The chill of the morning seeped into my bones as I scrubbed the grand hall’s stone floors.

My fingers were raw, knuckles aching with every stroke, but no one cared. As the lowest Omega in the pack, I was little more than a servant, and every day was the same—an endless cycle of chores and insults.

"Work faster, Omega." Vivian’s voice cut through the stillness like a whip.

She stood over me, her eyes gleaming with cruelty.

Ariel and Aria, her loyal shadows, snickered behind her.

I clenched my jaw, forcing myself not to look up.

"Yes, Vivian," I muttered, keeping my head down. It was safer that way.

Vivian was the head maid and one of my biggest bully. I knew better than to offend her and her goons.

"Have you finished doing my chores?" She asked my with disdain.

Though every maid in the palace had specific task assigned to them to do everyday, Vivian always made sure I do her own and that of her friends.

She always told me that it was a privilege on my part for her to even notice me enough to give me her chores to do.

"Yes Vivian." I replied obediently.

"Good! Now finish up quickly!" She instructed and walked away.

The pack was buzzing with excitement, the whole house bustling as everyone prepared for the grand ceremony that was coming up.

Damon and Damian, the twin Alphas, were returning after ten long years.

There were rumors that they were coming to find their mate.

Many of the ladies were anticipating it and wishing they would be mates to any of the twin but to me, there was nothing to be excited about.

I sincerely wish to find my mate so he can bring me out of my current situation and I prayed to find my mate in the upcoming mating ceremony.

I stood, my legs trembling from kneeling too long, and hurried down the hallway to fetch more supplies.

The day the twin Alphas came back was a very memorable one. I could not believe they were this handsome. I could not help but join the other girls in the day dreaming.

"The Alpha has requested that everyone must be at the mating ceremony tomorrow so make sure you all finish your work today so you can be prepared for tomorrow." The matron in charge of the maids announced to us.

There was excitement all over.

"I can't wait to be chosen by one of the twin, they are so handsome." I heard Vivian talking to her goons.

"Yeah, I will prepare very well for it, I'm going to get a new dress." Aria said.

"Hmmm, it would have been more fun if some people were not allowed to come." Ariel said sarcastically referring to me.

Vivian walked towards me and shook her head in disgust.

"If I were you, I would not dream of having any of the twin, they need a strong mate like me not a weak Omega like you so don't dream too much." She mocked and her friends started laughing as they walked away.

I knew there was an iota of truth in what Vivian said and I could not help but feel pity for myself. I was so engrossed in my thoughts that I did not see the person coming.

I crashed straight into a firm chest, the impact knocking me back. My heart lurched into my throat as I stumbled, struggling to keep my balance.

"S-sorry," I stammered.

"It's okay." The voice said and I froze.

Alpha Damian.

"I'm sorry Alpha Damian. I was not watchful." I immediately went on my knees.

"I said it's okay, accidents do happen." He said and did the unexpected.

He held my hands and lifted me up. Among the twin Alphas, Damian was the most welcoming. Though I was never chanced to be around them, I could tell from a distance and from the things I heard people say.

"Thank you Alpha Damian." I said and made the mistake of looking into his eyes.

I felt a strange warmth fill my body and I saw something passed in his eyes but he immediately let me go.

"Be careful." He said and walked away.

I placed my hands on my chest as it started beating faster.

'What is the meaning of that?' I asked myself.

The next day, evening came fast and the grand hall was transformed, glowing with candlelight and filled with laughter.

Everyone looked beautiful except for me. I stayed in the shadows, my plain dress a stark contrast to the shimmering gowns around me.

Though the Alpha had instructed everyone to participate in the ceremony, there was still small little work to be done and who else would do it if not for me but still in the midst of my work, my eyes kept drifting to Alpha Damian.

He stood tall and proud near the center of the room, his dark hair a sharp contrast to his brother’s lighter locks.

While Damon was all ice, Damian radiated warmth, though his gaze was just as intense.

I shouldn’t have been staring, but I couldn’t help it. There was something about him that pulled me in, something I couldn’t explain.

And then, he looked at me.

Our eyes met across the room, and the world seemed to stop.

The crowd, the noise, everything faded away, leaving just the two of us locked in that moment.

My heart hammered in my chest, a strange, dizzying sensation flooding through me. It felt like… like something more than just a look. Like he saw me, really saw me.

I wanted to run away. Away from his sharp gaze but my legs remained rooted to the ground even as he started walking towards me.

The more he walked towards me, the more the sensation grew and at that moment, I realized the impossible.

"Mate!" He said immediately he got close to me.

I tried to open my mouth to speak but no words came and then I did the only thing that came to my mind.

I ran.

