Chapter 89 – Lance To say that I’m exhausted after the long performance at the wedding was definitely an understatement. I’m more than exhausted, in fact, I’m excited to sit down and have a moment but on the positive side of things, I’m through the roof and exceedingly satisfied with how we performed. Chapter 90 – Lance It’s been several days since the wedding was over and everything went back to normal. So far nothing has gone weird or exciting and I might say it has gone back to being overtly typical. My life returned to waking up just doing my own stuff and then going to the café by the afternoon and going to my nightly gigs by nightfall. The only change I had was I am now starting to pull out all of the songs that I’ve shelved and began singing them trying find good bops because I know most of the songs that I wrote are either mid-tempo ballads or just a sad song with no sick beat. Chapter 92 – Joyce They say time and tide wait for no man nor a woman. And I say that’s precisely true. Chapter 93 – Lance “Damn, you look like you’re really good at playing both cards.” The woman whispered breathily right into my earlobe. The hot steam coming off from her mouth gave me a nice pleasurable sensation. Chapter 94 – Jayler I stared at my own picture hanging on the wall with the words ‘Employee of the Month’ written under the frame. I’ve never been so accomplished in my life but this feels unexpectedly correct. It definitely felt good to be recognized as one of the hardworking employee of Kimmy’s even though I’m just new here. I’ve only been here for less than six months and look at me, I’m this month’s best employee. Chapter 95 – Lance Wins’ Lounge quickly became a popular acoustic lounge here in the port city of Hamilton. Not only that it’s strategically located in the heart of the city but it’s also the only lounge that has live singing, hence my job has never been more integral than before. There are other freelance bands who do some gigs too but my boss was smart enough to hire me as its exclusive singer. Chapter 96 – Jayler Being in a workplace with your hot boyfriend seemed to be the best thing that happened to me in this lifetime.
