"I have a deal for you." Athaliah said while sitting in front of Aaron with crossed legs.
Her tone, posture, attitude, everything was screaming professionalism. Aaron raised his eyebrows at her. His face turned stony too.
"Something never changes, huh?" He murmured to himself while looking intensely at her.
"True. At least I never changed like the other people did around me." Athaliah said.
Aaron was smart enough to catch the taunt behind her words. She was taunting him as if everything was his fault, when it wasn't his fault at all. It was all her. Still he was here, taking care of her, trying to hear himself out and accept her back in his life for his daughter even though she has a son. Also he was already pissed off at her for her words before entering the room.
The way she said their moments don't matter to her, made him sound desperate to have her back
Please leave me a review and give my book 'His Revenge' a chance too! Love you all!
FLASHBACK"What do you want from me now?" Athaliah asked with a snarl as soon as Aaron pushed her into an empty room and closed the door from inside.Aaron turned around and looked at her emotionlessly with his hands inside his pockets. Athaliah glared at him when he didn't answer her and advanced toward the door to leave the room. The moment she put her hand on the handle, Aaron caught the hand and in a swift move he pinned her on the door.Athaliah was shocked at his stunt. She looked at his eyes with widened eyes. He was also looking at her with an intense look. He noticed her heavy breaths and felt her increasing heartbeats. His closeness still affects her. He could say the same thing for him. His heart also started to beat erratically. Her surprised eyes, blowing hairs, and heat up cheeks were doing something weird in his body and mind. That was not how it was supposed to happen. He was not
"Rhea?" Aaron asked his daughter confusingly after coming into the living room of the outhouse. "Yes, Papa?" Rhea answered pretty seriously with concentration and a careful look on her pretty face. Aaron raised his eyebrows at her and looked around the room. "Why are you standing there like this? And where is your Mumma?" He asked after reaching her and kneeling down in front of her. "I am guarding this carefully as Momma asked me to. So that no one steals it." She said and handed an envelope to her father. Aaron looked at the envelope with a frown and took it in his hands. "What is it?" Aaron asked. "Mumma asked me to give it to you. She also gave me this. See." Rhea said excitedly and showed him a beautiful pendant that she was wearing currently. Aaron immediately recogn
"I want to see Athaliah." "Ma’am is busy in a meeting and do you have an appointment?" Her new receptionist who is a male stopped her and asked. All the other employees who knew who he was to the world and what was his connection with their boss, they got rooted to their places and didn't dare to intervene. He was already pissed and now he was pissed off to some other level. He couldn't decide what angered him the most now. The fact that this guy didn't know who he was to Athaliah or the fact that she hired a man as her receptionist? Why was she hiring guys as her employees?! First that manager and now this! After ordering Luke to meet him directly at Athaliah's office, he picked up the pen drive from the smashed laptop and took his car keys and left for his house where he stays with his family. He has some things to take from his safe in his room. After tak
Her life completely changed that day. And she's not happy with the change at all. So, she is going to punish each of them who was involved in this. 'So, Sean is actually not someone he presented himself to be. He was in disguise to do some investigation that Athaliah asked him to do.' Aaron thought and unknowingly it made him happy. "What's your deal? And what's the purpose of the deal?" Aaron asked from where he was sitting without commenting anything further on her words as everything was already crystal clear to him. "Let me tell you the purpose at first." Athaliah said and walked toward him. "A girl pretended to be me in the hospital. And by the way the plan was planted, I am sure she wasn't alone in this. And… their main motto was to separate us." She took a break. "And by the deal that I was talking about, it will be the complete opposite from their intentions. So, in desperation they will obviously mak
"Athaliah?!" "Huh?" Athaliah came back to present and looked at the person who brought her back to the world. "Aiden? You were saying something?" Athaliah asked when she saw her brother looking at her worriedly. "Uhh, yes.. He… Aaron… came. He is downstairs waiting for you." Aiden said with discomfort. "Oh, I am almost done with everything. Give me a moment." She said and started to zip the suitcase. "You want to say something, bro?" She asked when she saw him open and close her mouth like a fish. "I wanted to know if you are sure about your decision of going back to that house." Aiden said in a low voice. Athaliah smiled sadly at him. She took his hands and made him sit on the bed beside her. Yes, everyone from her family already knew about her decision of going back to Aaron. She doesn't know about
"How is it possible, Luke?!" Ariana exclaimed in confusion while slumping down on the couch. "I don't know! Even I am looking for the answer to this question!" Luke exclaimed back and slumped back on the couch beside her. Just two days ago they were planning to lure Athaliah into revenge by using the divorce papers. They planned to hand over Aaron's and Athaliah's divorce papers to Athaliah and suggest her to use it in her favour after entering the house to take revenge by staying under one roof with Aaron. Their intention wasn't wrong. They just wanted to somehow make Athaliah and Aaron stay under one roof. That's how they both will be able to talk and clear their misunderstandings. At least they thought that it would happen. "You know what? Actually your idea was pretty dumb." Ariana said with a roll of her eyes. "Well, thank you for making me realize though I realized it much before." Luke
"Good morning, Olivia." Athaliah wished Olivia Lockhart with a smile after coming downstairs.Olivia looked at her in disbelief. So, what he heard was true. Athaliah is back to Aaron's life in a few days of her return while she couldn't do anything in two and half years!Athaliah stood in front of Olivia. Adrian stood two steps away from Athaliah with his hands in his pockets. Diana was standing behind Olivia but she walked ahead and stood beside Athaliah now. Athaliah looked around the room. Aaron and Richard were not anywhere in sight and she didn't care about where Ariana was."What are you doing here?" Olivia snarled at her like a hungry wolf. Athaliah looked back at her with a mocking smile."Though I should be the one asking you this but I will show some manner and welcome you wholeheartedly to MY home. But could you please keep your voice down? Actually my children are sleeping and you could disturb t
"Here's the complete file of Robin Frank, ma'am." Sean said while passing Athaliah a file. "And here's the file that consists of all the outgoing and incoming call lists of Olivia, Aaron." Luke said while passing Aaron a similar file like Athaliah's. They were in the penthouse that belonged to Aaron. Only four of them were present in the room. Aaron asked the servants to leave for the day. They didn't want any interruption while they had this meeting. That's why they even left Rhea and Ryan under Adrian's care. Though the kids were very much excited to spend the day with their Adi uncle after Aaron and Athaliah promised to take them out tomorrow. They left the house immediately after breakfast. "Anything specific you found from the call lists?" Aaron asked. They were sitting on the couch in the living room. Athaliah and Aaron were on one sofa while Luke and Sean sat their opposite
