Vix Ryker

An Alpha is this...but never this. An Alpha never shows weakness, an Alpha must strive for the best and the strongest. Even if that Alpha is broken and it feels as though he may never be put back together.

Alpha's tend to sacrifice for their pack, do what's best for the wolves around them. Fight any dangers and protect fiercely. But Vix Ryker had failed four years prior...and he had failed in the worst way. He had just found his mate, he had been so excited and they were heading back to his pack territory.

He was trained from a young age to never show weakness to other, to not give in no matter what. His father passed on the torch earlier than most Alpha's he was proud of his son and knew that his son would make a great Alpha an even better one than he had been. This also gave him the time he wanted with his Luna who had been sick the last few years before he decided to make Vix Alpha.

Vix had a rather large Territory, actually he had taken over a couple of packs the first few years he was an Alpha, it was impressive because he was only twenty when he took over the pack from his father. One of them he had taken by force when the Alpha thought it'd be easy to take over the Nightlock Pack once it was being ran by such a young Alpha. The other packs he gained for his Territory were actually signed over to him by some older Alpha's who didn't have heirs or their sons had died already.

He had started getting disheartened about not finding his mate. At the time he was twenty-five and most found their Mates around eighteen or nineteen. However, he had finally found her. She was the daughter of a Beta at a pack he was at to sign a Treaty. He was thrilled to finally have someone to take home to his pack and present as his Luna.

But on the way home their vehicles were attacked by Rouges who had a grudge against the pack they had just left. They recognized the scent of the Beta daughter and attacked. Before Vix had made it out of the vehicle he was in she was already on the ground the life ripped from her body. He hadn't even had the chance to mark his beautiful Mate and now he was holding her lifeless in his arms.

He couldn't remember what happened then, but when he came to his Beta Elliot told him that he had wiped out all the rogues that were there on his own. He was in such a blind rage they actually had to sedate him because he was going wild from the loss of his mate.

Vix had felt so broken for so long he was empty, an Alpha Shell...roboticly taking care of its pack. He was heading home from a meeting with one of his wolves who ran a business for the pack in the human eyes. It was really late, or maybe early depending on how you looked at it.

The stop light he was at was in a weird position and the bend in the road made it hard to see the traffic coming from the other side, so when another vehicle came barreling towards him out of control even his wolf instincts weren't fast enough to help him get out of the way.

The screeching of metal on metal was more painful than the impact as his body was flung ti the side and pressed hard on the safety belt he wore. The impact caused the air bags to burst through and the dust from them made his nose twitch.

Once the two vehicles stopped rolling they were more or less on their sides. With a growl Vix started moving to climb from the broken driver's window. He ripped the safety belt that was holding him in and started to pull himself out. He heard the sound of a building door bursting open and the feet of a human running towards the wreck. "Shit..humans" he muttered to himself as he jumped down and ran off circling around to get eyes on the human who had come.

It was a woman, she was definitely not dressed to be outside in the chilly weather. It looked like she was wearing work out clothes that clung to her body. She was really pale so the strange dark smears on her face, hands, and arms stood out in the faint light of the street lamps and the moon. She was kind of tall for a human woman, her hair was dark like a raven and trailed down her back messy and unbrushed.

She seemed to be arguing with her phone while making glances at the wreckage. Vix tilted his head and then realization, she was going to call the human authority for help. "Damn..." He sighed and moved swiftly stopping in front of her and snatching her phone from her hands.

The woman's head snapped up so fast Vix wondered if it hurt. She looked at him for a moment her lips parted softly as her eyes roamed his frame and her brows drew together in confusion. "Hey..." her voice was soft and velvety and as he held the phone a scent of honeysuckle and pune swirled up to Vix's nose. He knew she wasn't actually saying hello but "Hey." Was the only reply that fell from his lips as her scent attacked his senses and he struggled to keep himself from grabbing her and shoving his face in her neck to smell more.

Vix shifted on his feet his wolf was pacing in his mind space scratching and whinpering begging for contact and over and over in his head his wolf whimpered

'MATE...Second chance....give her to us..our Mate.'

