Lily

I opened my eyes hearing the soft beeping sound of a machine and tilted my head towards the sound only to see a monitor. But I was too tired to keep them open, so I closed my eyes with a soft sigh.

“ She is awake,” a soft feminine voice said which made me open my eyes again.

I looked towards the way the voice came from only to be shocked to see so many eyes were already staring down at me.

“ I……I……. Who are you?” I asked, my voice sounded hoarse and rough.

“ I am Maria and these are my team and they are the warriors,” she said, introducing herself and the others. I looked at each one of them but there were still two other people standing there who she didn't introduce.

Then I looked at my surroundings, it wasn't a hospital and it looked very much like a room of someone very important or should I say dangerous.

“ Where is this place?” I asked, shifting my attention to her.

“ Why am I here?” My next question shocked them all.

I kept staring at Maria who opened her mouth to say something before closing them again, and then I saw something flickered in her eyes before she spoke.

“ You…….. you don't remember?” she asked carefully, stepping closer to the bed but didn't dare to sit next to me. I only shook my head at her.

“ I…… only remember my name,” I said, and I could feel a lump forming in my throat as my vision blurred.

“ And what is it?” A deep, velvety and dangerous voice said. It didn't belong to any of them. Then they all parted for the owner of the voice as heade his way towards me.

My breath hitched looking into his green eyes piercing through me like he is solving some unknown mystery.

He is tall with broadening shoulders, dark brown hair. His jaw was sharp and chiseled with a pointed nose. His skin was fair. I have never seen such a handsome creature until now.

“ What is your name?” he repeated his question again as he stood right beside me.

“ Lily”!!!

“ How did you end up in that forest?” Someone asked.

“ I am Damien by the way,” he said, he was the one standing there before and Maria didn't introduce them.

“ I…… don't remember,” I said, my voice trembling. How did I end up like this? I asked myself.

“ It's okay, we will work on that later. Right now you need rest and you need to recover from all your injuries,” Maria said quickly.

“ You don't remember where you come from? Or your family?” Damien asked.

“ Damien.”

“ Alpha,” he immediately stood straight.

So he is their Alpha. No wonder he is radiating such a powerful aura.

“ Do you have a wolf, lily?” He asked, looking into my eyes. I don't know why I am so drawn to him. I want him to cradle me in his arms, I want him closer to me.

“ Yes,” I replied, averting my gaze from him. The moment I looked away from him the air around us changed.

“ Leave us alone,” he ordered after a couple of seconds.

“ Alpha, she needs rest,” Maria explained, sensing he is getting angry.

“ We can't pressure her to remember…… her words were cut off by his low growl, which made me flinch.

“ I wish to talk to her alone,” he said and one by one everyone emptied the room leaving us alone.

From the corner of my eyes I saw him turning around and walking towards the chair before dragging it back until he was standing right beside me.

He took a seat maintaining a respectable distance between us, I could still feel his heat. He didn't say anything but kept his eyes on me.

“ Do you need water?” He asked, staring at my mouth.

“ Yes,” I said, and tried to sit up straight, as soon as I did a sharp pain shot through my ribs.

“ Let me help you,” with that he came towards me and helped me sit up on the bed. Then he handed me a glass of water. I took the glass from him and emptied it in one go. After I finished it, he took the glass from my hand and placed it on the side table.

“ Thank you Alpha.”

“ Now, I need to know a few things and I am sure you will cooperate with me,” he said, looking at me expectingly. I nodded my head.

“ You said you have a wolf, what is her name?” He asked.

“ Maya,” a low whisper echoed in my head.

“ Maya.”

“ Do you remember anything about how you ended up in that part of the forest?” He asked.

“ Please believe me I don't remember anything,” I said.

I understand it is difficult for him to believe me but I am trying to remember something, anything but I couldn't.

“ Hmmm,” he only hummed in response. His response made me somewhat disappointed.

“ since you can't remember who you are and where you came from…. He paused for a few moments gauging my reactions.

