IRIS
Cold Liquid dropped on my face, first in sprinkles, and then floods of it came full all over my body, making me jerk awake. The water was so cold that I shivered as I regained consciousness.Due to the force of my jerk, pain coursed through my body in torrents, my eyes were blurred, and my lips patched.Slowly I opened my eyes, and the first thing I saw was a rat just at the edge of the room, running on a filthy wooden floor with so many dents that if it had lips, it would scream to be repaired. The sound of men laughing had me examining my surroundings. My head hurt, and my sight blurred again. Reaching up to massage my head, I realized my hands were tied to the arms of a chair.'What am I doing here?' I thought, trying to recollect my memories; the sight of the Gamma entering the compartment jolted my memory back on.I had been kidnapped. The Alpha wouldn't have sent for me if not; why am I not in the dungeon instead of this worn-out house that had me scared it might collapse on me any moment from now?
I struggled to escape the ropes, but they only dug into my skin like a razor. Goddess! It hurt so bad.My mind went back to the night before, and a slicing pain slashed through my head when I remembered the effect of the fist on my neck. I looked up at the cranky old ceiling, recalling why father never came down to save me even though I was that loud crying for help.I remembered his last words, ' I'm taking a little nap. Do not make a whole lot of noise. Was that coincidental? Or did dad know all along I was going to be kidnapped?Tears filled my eyes at the thought that my father could betray me badly. Father who swore he would push through worlds for me, father who promised to protect me. But then here I was."Witch," the Gamma spat, now standing before me, so I could see every reaction he passed on. Ximena had the worst luck mating this guy's son."Weird," I said, spitting out blood. There was an injury at the side of my mouth. I realized it came from the force of the blow on my neck, making me bite that area."You can't be that ugly calling somebody a witch, sir."The slap that followed it was blinding. I shook my head to see clearly, 'wow, this guy had some strength in his hands. He wrapped his fingers around my neck and angrily said, "you don't dare insult a Gamma little girl, no matter how brave you think you are" I smiled at his hands, enjoying the feel of him being pushed beyond control "I got a clown job for you Gamma.""Ok, now that does it" his scarred face turned ugly, and he tightened his fingers around my neck. I couldn't even struggle because I was bound. I jerked, pushing myself up and into the chair, hoping that might make him lose his grip on me, but by the goddess Artemis, this was strength."Aroid!" Luna's voice was heard behind us; Aroid turned to see her, he released me, and the chair landed on the dirty floor. Coughing intensely wasn't enough to stop me from perceiving the smell of piss. I almost threw up.*SLAP* Luna's hand met with Gamma's face.Callum, behind her, mumbled, "who doesn't love a fiery woman.""Her Son?" I called out from where I lay on the floor, chuckling. I should have known it was the Luna. Cold and manipulative. She had everyone wrapped around her fingers. I felt pity for the Alpha; it was sad to see the way he adored her.She looked at me, then at the Gamma, "pick her up."The Gamma obeyed without asking questions; he pushed up my chair, settling me up. "Thank you, Gamma," I smiled cheekily, showing off blood teeth. He gave me a killer look and moved aside for the Luna to come to me. She came close, lifted my chin, and smiled. "I could have taken anything, anything at all, but ruining Reid's life, you're going too far.""I did nothing to Reid; I am not a Witch."I felt the tears sting my eyes and swallowed the sob back in. I couldn't let them know my weakness. I couldn't let her know I wasn't immune to her words."Then explain Reid rejecting a mate because of you; Reid would never do that in his right senses" her eyes filled with hate as she came close. "I hated you the first day I saw you. I always knew you were up to no good."Feeling bold again, I retorted, "I could say the same about you. I doubt you kidnapped me because of Reid. You want to get rid of me so I don't tell the Alpha you're fucking Callum."She tugged at my cheek with her fingers. "You're so smart it's sad I have to kill you. But if you must know," she walked behind me, holding the chair, "Callum is not my biological son."It all fell into place now. So instead of Callum, Reid was going to be the next Alpha. Silver Mystic was very fortunate"...Talon found him, and since we still didn't have Cubs then, Callum gave me the thrill of a mother."I gave a crooked smile "another dummy you manipulate," I mocked, looking at Callum. In a flash, his hands whipped across my face in two successions. My head was fuzzy with the pain, and blood filled my mouth again. The Luna held his arm, and he shrugged her off like a petulant child that was denied candy. I almost scoffed at the sight. Annoyed, she looked at the Gamma and said the final words, "finish her off."Then she left with Callum, holding onto his arm.The Gamma looked at me, a smile tugging at the side of his mouth; he went away and came back with a knife that glinted under the dim light of the bulb.I trembled. 