11-Rana and the new, new plan

I couldn’t help it, I gave way to Rana, feeling the overwhelming tiredness, exhaustion, and relief from my mates through the bond was too much for me to handle. I knew they were having issues with our original plan, and I had hoped that by changing the plan and scrapping the bracelet idea they would feel better. I wasn’t expecting what I felt.

Rana surged forward and I let her. Maybe she had something better, but I wasn’t ready for what she proposed, and by proposed, I mean our newest course correction.

I pushed off of Dante’s chest, eyes gleaming with gold silver, “No. We’re not doing it like this.”

“Hello Rana.” Kane said as he moved closer to Dante and me.

“Nope, not today, Kane. Sit down.” Kane did as I instructed.

“Hey, Rana. It’s a good plan, it makes sense, and it provides us with a few added layers of protection. Alsie did good.” Dante commented as he tried to grab me and pull me back into his lap.

“I know she did good. But it’s not enough.”

“What do you mean?” Dante asked as he continued to slowly wrap his arms back around me.

“Stop.” I said as I stood up and moved to a standing position, a few steps away from everyone in the room, looking at all of them.

“Weak. The plan is weak as fuck. I am not weak; we are not weak. Those disgraceful Elders are the weak ones. Tomorrow they will learn just how weak and powerless they truly are.”

Declan moved to my right, staying in front of me, keeping a shirt distance. “WOW!  You are amazing.”

I scoff, “You’ve seen me before.”

“No, I’ve seen you in wolf form before, but I’ve never seen you in this form before. Where is Alsie?”

“She’s here, just not in control.”

“Alsie, are you ok?”

I smirked “Why wouldn’t she be ok?” I moved aside and let Alsie through to calm Declan. Alsie’s voice laced with mine answered Declan’s question. “I’m fine Declan. Rana didn’t take too well to the feelings that flooded through the bond after we discussed the last plan. I’m still here, she didn’t push me back, I let her take the lead. I know how powerful she is. Rana and I work as one unit, most of the time. I like her plan better anyway, I was trying to go with a more diplomatic approach to her plan, by adding the triplets, and a Beta. However, her plan seems like more fun.”

“Fuck me! More fun!” Dante gasped, as he looked in Kane’s direction. Kane shrugged his shoulders and gave Dante one of those “I don’t know either” head shakes.

“Yup. They fucked around, now they’re gonna find out. Make sure everyone is ready, we leave after breakfast.”

“Umm, who is everyone?” Declan asked as he exchanged looks of worry with Reilly.

“Everyone is everyone.” I said, as I walked over to the closet pulled out a duffle bag, threw it on the bed and started packing it.

“So, nobody is going to say or do anything? Y’all are just going to let her pack a bag as if she is coming with us tomorrow? Have you all lost your damn minds?”

Andrew got up from where he was sitting, “Nope, I’m going to pack a bag.”

“Right behind you little brother.” I heard Evander say as he also started pulling clothes out of his drawers and tossing them onto the bed. “Dec, Reilly, you two may want to go through your bags and prepare a go-bag for the trip.”

“What are you talking about, Evander. Neither Declan nor I are going. I thought we just cleared all that up with the new plan.”

Dante chuckled from the other side of the bedroom, “You poor, clueless bastards.”

“Not going!” My voice boomed, my ancient Alpha aura pushing outward. “I didn’t stutter; we are all going. We are going to end this charade tomorrow. Those that decide to cooperate will live, those that don’t will die. Pack, NOW!”

I watched as Declan caught himself, his knees about to buckle under the weight and pressure of my power. Reilly immediately submitted, baring his neck.

“Don’t make me pull rank again. We’re mates I shouldn’t have too.” I said as I walked by the two of them.

“Rana?”

“Yes, Kane?”

“This could become ugly.”

“I know, Kane. I’m looking forward to it. They tried to kill our mate, their leader, their Alpha, their King. They will pay. No games, no gimmicks, no warnings, no second chances, no bracelets. They made all of you feel some type of way, they hurt you, they die.”

“Do you have a plan, Sweetness?”

“I guess you could call it a plan, Evander. It’s more like fuck around and find out. All nine of us, Paxton,  Beta Jason, and a small warrior army are walking right through the front gates. Dante and his men will do what they do when they go into hostile territory. The Elders will be rounded up, and beheaded in the middle courtyard, along with anyone who stood or acted with them. Declan, Reilly, and Dante will announce they have found their mate, no more hiding, no more planning, no more plotting. After that, the nine of us will do what the seven of us have been doing for the last year, figuring it out as we go. Any questions or concerns?”

“Nope.” Confirmed Osiris

“None.” Kane said with a smile and nod of his head.

“I’m good, Little Luna.”

“How long will be gone?”

“I’d say probably a week, Dante. Some of us will head back here once things stabilize at the Royal Palace. But if you want to stay longer, since technically that is your home, I understand.”

“No need. When I’m there it’s not for long periods of time, I don’t have a reason to stay. If I need to stay  to do my job and protect Declan I will.”

Benji walked back into the bedroom, “I’m packed and my bag is loaded into one of the SUV’s. I’m ready to go kill some shit, when you are.” He winked at me.

Declan walked over to me, “I don’t any issues with a shock and awe kind of approach. My question is what the hell are you?”

I made eye contact with Declan and searched his eyes for concern. There was none, there was nothing but pride. “I told you, you are not the strongest in the room anymore.”

“Fuck me. You’re amazing and I have a feeling we haven’t seen all of what you can do.”

“No, Declan, you haven’t. Dante and Kane have. Kane and I have been mates for many generations, and Dante is one of my Guardians. Your Elders betrayed you, that means they betrayed all of us. They will die tomorrow. You won’t be able to stop me.”

“I have no reason to keep a single Elder alive. I’ve wanted them to be gone, that is what prompted me to visit your pack. Finding you was an added bonus.”

I grabbed Declan’s hand and turned to everyone in the room, “Pack your bag, load it, and tomorrow we leave after breakfast.”

I walked out of the house holding Declan’s hand.

“Where are we going?” Declan asked me, confused.

“Back to the apartment above the Pack Center.” I smiled.
