Chapter Sixteen

Xavier's POV

Upon cutting the line, I know something is off and Leah could be in danger! Luckily am only a few blocks away. We pack the car a few blocks away from my house to avoid getting noticed.

"Stay here, Someone will come and pick you up when it is safe" I instruct Mr.William.

I can't have another casualty to deal with in case things are serious. Better safe than sorry. So as not to cause alarm I decide to walk in through the secret passage using the back door and luckily it barely has a sound.

"Stay away from me!" Leah's voice echoes through the house.

I stop in my tracks and panic not knowing how dangerous the situation is. I stand by the corner to assess the situation. Seeing only an older woman and a young lady who looks like she is the same age as Leah.

Are these the people that made her lose her shit? What past does this woman have that haunts her every day of her life honestly?