“ Let me make an offer,” he finished his words.

“ I will take you in till you remember everything. Till then you will live here under my protection. Are you okay with that?” He asked.

“ I…… I……

“ and after you remember everything, you can decide where you want to go. If you wish to go with your previous pack, no one will stop you,” he said, clenching his fists on his lap.

“ Thank you. Alpha. For your kindness,” I thanked him, gulping the lump in my throat. Why do I feel like no one ever showed me this type of kindness?

The back of my eyes burned and I blinked the tears back. I don't want to cry in front of me. I don't want him to think I am weak, but another tiny part of me wants to cry my heart out in his arms.

“ You can stay here until you recover from your injuries,” he said.

“ Rest, someone will be here and if you need anything just tell them,” he said as he stood up from the chair.

Before he turned around, I grabbed his wrist, stopping him on his track.

He halted, looking down at my hand before he looked at me.

“ I want to know something,” I said. He waited for me to continue.

“ How did you find you? I mean where? And what condition I was in?” The moment the words left my mouth his face went hard and his eyes became cold.

After he told me everything, the little bit of energy I had left in me drained from my body. Thousands of questions started swirling around my mind. I was stuck on the name of the blue heaven pack. What was I doing there? Why did I lose my memory?

“ You don't have to worry about anything, the rogues are dead,” he said.

“ Thank you for saving me,” I said, my voice trembling. I kept my eyes on the bed as I was unable to look up at him.

I heard him sigh, before he put his index finger under my chin and lifted it up to meet his gaze.

“ You will stay here until you recover,” he said, searching my eyes.

“ I will,” I said before I could even stop myself.

“ I will not let any harm come near you, Lily,” he added.

I gave him a nod and only then he let go of my chin and stepped back.

I saw him turning around and walking out of the room.

The moment he closed the door a soft sob escaped my lips as my shoulder trembled.

Thank you moon goddess for sending him to save me, I silently thanked her and let myself fall on the mattress again. The scent on the pillow made me calm down.

“ Maya?” I called my wolf and waited for a reply but there was nothing. She sounded weak when she told me her name, with a sigh I stared out of the window.

I can't run away but I have to know the answers. Maybe if I go back to the territory where the Alpha found me, I will get my answers. And for that I have to recover and heal. With a sigh, I closed my eyes.

  • Alpha Caspian    chapter 25

LilyThe next morning arrived with an uneasy stillness that I couldn't explain. I had barely slept after the memory of my father returned, and every time I closed my eyes, I could see him kneeling in front of me and fastening the silver charm around my neck. His frightened expression had stayed with me throughout the night, especially the way he had told me that someone would eventually come looking for me.I sat at the edge of the bed and stared at the charm resting against my palm. I wanted to understand what it was, why my father had protected it so carefully, and why Maya seemed to know more than she was willing to tell me. The unanswered questions were beginning to feel like a weight inside my chest, but I also knew that forcing myself to remember everything at once could do more harm than good.A soft knock came from the door, and before I could answer, Athea entered carrying a tray of food. She gave me a long look before placing it on the table.“You look terrible,” she said, p

  • Alpha Caspian    chapter 24

LilyThe journey back to Black Smoke felt different from the one that had brought us to the old Anderson property. I had spent most of the ride with my father's letter resting safely inside my bag, my fingers occasionally touching the fabric as if I needed to make sure it was still there. I had spent years believing that my parents had died without leaving anything behind for me, yet now I had their house, my father's handwriting, a photograph, and more questions than I could count. Every answer seemed to open another door, and behind every door waited something that made me question the life I thought I had lived.Caspian sat beside me, unusually quiet as he stared through the windshield. I could tell from the way his jaw tightened every few minutes that he was thinking about the man we had found near the house. He had died before telling us who had sent him, but his final words continued to echo in my mind. The girl was never supposed to survive. I didn't understand why anyone would

