Chapter 4 - The welcome party for the weakest

"Beware of the weakest, they can be wicked too."

Ganther Uries Neric Asuncion's Point of view

"Let go to the cafeteria kit." Yaya ko kay Kit. We are inside my dorm he fetches me for dinner tonight. His face turned pale after hearing what I'd said.

"Are you okay?" I asked him. Umiling ito.

"G-ganther, why we don't cook for dinner today? Pwede tayong pumuntang green building. It's a building for the students who wants to cook their own foods. Bawat room sa building na 'yon ay parang unit. D-doon na lang tayo. Pwede?" He almost plead. He's really a weakling.

"Why? I do want to see the cafeteria. Maybe next time. Please kit. I want to see it please," Napalunok muna ito bago malungkot na tumango. Sabay kaming lumabas ng dorm ko. Bawat hakbang namin naririnig ko ang buntong hininga ni Kit. Habang papalapit kami sa cafeteria ramdam na ramdam ko ang takot sa kanya. He's shivering. Kita sa mukha n'ya ang takot. Konting-konti na lang babagsak na ang luha n'ya.  Malapit na kami sa cafeteria nang huminto s'ya.

"G-ganther. P-pwede pa tayong umatras." halos bulong na lang n'yang sinabi iyon. Napataas naman ako ng kilay. 

"Why? Is there something wrong?" I innocently asked. I know there are pathetic bunches of people waiting for us inside that huge cafeteria.

"We'll face hell if we enter that door..." I chuckled. Hell? Sounds interesting.

"I've been facing hell since then kit. Another hell is nothing for me. Pare-pareho lang sila. It just different hell, different demons. Let's go." Hinila ko ang braso nito at walang salitang binuksan ang pintuan ng cafeteria. Kasabay nang pagbukas ko ang pagbuhos ng malamig na tubig sa 'min mula sa itaas. Sobrang lamig. Laughs boomed inside. Inayos ko ang salamin ko at tinignan ang mga tao sa loob.

"I-i told y-you," Ngumiti lang ako kay kit na nagpagulat sa mukha n'ya.

"Well, well, look who's here? A loser together with another loser? Parehong apat ang mga mata. A new loser of Leighton's university?" Onyx step forward to us. He has a smirk on his face. His presence was different when we met at the bar that night. He stop in front of me kaya napatingala ako sa kan'ya. He stared at me with a disgusted gaze and he shrugged his head. 

"Another pest inside my kingdom. Hi there Ganther!" He pushed me which made me lose my balance and fall on the floor. Another wave of laughter appears. Onyx's friends start hurting Kit. I grunted when Onyx kicked me. 

"Let's the party begin," Orion yelled. Music played and all of them starts throwing food at us. Masakit. Ramdam ko ang pagdurugo ng noo ko nang may tumamang matigas na bagay sa 'kin. Napaluhod na kami sa sahig. Kit cried and start to beg. But they didn't listen. They looks so happy seeing us suffering from their hands. Onyx held my chin. His perfect face has a satisfied expression.

"Welcome to the hell, Ganther." Kasunod no'n ang pagsapak n'ya sa mukha ko. Naiwan kami ni Kit na nakahandusay sa sahig. Our bodies is aching. Bago sila tuluyang umalis lahat hindi nakatakas sa 'kin ang ngiti n'ya.  The way she smiled I knew that she's happy seeing me in pain. Seeing me suffering like this. Napangiti ako.

"H-how can you smile after what happened to us?" tanong ni Kit.  Hindi ko na ito nilingon at tumingala na lang. Ginawa kong unang ang mga braso ko. I didn't mind the pain. I'm used of it.

"Don't mind me, kit." I heard him sigh again.

"I-I told you we shouldn't go here." 

"How long you've been staying here?  Staying in demon den?" I asked. He let out a sad cackle. 

"4 years." 

"Why are you still staying here? Bakit tinitiis mo lahat?" 

