There, Ichabod and all his wild angels exists. Some of his angels, he would send to Earth's realm to steal, to kill and to put into chaos, the humans and all their seeds. Just for fun. They would always come back and give account of their works to Ichabod their grande master, who sits on his blazing throne always. Each successful work on Earth's realm fetches them a new rank and pack in a hierarchical order. Ichabod's eldest son, Lacian took right after his father, ruthless, heartless and merciless. He is the worthy heir apparent to the throne, he had the most handsome little brother, Lucian whom he felt they were in some kind of secret competition because of his tempting looks and physique. Lucian looks like a polished gold coming straight from a furnace of fire. He is so sinful in the eyes that even the straightest of the angels couldn't help but look and drool. Lacian hated his little brother so much because of literally, nothing. He had thought of getting rid of him so many times, he couldn't help it, but he knew, their mother loves him even more than Ichabod himself. You wouldn't dare to look for Lucian's trouble. Else, you would face the wrath of Superior Mother Megan. Lacian could only use his rank to bully Lucian all the time, which was celestially legal, making sure he reminds him always that, come rain come shine, he would always be his eldest brother. And that, Lucian never minded to fault. He was always minding his business and saw Lacian's irritation for him as a normal way of life. All the Angels in Dulmore had a mark at the left side of their chest. It was a kind of big Loop in circles with a lock in the middle of it. When a seed is borne, Ichabod personally instills the mark on their chest, welcoming them to the deepest celestial pit and brotherhood of Dulmore. It would be a big festival, because new born seeds are rare and would always occur, thrice in a year. But Lucifer had a mission which had never been successful since his rule, rather, since his existence. The mission was to extract the forged excalibar from the lines gate of earth. The excalibar would give him divine dominion to rule over all the Earth's realm and beyond. But the white angels from the moon realm, Ishka would never allow his minions to get hold of the excalibar. Even Lacian with his pack had been sent, several times. They ravaged all the corners of earth, yet there was no sight of it. Maybe they weren't committed enough. One fateful day, Ichabod summoned his legion of angels who assembled before him and his fire queen, superior mother Megan on his blazing throne. They all knelt down with a knee and their heads were slightly bowed in reverence to their grande master. Ichabod adjusted himself as he began with his silkily dreary voice. "It's been several moons, almost a millennium and this celestial abode is still in the quest of bringing home, the excalibar from the lines gate of earth. But I strongly believe that you folks are stupidly reluctant and shameless that you let the moon angels; mere flower petals to make away with it all the time. All because you allowed your third legs to do the walkings instead of otherwise. But this time, I would be putting a bounty on the quest. A great bounty at that. Anyone who would come home with the excalibar in one piece would be made the Prince worthy of the Dulmore's blazing throne." Lacian on hearing that, raised his head with a narrowed brow, worry and surprise was written all over his little godly face. He looked over at his mother who sat all this while, unscathed on her throne looking ahead like she didn't hear what Ichabod had just spat. Then he looked over at his father again and began with a shaky but daring voice. "But, Father, I had always been the crowned Prince. Why sell my birthright because of a mere excalibar that you don't even know if it's existing?" At the sound of that, all the angels were heard flinching in fear. No one ever talked back at Ichabod whenever he was giving an undiluted speech, straight from his own mouth. Ichabod knew he would get the comeback from Lacian. Nothing is ever new to him. With his eyes slowly looking down at Lacian in a visible disdain and disgust, he replied; "How ever would you know if the excalibar existed or not? When you took your time down there to lavish my wealth on women and liquor. Three good trials Lacian and you failed. Woefully. I guess it's time you learnt your long due lessons, son." "Send me father. I promise to go down there and make home with the Excalibar." Lucian said with his head slightly bowed the whole time. He had always wanted to leave Dulmore and see what life outside of it really looked like, not because he wanted the throne, he only saw that moment as a great opportunity. Lacian's face burned with obvious rage as he slightly turned to glare at his younger brother who unknowingly dared him. He must have so much guts to think he could get his throne. "Send me again father, and I promise this time, It won't be another tale." Lacian begged, looking Ichabod straight in the eyes trying to communicate with him to not put him into shame. He wouldn't give Lucian the benefit of winning. Ichabod's lower lip curled up in a devilish smirk. He knew his sons were never in the same log book. But he wanted to punish Lacian for allowing the moon angels win them three times in a row. He was certain sending Lucian would be a waste of time, because he doesn't believe in him as much as Mother Megan does. But he wanted to set Lacian's butt ablaze for making a fool of his commands. "It's time to send Lucian and his Pack. Let's see what they could pull. And it would be a great ceremony and crowning when he comes back with the excalibar. Without much Ado, I send you now, Lucian!" Ichabod commanded from his throne setting out his hand with his giant tongs towards Lucian, Go forth into the earth's realm and bring home the excalibar!" Lacian only watched as a chill powerful breeze surged from his father's giant tong, flushing Lucian and his small Pack out of the Celestial into the earth's realm from the divinity portal. Lacian allowed his head to fall in defeat as his pack took him away from the feet of the blazing throne. Mother Megan after a brief moment, turned to Ichabod with a very cold expression and said, "I knew you sent Lucian not because he asked, but because you wanted to punish Lacian wickedly." Ichabod let out a chilled throaty chuckle and gave Mother