Bea was surprised when she heard Caleb whisper it on her ears. Did he even know what would happen if she becomes his mother? Of course, she would not do it. But even if her resolve was clear, she could not bring herself to tell him no.
“Should I try the claw machine?” Bea asked Caleb. “Is there anything you want from there?”
Caleb looked at the contents of the claw machine and he saw a fluffy teddy bear.
“Can I have that one?” Caleb pointed at the panda.
“Let’s see if I can get it.” Bea smiled as she put a token on the slot. She moved the crane carefully until it was aligned with the bear. She pressed the button then she saw the look of excitement in Caleb’s eyes when the claw grasped the bear. However, the bear dropped before it reached the prize slot.
“Ow.” Caleb sounded disappointed.
