CHAPTER SIX

“Max— Babe.” I corrected.

I couldn't have yesterday repeat itself. If he wanted endearments, I would just give it to him.

“Enter.”

I sighed and straightened my posture before opening the door.

Maximilian was sitting in front of the mirror, brushing his hair.

My mind flashed back to what happened last night but I quickly dismissed it as I closed the door. I placed the tray on the comfy bed and poured the content of the water in the glass cup. I walked over to Maximilian and placed the cup on the table.

“How was your hunt, darling?”

I instinctively grabbed the brush from his hand and started brushing through his long luxurious tresses.

“I discovered that the vampire who attacked you was one of Felix's men. I know you like Felix but—”

“—If you distrust Felix because his disobedient man tried to kill me then..” I trailed off.

Maximilian sighed, “That's not what I meant but I've offended too many people, I don't know who I can actually count on. It's fine if they attack me but they know they can't so they'll try to cross my people first.”

My gaze shifted to Maximilian's face and based on the tone of his voice, I could tell he was being genuine so i moved the brush away and put my arms around his neck.

“You have me. You can teach me how to use my powers properly, I can be your weapon—”

Maximilian disengaged from the hug and interupted in a sharp tone, “—No.”

At that point, I let myself slip.

“Why not? Didn't you turn me to a vampire? I'm sure I can protect myself and the others if you just teach me how to use your blood.”

“Is this how you talk to your master and lord, Cyra?”

“Is that a threat, baby?”

Maximilian eyes glowed even brighter than usual. I put the brush in front of me as a weapon to protect me in case, he suddenly appeared in front me.

“It seems I need to put you in your place.”

“Why won't you teach me how to use your blood! Do you fear I'll someday be able to take you down with it, coward!”

Maximilian clenched his fists while remaining still on the chair.

“Don't push me, slut.”

“Oh! Then don't push me, beast.”

Maximilian gathered himself from the chair and appeared in front of me before I had the chance to react.

We stared face to face and I could feel the energy sipping right through him and I could feel it real heavy and strong.

“Get out.”

I froze.

Finally recognising the energy when I stared straight into his eyes, I felt myself tear up. Was he hurt?

“Get out.” He repeated harshly.

I must've lost my mind. Why did I call him a beast out loud? Was I crazy? It was lucky he didn't rip my heart out already.

“I'm sorry,” I whispered while staring down at my shoes. “I must have lost my mind for a moment. I didn't mean to call you that.. I just—”

“-—Leave. I don't want to see you.” Maximilian interrupted.

“I shall leave my love but first..”

After seeing Maximilian's expression when I called him my love. I knew my charm was working.

“I beg for your forgiveness.” I took three steps towards him, closing the distance between us.

“I did not intend to sound harsh,” I held his hands and put them around my waist and I cuddled myself into his embrace. “I just want to feel powerful enough to protect myself and the mansion when you're not here. When the vampire attacked me yesterday. I was so scared, I thought I would die.”

Maximilian hugged me back tightly, “I'm sorry you felt that way because of me. I promise to make my territory a safer place for you and the others.”

I was a bit surprised. Now that I thought of it, Bosvana theory was beginning to make sense.

I didn't know much about love but I knew one thing. He wouldn't kill me.

A smirk appeared on the corner of my lips. If that was so then..

“Please teach me one method to protect myself too Babyyy, pleaseee.” I moved away from the tight hug and forced myself to stare at Maximilian in the eyes with pouted lips.

He sighed and ran his fingers through my face softly.

“Fine.”

I smiled wide and grabbed his hands before leading him towards the bed while he stared at me, confused.

“What are you doing?”

I carried the tray from the side of the bed and placed it on the table. I also walked towards the door and locked it.

I turned on the lights and Maximilian stared at me with confusion.

“Darling?”

With a seductive smile, I walked towards Maximilian and pushed him to the bed with a finger. I slowly removed my dress revealing my matching black bra and underwear.

“Are you trying to seduce me?” he chuckled while making himself comfortable on the bed.

He was wearing only a thin robe and his boner was obvious. I smiled. I didn't even do anything and he was already aroused.

I grabbed the bottled water and fed Maximilian some. Afterwards, I flung it to the side and climbed him until I was sitting on his lap with his boner pressing hard against my butt.

I relaxed completely into his hard form and started grinding against him.

He merely smiled while staring back at me. I leaned in and started unbuttoning his robe until I could feel his hard chest.

Tempted, I licked the spot in between his chest and felt myself get wet when he groaned. Even his voice was such a turn on.

I leaned further up licked up his Adam's apple.

“Baby..” He groaned, “You're driving me insane.”

I moved further up untill I sealed his lips into a kiss. It started soft and slow and I held Maximilian's hands in place so they didn't wander as we kissed.

Something about the kiss felt intimate as I held him, softly kissing him with my body pressed up against his.

I broke away from the kiss to breathe only to kiss him once more. Maximilian kissed me back with more passion and his hands easily slipped through mine and caressed my back.

When we broke away from the kiss I hugged Maximilian tightly and we just stayed there, holding each other.

It felt odd..

Why did I feel this comfortable with him?

Why wasn't he pushing me away? As far as I knew, he didn't like people clinging onto him?

Why wasn't he complaining when I turned him on but didn't give him anything more than kisses?

That was weird as fuck.

I disengaged from the hug and Maximilian looked at me, not fully letting go of me, “What's wrong?”

I was even more stupefied.

Now that I thought about it, he hadn't attempted to push me away in recent years. And it scared me.

Was he acting extra nice towards me or was I just noticing that he'd always been like this towards me.

“Cyra?” Maximilian hands were on my shoulders, shaking me awake.

“Uh— I.. I — Babe I just..”

“What?” Maximilian eyes were looking at me closely now with worry.

Did he always look at me like that or was I just noticing it?

Did Maximilian like me?

As the thought came, it disappeared.

I was probably overthinking due to what Bosvana said before.

Maximilian couldn't like me.

“I'm fine.” I smiled and brushed my lips against his quickly before slowly moving away from him. “I just worry about the vampire that attacked me before. If it wasn't for you, he probably would've killed me.”

“I'll teach you.”

“Huh?”

“I'll teach you how to defend yourself from any attack but it's only to be a move.”

Without thinking, I jumped into Maximilian's arms and hugged him tightly. “Thank you so much!”

If he taught me this move, would I be able to use it to defeat him?

Before he could react, I pulled away from him. “Could you please teach me the move?”

“I don't have to, it's something you already know how to do, you only need to enhance it.”

I racked my brain.

What could that be? I had no successful accomplishments in sparring against him either. It always ended up with him fucking him brains out.

“Darling I don't seem to remember,” I chuckled kindly, “Could you please remind me?” I grinned and I was certain I looked like a submissive enugch trying to gather a king's praise.

“Of course,” Maximilian cleared his throat, “But you have to promise me something first.”

“What?”

“Spend the night with me from now on?”

“Okay.” I said without hesitation. As long as he reminded me the move I used before. I could use it to kill him and escape from here.

Maximilian let out a sinister smile. “The move is called..”

I nodded, urging him to continue.

“Running.”

My heart stopped.

That was it?

He tricked me.

He fucking tricked me.

And like the idiot I was, I already accepted the end of the bargain.

I was so dead.

But that was no problem.. later I could just stay in my room and pretend to be asleep.

Then I wouldn't have to deal with him.
