Christian left me alone in the library to look through the book, he asked several times before leaving if I was going to be okay, I was lying through my teeth when I repeatedly told him I would be okay but kept a smile on my face and thankfully he didn’t see through it.

The sound of his voice appears in my head regularly yet I had no clue who was speaking or what they were saying, when I look at the man who was driving, his eyes were firmly fixed on the road ahead but his jaw was clenched giving him a strong defined jaw line.He glances at me and smiles, but the smile doesn’t reach his eyes, oh my goddess, I am being kidnapped.He reaches a hand out, but I pull away, squishing myself into the space between the seat and the door. After a couple of days, things started to make sense again. I understood now that Paige had poisoned me because I had challenged her over her feelings towards Daryl, it turned out the little dab of wolfsbane worked in keeping Daryl out of my head but not in helping me to heal, it was why the poison was having such a bad effect on me because I was unable to heal and it was clear Paige knew exactly what she was doing when she offered me that banana that was laced in poison.Christian and Daryl had taken it in turns to stay with me and Daryl had forgiven me for not having a clue who he was and for choosing Christian over him but only once he found out the severity of what the poison could do to me. I refused to answer any of his questions and when he told me I would be punished for refusing to obey, I just shrug my shoulders because I knew that my silence was getting under his skin.He marched me all the way to our bedroom and told me that if I wasn’t talking I could stay here until I was ready to talk.