'This is how I am going to die I thought as a lot of feelings coursed through me. 'alone with no one to even care. Not even my father,' The Gamma, was beside me. "Prepare to die, Iris."Saying this, he raised the sword high ready to slice, when I shut my eyes, waiting for the feel of the blade on my skin, waiting for the pain. I prepared to feel my blood pouring out of my neck or the bounce of my head on the floor. But instead, I felt the rope snap loosely on my hands. I opened my eyes, surprised and shocked to see him cutting the cord on my legs. "What are you doing?" I whisperedHe put his finger on his lips, motioning for me to stay quiet, his dark eyes calculative. When he was done, he helped me stand, climbed on a stool, and opened a window. The fresh air that hit me was a relief to my nose.He motioned for me to come, and when I arrived, he whispered to me, "here, run away as far as you can. Escape to another pack, become a rogue or anything but never return."I was stunned "why are you doing this?"He sighed "your father. He begged me to do this, now, don't waste my time with that mouth that cut sharper than a blade."All the strangulation was just for the sake of Luna? Dad knew all this would happen, and he had my back as usual, just like he promised. Stupid of me to think that dad would let me die without doing anything. I felt ashamedI hurriedly climbed the window, about to jump to the ground outside; I remembered something and turned to him. "Uhm, Gamma, so that you know, I didn't mean what I said about the clown job.""Just get out of here, Iris!"My legs hit the ground with a thud, running past the thorns and shrubs as fast as my legs could.I ran through the woods and further down away from my pack. The only pack I had known and grown to love, even with the abuses and frequent degradation, Silver Mystic was still my home. Each time I wanted to stop, I heard Gamma Aroid's voice in my head; his warnings kept on ringing '...But never come back."But then I stopped, looking back.Where was I going without my father? How was I going to live without him? I wasn't strong enough, no matter how much training I thought I had. Making a decision, I walked towards Silver mystic. All I had to do was go through the Alpha and beg him for my life.Hearing voices coming towards me, I hid behind a tree; looking out from it, I saw them. Two guards. Fully armed, matching up towards the Packhouse."...How stupid are you, Zack?" One asked the other, his tone blunt, "it's obvious the Alpha got rid of her secretly. Alpha Talon would do anything for the Pack."Zack laughed. "I can't believe you believe in a curse about a wolfless girl ruining Si
**THREE YEARS LATER**IRISI first felt the hands on my breast as I danced. In the dim, it went lower down to my abdomen. The rage flowed to my cheeks, but I said nothing, just twirled away so his rough hands won't reach me anymore. The room was dim red, containing just a large bed and a pole in the middle. This space was for men who wanted a private dancer and could afford it. The bedsheets and curtains proved it. Silky materials. Red and sinful. The shiny bra, made with beads, shook as my body twirled to the sound of slow music. An Art I learned for a year after coming into Blood Canine.I was a slave here. Found by the owner of a strip club, who also recruited girls to service members. Or pole dance in the pub. But those who had money received VIP treatment like this.Blood Canine was the direct opposite of Silver Mystic. The Pack had a mad system—survival of the fittest. You either survived here or died. It was up to you sometimes. And most times. It was not.Like now, almost nake
AIDAN"I warned you it would be a bad idea, right?" Atlas paced up and down the room, losing the control he never kept in check.I groaned. This felt like the thousandth time we had had this conversation in a week, and Tristan always brought it up whenever a new development concerning the Silver mystic pack came up.Mystic Pack. The name left a bitter taste in my mouth. Three years ago, they asked for help to stop an invasion, and we agreed on one condition. We got the silver lake, but it no longer looked so easy."Alpha Reid stands on the same ground with his father," Tristan continued, his sandy-colored hair glistening as he stared down at the envelope in red stamp sent by silver mystic again. 'ungrateful werewolves, ' I thought to myself."If only you both had listened to me; Silver Mystic isn't worth helping, moaned that repeatedly, but no one listened." I shifted uncomfortably in my seat, rubbing my eyes"Atlas, there's no point blaming anybody. Nobody knew they could eat back t