  • Alpha Caspian    chapter 23

CaspianThe northern forest has always been one of the quietest parts of my territory. Even the animals seemed to avoid certain sections of it, and the deeper we travelled, the more uncomfortable the atmosphere became. I sat in the back of the SUV with Lily beside me, while Damien drove and Liam followed in another vehicle with six warriors.I had barely spoken since we left the mansion. Not because I didn't have anything to say, but because my mind was working through every possibility. The old Anderson property had been abandoned for years, yet someone had recently left a photograph of Lily near my eastern border. That meant the person responsible either knew about the house or wanted us to believe they did.Neither possibility made me comfortable. Lily sat beside the window, her fingers moving repeatedly over the silver charm around her neck. She had been quiet too, but every few minutes I noticed her staring into the forest as though she was trying to recognize something hidden be

  • Alpha Caspian    chapter 22

LilyThe room became completely silent after David's words. I stared at him, trying to understand what he had just said, but my mind refused to accept it. My father had been investigating me? How could that even be possible when I was only a child? What could there possibly be about me that would make him spend his last days searching for answers?“What do you mean he was investigating me?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.David looked at me with something that resembled guilt, but he still didn't answer immediately. Caspian stepped closer to me, his hand finding mine as if he could sense that my legs were about to give up.“Answer her,” Caspian said, his voice low and threatening. David swallowed before looking between us.“Your father discovered something about you when you were very young,” David finally said.“He noticed that your body reacted differently to certain things. You healed faster than other children, and sometimes your wolf would react to things before anyone

  • Alpha Caspian    chapter 21

LilyI woke up to the warmth of something wrapped around my waist, and for a few seconds I remained still with my eyes closed, enjoying the unfamiliar comfort. The scent surrounding me was something I had started associating with safety, and the steady warmth against my back made me reluctant to move. Then I remembered where I was. My eyes opened slowly, and I looked down to see a strong arm wrapped around my waist.Caspian. My heart immediately started beating faster.I carefully turned my head and found him sleeping behind me. His face looked completely different when he was asleep. The usual coldness was gone, and the tension that always seemed to sit around his eyes had disappeared. His dark hair was slightly messy, and his breathing was slow and peaceful. I smiled without realizing it.I didn't know how I had ended up this close to him during the night, because I remembered there being a respectable distance between us when we had fallen asleep. Apparently, one of us had moved.A

  • Alpha Caspian    chapter 20

LilyThe ride back from the council estate was silent, but it wasn't an uncomfortable silence. I sat beside Caspian in the back seat, staring through the window as the lights of the city slowly disappeared behind us. My mind was still trying to process everything that had happened tonight. I had walked into the ball not knowing who I was, and I had walked out remembering almost everything I had spent days trying to recover.I remembered Blue Heaven. I remembered David and Sara taking me in after my parents died.I remembered growing up in a place that never truly felt like home. I remembered Veronica's cruelty.I remembered Ben and his family being some of the only people who treated me like I mattered. And I remembered Louise. The memories were painful, but they no longer felt like pieces of someone else's life. They were mine.I lowered my gaze towards my hands and noticed that they were trembling slightly. Caspian noticed immediately.“You're shaking,” he said, reaching for my hand

Caspian “ I don't care,” I growled, opening my eyes as I looked at all of the members sitting around the table.“ You have to. You are the Alpha king and you are almost 30 yet you haven't found your mate yet,” Edward said, looking towards me expecting an answer from me.“ What do you suggest we sh

Lily“ Where am I?” I asked myself with a groan, blinking my lashes rapidly. I wasn't in the hospital anymore. The sheet under me felt soft and silky and comfortable, making me not want to get up unless I took a deep breath. The moment the familiar scent hit my nostrils my whole body went stiff. A

Lily‘Oh goddess no please’I had lost count of how many times I had pleaded with the moon goddess in my mind to not let them strike me more.“ Argh,” I screamed yet again when Veronica's feet made contact with my stomach.“ You pathetic piece of sh*t,” she snarled at me as she continuously hit me
