Chapter 6-The Next Morning-

The Alphas and Luna awoke the next morning, showered, dressed, ate breakfast, tended to the babies, then gathered back in the living room after the nannies reported to their morning shifts.

“When are Wepwawet and Anubis arriving?” Dante asked, as he looked around the room.

“They should be here any minute.” Alsie responded. “It feels weird having this meeting in this house. I didn’t want anything to taint our sanctuary. Life of leadership, I guess.”

Declan sighed, “Way to make me feel like shit.”

“It wasn’t directed at you, or for you. I was simply stating facts. Let’s be for real we all knew eventually this would happen. We can’t live in our bubble forever.”

Andrew walked into the living room with Anubis, Wepwawet, and Sylvia the pack seer.

“Hello, everyone. We summoned Sylvia to see if we could get a few answers. I hope you’re ok with that.” Anubis stated as he walked in and took a seat on one of the recliners.

“Fine by me.” Alsie said in agreement.

“Anything to help us get this mess under control.” Declan seconded.

“I’m fine with it.” Osiris and Reilly agreed.

“Good by me.” Evander, Andrew, and Kane said in unison.

“I don’t give a shit, I just want answers.” Dante gruffly said looking in Sylvia’s direction.

“Same.” Benji confirmed, standing behind Alsie, his hand on her shoulder.

Sylvia walked over and sat down on the floor in front of Alsie, then she motioned for Declan and Reilly to come over and have a seat. “A bond reading.” Sylvia said.

“A what now?” Declan asked his eyebrows raising almost to his forehead.

Alsie giggled, “Sylvia is going to ask us to each hold one of her hands and she is going to read our bond. According to the prophecies, I’m only supposed to have six mates. In this room I see eight. We’ve done this before, that is how we knew Dante was first a chosen mate, then when his mate passed on before him meeting her, Dante and I became fated mates. It’s why our bond is the strongest, it’s two bonds intertwined creating one.”

“You and Dante weren’t fated mates?” Reilly asks with curiosity.

“No. Over the years of Dante being my Guardian the Rana of past generations chose him, we don’t know which generation of Rana it was. Dante had a fated mate, but she perished before they ever met. The passing of Dante’s fated mate gave further weight to the theory that Guardians couldn’t have mates, unless they were mated to those they were guarding. Both Dante and I fought our lingering feelings, but when I turned 25 and the mating ceremony was preformed the fated mate bond showed itself.”  

“That’s crazy.” Reilly said in admiration as he sat down on the floor next to Alsie, Sylvia, and Declan. “I didn’t know any of that.”

“Welp, that what happens when you get out of a car and immediately mark someone before asking them their name.” Alsie smirked.

Sylvia held out her hands, Alsie placed her hand in one of them and Declan did the same. Sylvia closed her eyes and chanted her words under her breath. After a few seconds Sylvia’s eyes opened and she looked between Alsie and Declan. “The bond is true. Fated.”

Declan sighed a sigh of relief, a smile creeping across his face. “Your turn little brother.”

Sylvia released Alsie hand and shook her hands out. Sylvia then rubbed her palms together. When Sylvia was done, she held her hands out. Alsie took one of her hands and Reilly took the other. Again, Sylvia chanted something under her breath, and a few seconds later Sylvia opened her eyes. This time the look on Sylvia’s was different. “This is different, the bond is true, but it’s a secondary bond.” Sylvia squeezed Reilly’s hand a little tighter, “Ah, that’s genius. The bond is a true bond, it is a fated bond, but as I said it is a secondary bond, secondary to the Lycan King’s bond.”

“What does that mean?” Reilly asked, panic starting to creep in.

Sylvia let go of both Alsie and Reilly’s hands. “It means you are her mate, your bond is a true bond, it is fated, but it is secondary to the Lycan King’s bond. The Goddess has fated you two together, so our Queen doesn’t get mate sickness during long periods of time away from the King. The Goddess created two fated mates with similar DNA for our Queen foreseeing a future where the King and Queen may have to be apart for longer than normal bonds can survive. This also means that one of you, Declan or Reilly, must be by her side at all times.”

“You keep calling me Queen.”

“Yes, it has always been your destiny to unite and rule the World of Supernaturals, or as most call it the Underworld. The King will take back what they tried to take from him, blood will be spilled, the nine of you will survive and take your rightful place. From what I can see by holding your hand, your plan is a good one, however you will need an enchanted bracelet to block your bond. This bracelet will let you feel the ones who are away, but they will not be able to feel you. You will feel their hurt, despair, loneliness, longing for you and the others, it will be a burden to you. You will survive.”

With those words Sylvia got up and left. She just left, leaving us there to contemplate her words, or was it more of a warning?