The reminder went off, but I was already awake, staring into space as other girls I shared the bunk room with hurried with their preparations to take on the pole.Every day, every evening for the girls was like this, the rowdiness and bustle as we collided against each other looking for one thing or the other, clothes and make-up were thrown across. So were contraceptives and numbing pillsThe numbing pills were supplied to every girl generously. Because sometimes, you might get clients wanting to have you at once. Share you at once. That was scary; it was each one of us heartaches. Dozens of knots waiting to get into you. I looked at the clock, 6:40. I only had twenty minutes to dress up and find myself in Master Derrick's Bentley. But here I was, gazing at literally nothing.A light hand touched my shoulder, "not daydreaming again, are we?"Her red hair was the first thing I noticed before I smiled. "Maia, stop interrupting. I was almost leaving this hell hole in my thoughts."She l
AIDANI glared at her back as she disappeared into the curtains, the scent fading away as soon as she left my sight. Confusion flowed through me as the thought of what just happened nagged in my head. Who the heck was she? A wolf of the high ranking? What ranking exactly? When I was a Pack Alpha.I looked into the club and saw its disruption like a tsunami swept through it. People were entangled in themselves. What exactly had caused this so much disruption in a matter of seconds?I looked back at the Casino room into the gold-colored curtain where she had disappeared from my fist clenching and unclenching. All I needed was another minute to show her who the boss was. Whatever she thought she was...I shook my head and trailed down the stairs toward the entrance. A path was cleared for me as swiftly as possible. The dancing stopped. In this place I controlled, I was feared. Was she lucky I was knocked out speechless, or else she would be writhing on the ground by this time? Finally,
IRISALPHA AIDAN! He is Alpha Aidan?! He couldn't be fucking serious. I shuddered as he pronounced my name while glaring at me. He couldn't be fucking serious about betting on me, and there was no way Derrick would let him bet on me no matter who he was.How did I get myself into this mess, running into an Alpha? How the heck did I know I was going to run into an Alpha in a small club?Maybe in this club Derrick had me come to, which was bigger and better, but not in that one. And why was this Alpha so young and drop-dead gorgeous? And evil.Maia was right on everything except the kindness part.I swallowed while having Faith in Master Derrick."She's not for sale, Alpha Aidan, she...""Before you say anything else," he was talking to Master Derrick, but his eyes were on me, "I'm ready to stake a high amount on her."One of his Buffy-looking men dropped a briefcase on the table; opening it, he pushed it toward Master DerrickThe way Master Derrick looked at me and the money, I knew I
AidanHer unconscious body lay on my arms, her hair touching the ground. I groaned as I glared at her face. This girl was a whirlwind of trouble, and I could feel it in my bones. I wondered if there was anything else that pretty mouth could do except curse.Picking her light body from the floor, I exited the club. My men were outside waiting for me. I pushed her limp body into the car and sat beside her supporting her upper body. And as the car moved, I stared into her face, tracing every inch with my eyes. She was a beauty looking so innocent with her mouth shut. I thought I saw her brows flicker, and she moaned in her sleep, her countenance changing with the pain. Hands went to her head as her eyes fluttered open."Stay still," I ordered. Knowing better now, she did as she was told. But something told me it wasn't going to last. She muttered something inaudible, then closed her eyes again. Finally, we were at the pack house; coming out of the car, I looked up to see Tristan at his ro
IRISI lay on the big white bed, tears pouring from my eyes as I pressed my knuckles into my neck; I felt the tingly pain between my legs and pushed my laps together as the memories of his fingers deep into my secret spot resurfaced.I sniffled. I was so in trouble with this Alpha Aidan that something told me I'd never survive his treatment, and it scared me. Throughout my life, staying alive has been my main goal. But now I didn't have the power to keep the plan anymore.Wait till Maia hears that her crush isn't what she makes him out to be. Wait till she hears he was a devil. But then, if I were stuck here, she would never know. And there was my scent; what would I do if the decenter wears off? Especially in a room of a sex-crazed lunatic who swore to fuck me till I passed out. This wasn't good. My lids flared open. I had to do somethingI sat up, looking around the room. Honestly, I had never seen a room as beautiful as this, with glass sliding windows, a marbled floor with a furry
