

Lindsay looked utterly confused. Her brows began to furrow as her eyes turned black as the night the fury in her stare the hatred that forced her undead body to stiffen. It made Jake think more than ever that he was not really related to them after all that maybe they were in fact prisoners. But if they were-wolves couldn’t they just kill the monster that was housing them? Was there something superior to vampires over wolves? Or was it just a numbers game.

There were blood spills at every boundary of a given territory, and this allowed it to cross into a new clan to devour them. The alphas are shifting; they howl and groan to protect the community; the moon goddess is prayed to send the full moon; and the clan, packs, and territory need more wolves to fight for them. It is the beast—the masked monster—who has been terrorizing the entire wolf community in the last five years. It comes on the 12th, 17th, and 25th of every month.
