Dream Love
I said, sweetly.
“Hello,” he said in a voice just above a whisper.
“You wore me out,” I whined, “and I’m a little sore.”
“I have some pain reliever for you,” he offered.
“I’m tired of being so loopy,” I complained.
“It’s just a strong dose of Ibuprophen,” he assured me.
“I dreamt that you took me away to a warm, tropical place,” I said, sheepishly, as I sat up and took the pills he offered. “We made love on the sand.”
