I dipped a toe into the water, testing its warmth, before slowly easing myself in. The heat enveloped me, melting away the remnants of stiffness in my muscles. I sank deeper, letting the water lap at my shoulders and cradle me like a gentle embrace. The lavender’s sweet, floral scent mingled with the richness of sandalwood, the oils creating silky ripples as I moved. I closed my eyes, letting my head rest against the tub’s edge, and exhaled a long, cleansing breath.

RAINE’S POV Maybe it was good that I got sick. I am always living life on the fast lane. Always busy with work, or with one of my playthings… Rest didn’t come easy, and I hardly welcomed it. To me rest was a thirty minute swim, multiple glasses of wine before bed, and my regular five to six hours of sleep. In the last 72 hours I have gotten more sleep than I’ve had in months. Looking at myself now as I prepare for a hopefully successful Saturday night, I look rejuvenated. My dark skin looks to be glowing all on its own.

She could imagine soaking in the tub while looking out at the greenery, the sun casting warm light across the space. The bathroom had everything she could ever want. There was a large vanity with a backlit mirror, drawers filled with high-end skincare products, and neatly arranged fluffy towels. The shower was a walk-in, encased in glass, with multiple jets and a rainfall showerhead. Even the scent of the room was inviting—a delicate blend of lavender and vanilla that made her feel instantly relaxed.

Underwear gone. Naked. My skin feels cool in the open air. Goosebumps rise on my arms and chest. The bathroom is big and bright. White tile covers every wall and floor. It shines under the soft light. The glass shower is huge, big enough for two or three people. Clear walls show the ocean view through the wide window. Blue water sparkles far away. Waves move slow. The sun reflects bright. Salt smell drifts in from open vent. I turn the water. Hot. Knob all the way. Steam fills fast. White clouds. Thick. Smell clean. Soap.

My breath caught slightly as I stepped closer, my fingers brushing lightly against one of the crystals. “What are these?” I couldn’t help but ask. “They are infused with calming properties,” the maid explained. “They also aid in healing.” I nodded slowly, taking in her words as I allowed myself to step into the water, the warmth enveloping me instantly, easing the tension that had settled into my body without me realizing it. A soft sigh escaped me as I sank lower, letting the water cover my shoulders, the gentle flow soothing in a way that felt almost unreal. For the first time in what felt like forever, I relaxed.

His hαir wαs wet too‚ messy from the towel he’d cleαrly run through it‚ αnd the fresh cleαn scent of soαp αnd his cologne clung to him so strongly it mαde my whole body αche with how much I’d missed him.

As they finally emerged from the bathroom, Hazel felt like a new person, her skin radiant and refreshed, her senses revitalized by the luxurious bath. The warm water, fragrant shampoo, and gentle ministrations had worked their magic, washing away the fatigue and stress of the past days, and leaving her feeling revitalized and rejuvenated.
