Novel & Cerita Zombie Apocalypse Survivor

My mind went into a downward spiral, thinking up ways to survive a crazy, zombie apocalypse. 1.) Machetes instead of guns, that way I won't run out of ammo. 2.) Find reliable allies. Let's see, Rick has Daryl in The Walking Dead and Roberta has Addy in Z-Nation. Ok, so I guess werewolf friends would come in handy if there's ever an outbreak - but can a werewolf become a zombie? SHIT! I don't think I'd survive a zombie-werewolf apocalypse.

In her last life, the zombie outbreak started on the 11th. The apocalypse would happen on August 11.

Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, I looked out at the apartment building in the distance. Flames were shooting into the sky, and faint screams carried through the air. Linda and Tyler had hidden from the zombies by climbing into a dumpster downstairs. They were curled up in the reeking trash, shivering as they fought over half a moldy bread roll someone had thrown away. Meanwhile, I took a sip of hot soup, warmth spreading through my whole body. This was what apocalypse life was supposed to feel like. Over the next three days, I followed Duke’s guidance and swept up supplies from nearly half the city.

After a night of the cold front's purge, the survivor count had settled at 5,000,211. Another two million gone. The ones who'd made it through had clearly woken up to the game's brutality. [Buying Universal Fuel!] [Buying tires! Mine are almost shredded!] [That monster last night was terrifying. My door nearly got ripped off. I need to upgrade my sports car!] ... Ten minutes later, Jake closed the system. From the chatter, he'd gathered some useful intel. Killing zombies dropped upgrade blueprints, Universal Fuel, weapons, bread, water, razors, medicine...

My body had even started rotting away. The news spread through the entire base as swiftly as the zombie virus had overtaken the humans. Mom and Dad kneeled in front of my grave. "We were wrong, Brielle… W-We just wanted to protect Beckett…" Mom said, her voice weak. "He was the hope for all humanity… We had no choice…" Listening to her feeble excuses, I felt utterly repulsed. Meanwhile, my death was the spark that ignited the fury of all the other survivors in the base.

Andrew was caught completely off guard, crashing right into the arms of the zombie. "Mr. Greene!" I called out, instantly activating my power, and tried to rush forward. Yet, it was still too late. The zombie's sharp claws had ripped through Andrew's heart. Alison returned after retrieving a hand grenade from the guardhouse, and she flung it at them. The massive explosion blew both Andrew and the zombie to shreds. Upon hearing the commotion, Jeffrey and Lucas rushed over with reinforcements. Then, they heard Alison screaming her accusations at me, "Juliet, why didn't you save Mr. Greene sooner?"

"Good. Lets just get back to the warehouse. Get behind the walls." The four-kilometer drive felt like it took hours. Every time a stray zombie stumbled out from a side alley my foot jerked on the pedal. The heavy steel plow on the front of the truck pushed them aside like dry branches. The city was still burning around me, black columns of smoke twisting into the gray sky but all I could think about was the cold terrifying look in Justin’s eyes. He was right about one thing—the world was changing fast. If a Tier 2 Awakened was already walking around on day one, my current defenses weren't going to be enough to keep me alive.

It had woken up later than usual. “Come on, I want to show you something.” Zane said as soon as I woke up. it was like he had been waiting for me. I frowned but followed him anyway. We went toward my room but stopped in my tracks when I saw the damage. The roof was gone. I glanced at Zane. “It happened last night.”

I initially thought my teammates would welcome me, and my wife would hug me, but instead, the vehicle's door was firmly locked. Roars belonging to high-tier zombies came from every direction. Overhead, micro drones trained their cams on me, showing the camp's survivors how wounded and in despair I was. Wade Carter, Jasmine Cole's male best friend, was a useless bum who couldn't muster the guts to kill even a single, regular zombie even though it'd been three years since the apocalypse.

Before Christmas, the zombie apocalypse came. My husband threw me, his wife who had just given birth, to a horde of zombies because of his lover. I was eaten alive. My eyes snapped open and shot to the clock on the wall. December 24th. 11:47 PM. I was back. Christmas Eve. The final blizzard was closing in. The horde would be here in thirteen minutes. No time. I shoved through the crowd, sprinted to the control room, and slammed the emergency broadcast button.
