Chapter: THE CEO'S HOUSEMATES
LucianTime passed slowly. People started going home around five in the morning. I left Gianne to look for a cab to take her home. I didn't want company rumors. I got home. The moment I opened the door, I was welcomed by the aroma of toast. I've changed my passcode for the fifth time this year. They always find out what it is.I went upstairs to get changed and came back down to see Elliot and Orion eating toast and drinking tea in the dining area. Orion was eating like a man starved for days. Many people don't know this, but Orion has been my friend since childhood because our grandparents are best friends. Elliot is our third friend. We became friends when he enrolled in our kindergarten."Courtesy demands you wait for the house owner before coming inside," I said, grabbing some toast and sitting down with them to have tea."And courtesy demands you accept your friend's invitation to a show. I was fighting for my life while chasing your car," Elliot ranted."Go through the right cha

Chapter: THE CEO'S FAVORITE
Lucian "What?" she scoffed. "Muse is reaching." Reaching? Isn't that what it's called? She looked completely flustered. She'll never admit it. I recognized her stubbornness from her first week at work."You'll be trending for a while.""Why?""The cooking show, you have a meme too." The POVs of her online are funny and kind of... cute. She performed so well that nobody knew we faked it. She brought out her phone, and her face showed her surprise. She's what my past PAs were not, daring, quick to act. That's why they couldn't keep up with me. My grandmother wants me to keep her around because she loves her worldview."I'm not the only one with a meme," she said in a rushed, relaxed tone. I'm all over everywhere too. The last time it happened was when I appeared on TV with my uncle's family. I didn't like the attention I was receiving, so I had to stay off cameras. I did my best to avoid it today, i failed."My idea of a perfect man, POV: me staying on the side and letting my husband

Chapter: PICNIC NIGHT
The chauffeur drove us out of the gate. The man kept running after us until he reached the gate, and we sped away. He was panting heavily, giving us the middle finger. Lucian faced forward. His phone rang as the man put his own phone to his ear, but Lucian didn't answer. He simply slipped his phone back into his suit pocket. They seemed close enough if he had Lucian's contact. I turned to the front and picked up my half-finished painting. I had to stop by the mall to get a painting kit. I could stay up all night because of this, if sleep didn't get in my way. This painting could give a different message from the one she gave me. I unrolled it completely before rolling it up again and tucking it away safely.Shortly after, we stopped by the waterside. It looked more like a picnic had already been arranged. What was going on? I spotted a few people from work. Orion Kade was here too. Maybe this was where he'd been all along."It's your first work picnic, Miss Morgan. You look clueless.

Chapter: THE ART OF SURVIVAL
Gianne I stood in front of the ingredients, sweat breaking out across my forehead. I made such a silly mistake calling myself the main cook. It's not like I can't do anything at all, but even I know my cooking skills aren't credible. It was going to taste like the sea.I started slicing a vegetable when the woman lifted an eyebrow.Am I not supposed to cut it? what is she doing? She gestured toward the board. Right, i had to write the dish I'll be cooking. What is the easiest thing I could think of?I counted the ingredients. There were more in stock too. I picked up the marker and wrote Marinated Chicken and Spaghetti and Homemade Apple Juice. At least one of them is easy. The lights went off, and the spotlight shone directly on us. All the attention shifted to me and what I'm doing. The camera zoomed in on my hands. I hope this isn't the end of me. I know what public embarrassment feels like. This shouldn't somehow become another problem attached to my name.My hands trembled sligh

Chapter: TROUBLE ON THE STOVE
Gianne I turned over in bed as I tried to find sleep before going about my day, but I couldn't because I had something to do. I got up, opened my Notes app, and studied what I'd written down. I didn't know if I should start this one yet. If I did today, I wouldn't be able to finish it. I went through my unfinished painting collection in my wardrobe. The last time I painted was in high school. I don't even tell people I paint. I took out one of my unfinished paintings and brought out my painting kit. Incomplete. I sighed. What was I expecting? This was the one my sister used last year. Orion's call came through."Hello.""Mr. Blackwood is participating in an orphanage charity event today. I have something urgent to do. I'll forward you the address. Come." He said it all in a rush before hanging up.I didn't know Lucian had something to do today. He didn't bother telling me. A charity event? I thought he was one of those selfish, cold billionaires. I slipped into something comfortable

Chapter: AS FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER
Gianne We turned on the news in the car. I was ready to track everything, just to know something. I held my phone in my hands, glancing at it multiple times. Then the evening news was delivered.Thor struck, i knew he had too much influence. I turned my head toward the window. Orion Kade took a turn, driving somewhere else and speeding up. I was too tired to question it, so I just sat there. Through the rearview mirror, I spotted a car following us. It was the same car we brought to the city."We have company." I crossed my arms, my eyes never leaving the rearview mirror."They've been following us for the past few hours. You didn't notice."So he knew and didn't say anything about it. We drove into the airport, and our car parked. Orion made a call for someone to take the car, and I followed him. Despite all my defiance about not coming without Lucian, I ended up here anyway. We reached the private jet, and Orion went in. I was still on its steps when I saw Lucian Blackwood getting
