Dirty blonde short hair, broad shoulders, muscular back, fine round ass and strong muscular legs, all that covered up in what seemed like a navy blue police uniform.
Wow...who is this guy?
“Arrest me officer, I’ve been a very bad girl!” One of the girls shouted from behind me, creating a ruckus all around us, students in the doorway and also the ones already seated in class bursting into a fit of crazed laughter.
“Who said that?” Ms. Kelley’s high pitched voice shouted highly annoyed, both she and the guy turning to look straight at me.
My eyes widened, quickly shaking my head, trying to say it wasn’t me, finding myself suddenly frozen in my spot once his eyes landed on me.
Ocean blue...The most beautiful eyes I have ever seen in my entire life were now staring right back into mine, digging deep straight into my soul, sending an oddly pleasant vibe.
“Miss Summers, right on time. We were expecting you,” Ms. Kelley stated, crossing her arms over her ample bosoms.
What? What for? I don’t recall doing anything wrong...
“You were?” I asked, staring at her utterly confused.
“Yes, as a matter of fact, officer...” She paused, clearly yet unaware of his name, quickly followed by his answer,
“Azrael.”
Her eyebrows shot up, her gaze quickly shifting to him for a brief moment, obviously taken aback by that answer, just as much as I was.
Azrael? Seriously? What kind of name was that?
“Right, officer Azrael and I,” She started speaking again, putting an emphasis on his name, suddenly closing her mouth again as she looked somewhere past me.
“Shouldn’t you girls be attending your own classes by now?” She asked with a frown, looking at the annoying flock of females right behind me and without even bothering to listen further to their meaningless rants she hurried past me, slamming the door shut in their faces then strode back to her desk, next to the “officer Azrael” guy.
“Now, where were we?” She started speaking again, his burning eyes never leaving my face as she did so,
“Ah yes, as I was saying, officer Azrael and I, we were just talking about your relationship with the victim-”
“Relationship? What relationship? I’m not in any relationship with anyone!” I cut her off mid-sentence, my features instantly contorting into a frown.
What the hell was she talking about?
I haven’t gotten anywhere near a boy in years!
Not that I didn’t want to, but my idiot of a brother like he always is, just likes too much to scare them off.
“Mitch Davies...does that name ring a bell?” She said, raising one eyebrow, looking at me in expectance.
Wait, Mitch is the victim?
Anyway, yeah, that name does ring a bell but the difference is that he wasn’t anywhere near my boyfriend, or anything like that. In fact, he was actually working with my brother...
Obviously, I can’t say anything about that, so here comes the excuse,
“It does ring a bell, but we didn’t have any relationship! We just...barely knew each other,” I explained, hoping they’ll buy it and leave me alone, but the frown creasing her features as soon as I answered was telling otherwise.
“Well, in case you didn’t know, besides the teachers, you are the only one who actually ever interacted with him...so...”
What? Shit! Shit! Damn you Mitch, and your non-existent social life!
“So?” I innocently replied, inviting her to speak further, even though I definitely knew where this conversation was leading to.
“So, I’m afraid you’ll have to follow officer Azrael here. He has some questions for you.”
Of course he does.
Too bad I already knew my lesson.
“Sure,” I shrugged, acting as casual as possible.
He carefully studied me for a couple of moments, right before he moved from his spot and strode past me, towards the door.
“Follow me.”
His deep voice rang from behind me, followed by the sound of the door opening.
Without saying a word, I obeyed his command and exited the classroom, following him down the hallway.
Struggling to keep up with his long strides, I increased my pace, running after him like a lost puppy, totally unaware when he had suddenly stopped, my forehead accidentally colliding with his back.
“S-sorry...” I stuttered, taking a step back, noticing he didn’t even bothered to turn around and look at me, let alone say something.
Well, yeah, judging by his huge, bulky frame compared to my much smaller, fragile one I bet he barely even felt me...
He opened a door and entered an empty classroom, waiting for me to follow, closing the door behind me afterwards.
I chose to remain standing on my spot while he strode towards the teacher’s desk then leaned against it, crossing his bare arms, his bulging muscles looking even bigger.
Desperate to keep him distracted from asking me questions I wasn’t allowed to answer to, I found myself asking the one thing that kept popping in my head.
“Is your name really Azrael? Or is it a nickname or something?”
“Yes, that is really my name,” Came his answer shortly after my question, looking at me rather bored already.
“Really? As in ‘the angel of death’ Azrael?” I jokingly asked, unconsciously escaping a small giggle.
Noticing how his body suddenly stiffened, accompanied by a deep frown now creasing his beautiful features, my smile suddenly went down, instantly regretting those words.
Uh oh...I think I’ve touched a nerve...
Just as I finished that sentence in my head, he was already right in front of me, inches from my body, his evil glare burning holes in my skull.
“How do you know about that?”
Is this guy for real?
“F-from the Bible, like everybody else on this planet?” I stuttered unsure, the coldness in his deep blue irises suddenly switching into something I couldn’t quite decipher, until I noticed how his gaze slowly went down, so I followed the action, gasping in utter embarrassment once I've realized what I was doing.
My hand was firmly clutched onto his forearm, my nails deeply digging into his soft, barely tanned skin.
“I-I’m s-so sorry!” I stuttered, quickly removing my hand from his arm like it was on fire.
He blankly stared at my face for a couple of moments, seemingly shocked, right before his gaze went down again, his huge palms gently cupping my much smaller ones, sending oddly pleasant, warm vibes travelling throughout my entire body.
What the fuck is he doing?
