Chapter sixteen

When I returned home last night, I couldn't find sleep. When we said farewell to everyone and I drove Della home, she didn't talk to me the whole journey. When I tried to apologize, she told me she was tired and we would talk next time. She must be pissed for the way I talked to her. I am to blame. I let my emotions get into my head.

When my intercom buzzes, I answer immediately.

"Mr. Armstrong. Ms Henley is here to see you." Kristy, my secretary announces.

"I don't want to see her." I mutter immediately.

"Ms..stop. He says he doesn't want to see you. She is coming." Kristy informs.

I sigh when I hang up. Immediately my door opens to reveal a scowling Henley.

"What was that Crescent?" she says angrily.

"Just the person I didn't want to see." I glare. I don't bother hiding the annoyance in my voice.

Henley walks further taking a seat without my permission.
