12. Guilt

My eyes widened and a small smile made its way up my lips. I snapped my head towards my parents and Nick and yes, they shared the same expression on their faces.

Some time ago when I last checked the calendar, I think I’d figured what the special surprise for which we came here was: mom and dad’s anniversary celebration! I knew it! I so knew it! I was just hesitating whether to talk about it or not cause if Uncle and Aunt happened to not about it, they’d have felt embarrassed. So, Nick and I’d been planning a secret small celebration tonight. But oh lord, we never thought we’d be stunned instead.

I smiled, it all made me feel so giddy. I loved them. I love them all so much.
