Edith stood outside Aurora's room. The young lady was standing before her canvas in a melancholic aura, gently stroking paint across the white surface. She didn't know about art, but one thing she observed from her masterpiece—Aurora was pouring all her pain into that painting. Edith couldn't help but feel a faint jolt in her heart.

‎Poor Aurora. She just wished that this young woman would be set free by Grayson. She's innocent to whatever her real father did to the Moore family. She shouldn't be dragged into this cruel situation. Aurora didn’t deserve it.

‎Edith let out a quiet sigh before she opened her mouth. "Aurora, would you like to come down for breakfast? They're waiting for you," she said in a slightly gentle tone.

‎Aurora turned to her and smiled faintly, but it didn’t reach her eyes—unlike before. Her eyes had lost their spark.

‎"I will come down when I'm hungry. Let them have their meal first," she responded softly.

His storming thoughts were interrupted by the sharp ringing of his phone. With an irritated huff, he snatched it from his desk without glancing at the screen. It was a call from Dylan.“What?” His voice was clipped and cold, carrying the weight of his unresolved fury.“Why do you sound so pissed this late at night? Isn’t Natalie in Sunnydale? I thought you two were enjoying your little romantic getaway,” Dylan teased with a chuckle. Grayson could already picture the damn smirk on his face.He still has the audacity to joke around? It only made his irritation flare hotter.“Cut the crap. If you’re not bringing me something useful, I’m hanging up,” Grayson warned, his tone sharp and merciless.“Alright, alright. No need to bite my head off,” Dylan replied, still chuckling. “Back to business. I received invitations from Titanium Crest Corporation. Victor Hensley is hosting his annual banquet tomorrow night. You and Natalie are both on the guest list.”Grayson’s gaze darkened slightly. V

Aurora lingered in the kitchen for quite a while, trying to ease the heaviness pressing on her chest. When she finally calmed herself, she took a deep breath and steadied her shaky breaths. Then, slowly, she stepped out of the kitchen. The large living room was dimly lit, bathed only in the warm orange glow of the wall lamps. As she was about to climb the stairs, a large hand suddenly grasped her wrist. The shock jolted her—fear spiked through her chest—but the familiar scent that followed calmed her nerves. She didn’t turn to look. She already knew who it was.Grayson said nothing as he led her to a quiet corner, his grip firm, unyielding. She followed him silently, not resisting. Only when they stopped did he release her. The silence between them was thick, almost suffocating. His eyes bore into her—sharp, burning."Why didn’t you come down for dinner?" he asked, voice low and tight, as if he were holding something back—anger, maybe... or something more.Aurora lowered her head, una

Aurora sat quietly beside the tall window, gazing at the bright moonlight in the dark sky. Silent tears slipped down her cheeks as she questioned herself—why did she always have to suffer? She was tired. Too tired to keep searching for a sliver of hope. She was like the night sky—consumed by endless darkness. And just when she thought she had found a flicker of light, she was dragged back into the shadows all over again.Yes, she was a fool. Naive and stupid to ever hope for something with Grayson, when he had already made it painfully clear what she was to him. Yet, she still hoped. And now, she was hurting—deeply. It was her fault, entirely. Because she had let it happen. She let him into her life, let him become someone she depended on. She shouldn’t have. She should have killed those forbidden feelings from the start. But in the end, she didn’t.Warm tears streamed down her face continuously. She didn’t hate Grayson. She hated herself.Maybe… maybe this was her fate.Cruel. Destru

Moments after arriving at the estate, Natalie stood by the full-length mirror, slowly removing her earrings—her fingers steady despite the storm quietly brewing behind her perfectly curated calm. Her keen eyes surveyed the room. She had already settled into the space Grayson had chosen for her—spacious, elegant, and decorated in cool, impersonal tones that made it impossible to tell if anyone had ever truly lived there.Grayson was just about to leave the room when she spoke—deliberately casual, as though the thought had only just occurred to her.“She’s very beautiful… that girl.”Grayson didn’t turn around immediately, but his expression stiffened. For a moment, there was nothing heard in the room, only pin-drop silence. Then, with his hand on the door, he finally responded.“What’s that supposed to mean?” His deep voice resonated in the bedroom.Natalie didn’t retort right away. Instead, she walked up to him and took his hand, grinning playfully.“You don’t need to get angry… I was

With one final breath, Grayson stood from his chair to greet his fiancée, his expression firm and impassive, devoid of the slightest warmth or emotion.Natalie crossed the room with curated grace and wrapped her arms around him without waiting for permission. Her body pressed into his, warm and gentle. But Grayson didn’t move. His hands remained at his sides.“I’ve missed you so much,” Natalie said softly.“I was busy,” he replied flatly, his voice emotionless. “My apologies.”Natalie slowly pulled back, though her arms lingered around his waist.“I understand,” she murmured, lifting her eyes to meet his. “But... you could’ve told me. Do you know how worried I was when I couldn’t reach you? I went to the villa, to the old house—”“You shouldn’t have,” he cut her off briefly, stepping back from her hold. For a fraction of a second, Natalie’s smile faltered, but she quickly masked it with a soft pout.“I just needed to see you,” she whispered. “It’s your birthday.
