Today, Juliet requested more staff, but the higher-ups said the department was adequately staffed, implying there would be no additional hires.

Without more staff, someone had to do the job, and the most suitable candidate was Serena, the "idle" one.

Serena saw right through Juliet's intentions. "Juliet, don't forget, we're on the same team, we rise and fall together. Think about it, you’re not on the same side as Katrina. We need to design a plan to beat them, so someone else has to do the secretarial work…”

She pointed outside, beyond the wall. "And I'm not the only new person here. Why can't you have someone from the other side do it?"

Picking on the weak might be easy, but Serena wasn't someone to be trifled with.

Juliet really wanted to snap back at Serena. How could she compare herself to someone like Katrina?

Katrina was a top student, a graduate from a prestigious design university, while Serena was nothing of the sort. How could she have the nerve to say such things?
