Freya Well, the shower went a long way towards making me feel human again. Although I looked like a prune by the time I stepped out of the spray, it had taken an age for me to get the knots out of my hair, but damn if it wasn’t wonderful to smell something other than my own sweat and the dirt of the cabin. The whole house had an underlying scent of sandalwood and vanilla, it was comforting in an unfamiliar way and the musky shampoo and conditioner that Damian had fund for me complimented the scents, even if there were a little masculine, but I nothing but grateful.

Water. I stripped and submerged. Through the ripples, I saw a face. I screamed and gulped water. Hunter, I said, taking a breath, you scared me. He chuckled. I covered my breasts. Calmly, he poured a liquid into the tub, and as he moved his hand through the water, the clear surface shimmered, white bubbles blooming outward on the surface. A clean, fresh scent filled the air, sweet with a light, floral note, and I reached out to touch the foam. The bubbles were soft and slippery between my fingers, popping gently, while the water itself felt warm and silky on my skin. I smiled. This was beyond fancy for me.