“Dude, what are you-”
I suddenly stopped talking, watching how he slowly, hesitantly lifted my palms and placed them either side of his face, closing his eyes for a brief moment and deeply exhaling.
“Hey, dude, are you ok?” I tried to be nice though he was definitely freaking me out already.
His eyelids suddenly flew open, that deep blue visibly darkening by the second, right before he quickly stormed past me, slamming the door shut behind him, leaving me standing in there all alone, utterly shocked.
What the fuck was that?
“That was...”“Fate. She’s the archangel of fate,” My father quickly answered from right behind me as I entered the front door of our house.Fate...My mind whispered, watching my brother walk right ahead of me as he strode right towards the grand living room, instantly remembering Aleya’s words,“...you brought him back. You sentenced him to an endless life.Because of you, he will never pass through the Guarded Kingdom’s gates; hence, he will never see his parents again.”A heavy pang of guilt settled inside my chest, my legs moving faster on their own accord right towards him and before he could pour himself a drink from the mini-bar my hand clutched onto his arm, momentarily stopping his every action, our eyes instantly meeting and with a small and strained voice I whispered,“I’m sorry...”“I’m so sorry...” My voice raised a little bit, blinking back the small tears already prickling at the corners of my eyes, watching him stare at me for a couple of moments in complete silence b
Deep silence floated between us, the time seeming to stop as we intensely stared at each other, frozen in our spots, my entire frame lightly shaking as I watched those now midnight blue eyes drill into mine, their ardor and longing leaving me utterly speechless. The soft touch of a warm hand gingerly gripping my shoulder instantly broke me out of my trance-like state, only to notice my father standing right behind me as I quickly turned around, his warm gaze finding my own as he softly said,“Come on. We still have some damage to fix.”Blinking a few times, I took a glance to our completely destroyed surroundings, obviously feeling a little skeptical. This place is a complete mess...How is he expecting to fix it back?“But...how are we gonna do this?” I asked, curiously eyeing him.Offering me a warm smile, he gently stretched his hand out for me to take, a simple yet very meaningful question tumbling out his lips,“Do you trust me?”One word. One word crossed my mind yet I remained s
Warmly smiling down at me, his warm and bulky arms gingerly wrapped around me as he whispered,“Come on, child. Let’s go save the world.”And with a single whoosh we were already darting towards the crimson sky, the cool breeze touching the bare areas of my skin making me involuntarily snuggle deeper in my creator’s warm chest, at the same time feeling that awfully familiar sensation creeping up inside me, remembering that young woman’s figure.“What was my mother’s full name?” I suddenly found myself asking, those two specific words sounding so foreign in my ears as I said them out loud for the first time since I’ve found out about my true origins, consciously avoiding his gaze as I did so.“Natalie Pierce.”The stench of blood, combined with putrid and burning flesh wafted through the air, my eyes attentively following the trail of crimson and bodies as we smoothly glided through the air, my arms wrapping tighter around my father’s neck, struggling to keep the bile rising in my thro
BlakeGasping for air, my eyelids suddenly fluttered open, my whole body strangely feeling lighter than a feather. Small tingles still danced in the spot where Aleya’s knife was supposed to be but the moment I took a glimpse down, nothing was there anymore. Just my plain tank top, whole and untouched.Huh...I stared at it for a few seconds, still trying to understand what the hell just happened, but the moment I raised my sight and took a view at my surroundings, my lips suddenly escaped a small gasp, finding myself in a rather strange place.“Hello?Luc!Ricky?”My strained voice loudly echoed across the cold and deserted area, my sensitive eyes squinting through the dense mist, struggling to focus on the darkened shapes.Tombstones. Tombstones everywhere. What is this place?“Hello?” I tried yet again, remotely taking a few steps forward, hoping to at least find someone in this wretched place. And only after a few moments, a slender shadow appeared to be making its way towards me,
Lucifer My breath suddenly stopped in my throat, feeling like my very essence was being squeezed out of me as I stared wide-eyed at the horror scene unfolding right in front of my eyes.Large amounts of blood trailed down her bare legs, dripping on the lush green grass, also staining Aleya’s pure white robe and after only a few choking sounds, her lifeless body fell down on the ground with a dull thud, Rick’s desperate screams filling the gravely silent air.“Noooo!”My body slowly slumped down against the thick tree trunk, blinking a few times, finally free from Aleya’s compulsion yet still unable to register what just happened.No...she can’t be gone...I took a glance at my brothers, noticing how Michael simply fell on his knees in defeat, blankly staring at his child’s lifeless body, his eyes becoming glassy with unshed tears while Gabriel sat against the nearest tree, mirroring my position, also too shocked to do anything at all.“No, please be ok! Please don’t leave me! Please,
“So? What’s it gonna be, brother? Are we going to bid our goodbyes in good terms or not?” Michael asked, expectantly eyeing the angel in front of us, watching how he nervously ran a hand through his dark locks, a lost look reflecting in his sea green irises.A few moments of utter silence passed before his shoulders slowly slumped in defeat, quietly saying,“I...I can’t...”“No. I will not carry the burden of destroying the entire human world,” He lightly shook his head, keeping his gaze down and after only a few seconds, his sorrow-filled gaze returned to Michael as he truthfully said,“I am very sorry for placing you in this...this situation...”A loud exhale escaped his lips, the silvery blade falling from his hands on the lush green grass as he turned to his companions, lightly shaking his head once again,“We’ll just-”“How dare you?” A feminine high-pitched voice suddenly pierced through the air, seemingly not too far away and the moment we snapped our heads in the direction it