"Dahil sa utang na loob. F*ck that!" singhal nito. Sabay tingin  sa 'kin na parang nagmamakaawa. "That jerks parents. Sila ang nagpapaaral sa 'kin at sa iba ko pang mga kapatid. Kaya nagtitiis ako." 

"You let them hurt you just because of that?."

"Just?  Are you kidding me?" Parang hindi ito makapaniwala sa narinig mula sa 'kin. 

"No, I'm not. I'm just amused, don't worry."

"You? You are Asuncion. And being Asuncion is being superior. How come the heir of that clan enduring this kind of hell?" Napatingin ako sa kan'ya. I'm not expecting him to say that.

 "Kakakilala lang natin Ganther, pero pakiramdam ko ang lalim ng dahilan mo. Kung bakit ka nagtitiis sa ganito. Mukha man akong mahina pero marunong akong makiramdam. The way you look at Onyx you look so amazed at him. Walang takot. Who are you?" Napangisi ako sa isipan ko. I underestimate him. He isn't just a loser. He's not ordinary pawn in my chessboard. I stood up and extend my hand to him.

"Let just say, I am someone who's looking for something. Don't worry Kit. I'm no demon like them." He gladly accepted my hand. He fixed his eyeglass and look at me with a serious expression.

"We are the weakest here if you are just curious. Stop and leave this place. This is different hell. Ibang klaseng demonyo sila Onyx. They'll not think twice if they want you dead. Dito para s'yang d'yos sa lahat." I tapped his shoulder.

"Kit, huwag mo munang tuldukan ang kwentong nagsisimula pa lang. Don't worry my friend. I know what my role here."

Onyx Ollivander Faiz Leighton's point of view

"Nakita n'yo ba yung itsura nilang dalawa? The f*ck guys it's priceless." Orion said while laughing. We laughed too.

"The new guy? Do you know him?" Misha suddenly asked. She looks interested in that little guy.

"Yes, nagkita kami sa bar before why? Do you know him too?" Orion replied to her while hugging her waist. Napaiwas ako ng tingin.

"Nope. I don't know him." She responded.

"But don't deny it. Our welcome party for him was kind of harsh." Bry stated but we can see the smirk on his lips.

"Yeah, and it's suited to him," Tyren remarked.

"So what's the plan for them." After Alex asked that they all glanced at me waiting for me to respond to that question.

"Hmm let me think," I held my chin acted like I'm thinking. Unti-unting sumilay ang mga ngisi sa labi nila. "Let them face the hell. Until they run away. Specially that Kit apat na taon na s'yang peste dito. I want him gone. Gusto ko, tatakbo silang luhaan palayo sa lugar na 'to." Magsasalita pa sana si Alex nang may kumatok sa pinto. Tyren stood up to opened it. Seconds later he came back with a box with him.

"A package for you Onyx."Inabot n'ya sa 'kin ang box.

"Bakit walang address na nakalagay kung kanino galing?"

"Baka galing sa isa sa secret admirer mo? Normally 'di ba laging nagpapadala sa 'yo yung fans club mo ng kung ano-ano." I nod to what Alex's just said. Normally, I'm receiving gifts from unknown women.

I opened it and I saw a glass king chess piece. Not just ordinary glass. It's has a Tyrian purple liquid inside.

"Wow. It's beautiful.." Misha uttered and I agree with her. It's beautiful. 

"Bro, it has a letter. I think." Ibinalik ko sa kahon ang chess piece. At kinuha ang tyrian purple na small envelope. And it has words outside. I read it.

'A Tyrian color for a king like you. A color that represents you.'

I opened the envelope and get the greeting card inside it's also a tyrian purple.

"Anong nakasulat?" Bry curiously asked.

"Let's play king. Let's play inside your kingdom." I don't know what got on me but after years of hiding in a cold and ruthless image. I found myself shivering in fear.
