As we drove back to the hotel, the silence between us was thick with unspoken thoughts. The city lights blurred by outside the car window, but my mind was focused on one thing. Jesse Cain. I couldn’t stop thinking about how Uncle Jesse had betrayed Nathan, about how he had played a part in the Stones’ move against him.