  • Mated to Three Alphas   Chapter Twenty-three

Damian POVI was walking through the halls when I heard the commotion. Guards were dragging someone toward the dungeons, and when I got closer, I saw it was Vivian. She wasn't fighting them, but her face was set in that stubborn way I knew so well."What's going on?" I called out, but the guards just kept walking like they hadn't heard me.Vivian caught my eye for a second before they hauled her around the corner. She looked scared but trying not to show it. That look stayed with me as I headed straight to my father's office.I didn't bother knocking. "Why is Vivian being thrown in the dungeons?"Father looked up from his papers, not seeming surprised to see me. "Because she can't be trusted.""What does that mean?" I stepped closer to his desk. "She's been nothing but loyal to this pack.""Has she?" His voice was cold, calculated. "Because I have information that suggests otherwise."I felt my jaw clench. "What information?""She was caught conspiring with other packs." He said it so

Lyra povMy ankle felt like it was on fire with every step, but I kept moving. I had to. The packhouse was behind me now, but I could still feel Alpha Dominic's hands on me, still hear his threats echoing in my head. Something was definitely wrong with my ankle, it felt like the bones were grinding against each other, and I could barely put weight on it.The marketplace stretched out in front of me, busy with people going about their day. Vendors were calling out prices, kids were running around, and the smell of food filled the air. Good. All these people would help hide me, make it harder for them to find me.I limped into the crowd, trying to look normal even though my clothes were torn and I was obviously hurt. A woman selling bread gave me a strange look, but I kept walking. My heart was beating so fast I thought it might burst out of my chest. Then I saw them. Two pack warriors moving through the crowd, their eyes scanning everyone. Looking for me.I ducked behind a cart full of

Lyra’s PovHis touch simmered into my being and I felt my insides recoiling in disgust and his words, they made me feel worse. My thoughts went into overdrive as he leaned forward. The sound of my thumping heart echoed in my chest. His lips came down slowly and in a matter of seconds, it joined with mine, that single action sent a signal to my brain and I instantly concluded within myself that I wouldn't let him take advantage of me. Alpha Dominic brought his lips to my ears slowly with a smirk adorning it as if he was intentionally testing me because if that was what he was doing then he was successfully messing with my limit. I gritted my teeth as I quickly thought of what I can do but there was nothing, not that there was nothing to do but how could I possibly do it when my hands are tied. I twisted my wrist despite the rope to see if I could break free but I was mistaken as he had it securely tied already. Shit! “Trying to escape huh, sweet?” he whispered and a wave of disgu

Damian stood outside his father's office, his heart pounding against his chest. He had spent the entire night thinking about what he would say, how he would convince Alpha Dominic to release Lyra. The conversation with her in the dungeon had changed everything. He couldn't just stand by and watch her suffer anymore. He knocked on the heavy wooden door. "Come in," his father's voice called from inside. Damian pushed the door open and stepped into the room. Alpha Dominic was sitting behind his desk, reading through some papers. He didn't look up when Damian entered. "Father, we need to talk," Damian said, trying to keep his voice steady. "About what?" Dominic still didn't look up from his papers. "About Lyra. About what happened in the forest. About everything." Now Dominic raised his eyes. They were cold and hard. "There's nothing to discuss. The matter has been settled." "No, it hasn't," Damian said, stepping closer to the desk. "She's innocent. She was defending herself from

Kyle wiped the blood from his hunting knife as he walked back toward the packhouse. The hunt had been good today. Three deer and a wild boar would feed his men well tonight. But as he approached the gates, he noticed something different. His men were gathered in small groups, talking in hushed voices. "What's all the noise about?" Kyle asked as he handed his weapons to one of his pack members. "You haven't heard?" Marcus, one of his most trusted men, stepped forward. "Something big happened at Alpha Dominic's place today." Kyle raised an eyebrow. "What kind of something?" "One of his sons got hurt," Marcus said, lowering his voice. "Bad hurt. They're saying he's paralyzed now." "Paralyzed?" Kyle's interest was immediately caught. "How does an alpha get paralyzed? Those boys are supposed to be strong." "That's just it," another man joined the conversation. "Nobody knows how it happened. It's all very mysterious. Some are saying it was an accident during training. Others think it

The news spread like fire through dry leaves. Within minutes, every pack member knew what had happened in the forest. Whispers filled the halls, and shocked faces turned to stare as the word reached Alpha Dominic's ears."One of your sons has been hurt," the messenger said, his voice shaking. "Damon... his face... it's been deformed."Dominic's eyes turned cold as ice. He didn't ask questions. He didn't want to hear explanations. His mind was already made up."Bring me the girl," he ordered. "Now."Two guards dragged Lyra from her room. She was still shaking from what had happened in the forest. Her hands were cut from the thorns, and dirt stained her clothes. But none of that mattered to Dominic."You did this," he said, his voice deadly quiet. "You hurt my son.""I was defending myself," Lyra said, trying to keep her voice steady. "They tried to—""Silence!" Dominic's roar echoed through the room. "I don't want to hear your lies. You've been nothing but trouble since you arrived. No