Megan a side glance as he said, "How long have I lived with you?" He asked her with his brows slightly narrowing down with a little nod as he continued coldly. "You definitely could pass for my instincts." "If anything happens to Lucian. You would have me to deal with, Ichabod. I hope you know so well the cards you're playing. Front and back." Mother Megan threatened as she left her throne for her chambers with majestic sways and her crowned head was held high the whole time. The silence that enveloped the library could be perceived as a very unfiltered quiescence, equanimity in short. The door was ajar, the chirping and tweeting of the birds were like music to the ears as it formed the background of the usual serenity.Behind the desk was Lucian whose square shoulders reclined on his chair while his dead eyes travelled far away from the library through the spacious window, he was hardly blinking, before him a chessboard sat, while he twirled a piece in his hand, allowing him a smooth passage to his deliberations but each time he took a walk to his head, he'd always bump into the vivid memories of the one little human that had managed to turn his frigid heart to a helpless oscillatory pendulum. On the other end behind him, Ash and Theo had been worried sick about Lucian who had locked himself up in his room, refusing to go to work or pick his calls. He hadn't even talked about eating since that very day at the office, they don't know if he is doing fine or
When the door banged shut, there came a sudden change in the temperature of the room as Lucian and Selene's eyes locked up in what seemed like a subtle battle contest. Lucian stood up from his seat not breaking the fierce eye-contact, roughed his raven-black hair and circled round his space to lean on the edge of his matte desk facing the door with his shoulders hanged, comfortably. All one could here for the seemingly instant weird moment was the ticking sounds of the wall clock. Lucian was a powerful man who could have anything and anyone he likes and wouldn't stand to be questioned, but before Selene he felt quite remorseful. Crossing his legs and arms, he looked up softly at Selene whose nose had turned so red like a snowman with a carrot stuck up his face for a nose. "You should have knocked, woman." Came a very recollected and unequivocally calm voice. Selene wasn't in the mood to entertain his mischievous and tyrannical attitude and he could read the signs from her darkened
Morning came and Selene was so tired out to move. she had a very strange dream and the worst part of it was, she couldn't remember a thing, but something was very significant and deeply inscribed in her memory; Fiori appeared to her and was trying to communicate an information which unfortunately, she couldn't make a meaning out of. Apart from the apparition, every other thing was vague and cloudy. Looking beside her, Stephanie was gone for the day's work but she left her a note glued to her dressing mirror. Selene managed to drag herself out of the bed and when she reached for the note, she groaned a cuss. *You had a bad dream, I watched you struggle last night. I wish I could stay but I have a tight schedule. I made you breakfast and check your phone, a message came in earlier.* Selene got her phone and it was Lucian's name as the message sender. Seeing the formality and flatness of the message, she got reminded again of how Lucian was nothing but just her boss and she tried her
Selene struggled with unlocking her apartment in her distress and when she finally had it unlocked, she threw her bag on the bed and stomped into the bathroom to take her shower. She sat on the tub for twenty straight minutes as her emotions got the vulnerable part of her, making her cry and whimper in disappointment and resentment, she held onto her knees and buried her face between them. Finally, when she got over herself, she stepped out of the tub on her robe, her eyes shot of blood as she damped her hair, standing before her nightstand, she stared at the locket sitting complacently on it and detested how her life revolves around it for a minute before she picked it up and reluctantly called on Mother Queila. There was no answer and she felt very guilty remembering the last call she had with Celia. She swallowed hard and exhaled tentatively preparing her mind to face Mother Queila when a loud knock interrupted. Getting the door, Stephanie stomped into her room and stood before
Selene laughed out loudly in surprise as she stared at Lucian whose indolent eyes were now fixed on hers. "You have a degree in turning tables, don't you?" "Just like you, with asking alot." He retorted as he brought out his sunshades and started cleaning the lenses with his white silky handkerchief. Selene frantically licked her lips, folded them in and glued her eyes on the windscreen, praying fervently for Lucian to not get invested because there was absolutely nothing about her that he needed to know. "I'm hanging, Selene?" Her prayers weren't answered. Lucian's paying rapt attention to her now. He confirmed it as he continued, "I mean, you have seen my brothers, Ash and Theo, my aunt, Arabella, my family house, my drivers, Olaf and Reggie, my company and you are about to see my annex. But the only information I have about you is just your name?" That clever deduction from Lucian kept Selene on her toes, her bladder suddenly became full and she felt a surprising urge to use
Lucian helplessly looked on silently as Arabella wobbled her way up untill she was out of sight, it felt strikingly preposterous that he began to wonder if this would eventually happen to Selene in the next decades to come. Being a human is quite inhumane, it seems. After a couple of minutes of introspection, he stood up and helped himself up the stairs. Getting to the corridor that led to his room which stood at the extreme of the second floor, he felt a lump up above his Adam's apple when his eyes caught Selene's contour from underneath her door which the light behind her reflected, she was throwing on a nightie provided by Arabella and her cups were as firm as her obdurate persona. He stopped in his tracks as he licked his perfect full lips, wet. Unknown desire stirring up his blood. Just then, Selene's door creaked open and she almost screamed when she saw Lucian standing across her door, she was so bewildered that she dramatically crossed her arms over her chest, beseeching he