At some point Vix also fell asleep awkwardly on the couch while holding Shina. Which meant when the early morning sun started to shine through the large sitting room windows and Shina began to stir she woke to large arms wrapped around her and her head nestled up under Vix's chen her face pressed against the crook of his neck. Her face flushed and she jerked up to a sitting position, thought that might not have been her best idea because that had her stradling his lap awkwardly. "Um..." She mumbled but she was tangled into the blanket and trying to get up and it just made her press down harder on his lap and Vix woke with a groan. "Shiiina" His voice trailed out in a husky tone vibrating through his chest where Shina was resting her hands. Vix blinked a few times and looked up in surprise, "Morning" He said his eyes widening a bit as he felt Shina shift on his lap again and he had to bite his tongue to hold in the groan of pleasure as she rubbed along the length of him. She shifted a

Vix stood up and walked beside Shina towards the door. She stopped short a few steps and watched as he went to open it. Standing outside were two men just a bit smaller than Vix was. One was kind of pale but still darker than Shina was and the other one had sun kissed skin like Vix. The pale one stepped up he had blue eyes and dark hair. His eyes seemed to kind of shimmer and he stepped right up to Shina and reached his hand out. Shina reacted immediately and took his hand but he used it to pull her into a hug. "It's so amazing to finally meet you." He said and when he pulled back from the hug his eyes seemed to shimmer with unshed tears. "I'm Felix, your Gamma." He said softly before stepping away and standing off to the side of Shina but still close enough to touch her. She tilted her head thoughtfully at him. His hug had felt so warm, so right. Like it was a safe haven. The thought was pushed aside as the other man stepped up and fisted his hand over his chest and bowed at Shina.

Vix was still a bit weary but he reached out and grasped Rian by the hand. He was careful not to grasp too hard knowing how much stronger he was from humans. Rian looked at Shina and then back at Vix before letting his hand fall to his side. "Would you like to join us for lunch Vix? I brough a bunch of foods and drinks because Shina hasn't eaten much lately." Vix looked at Shina with an accusing look "We will definately have to change that moving forward." Shina looked a bit ashamed and nodded "Understood...but um. I wasn't done asking questions. Can...can Rian hear everything too?" Rian looked back and forth between them a quizical expression on his face and Vix glanced at him. "That's find if you trust this human." Shina nodded "He is like a brother to me at this point. I don't have any family so he is the closest thing." Rian looked at Shina in surprise but smiled softly "Yes I claim her as family too, but why so secretive...are you not actually her boyfriend?" Rian asked as he st

Shina sat down at the table in the small kitchen area on the first floor of the studio. She gestured for Vix to sit in the chair opposite her. After a moment of watching her he moved and sat down, his gaze seemed to drink all of her in. Shina took in a slow breath and then let it out even slower. It was a little nerve racking to be looked at like that. She wasn't sure if he wanted to memorize her every feature or eat her. Maybe both now that she thought about it.Vix cleared his throat and sat back in the chair making himself as comfortable as possible. "So." He said leaving the air open for her to speak. Shina nodded thoughtfully. "So...last night. I think I was a bit rude. You said...ummm well you said mate right?" the word mate came out a bit more hushed than the rest of the sentance. Shina blushed a bit and ran a hand through her long raven black hair. Vix nodded "Yes that's right. I sensed you were my mate, but you thought I was a crazy person right?" The light blush on her cheek

The sound of voices and people stomping up her stairs woke Shina from her sleep. She grumbled as she was hoping to sleep for atleast a full day before waking up. She tossed on some workout pants, the stretchy kind and a sports bra. Then slipped on a hooded jacket before stepping out of her little bedroom. "Rian do the movers have to be this loud every time they come to my studio?" She asked in an irritated voice as her agent Rian walked towards her after finishing up giving directions to the movers who were slowly walking her large painting down the stairs. "Sorry your majesty we didn't mean to ruin your beauty sleep." Rian said a small tilt to his lips and laughter in his words. He had been her agent from the beginning and their relationship was pretty friendly. He was also very gay and that put Shina at ease with how much time they spent around eachother. He would even find her half dead and in nothing but underclothes sometimes and have to call the ambulance because she overworked

Vix watched her go as she pulled away and rushed off, he didn't want to scare her. Part of him was afraid too of course. He had lost his first mate, she was a strong beta female with a warriors heart. This mate was just a fragile human who could be broken so easily. He looked down at his hand that was still tingling with energy where he had touched her cheek. He almost thought she was going to accept him right then and there. But after the words he had used she seemed shocked and rushed away. Maybe he had scared her, humans don't use terms like that do they.He ran studied his hand some of the markings that had been on her cheek had rubbed off on his hand and he sniffed at the silky blackness. "Charcoal..." He mumbled and then dusted his hand off on his jeans. He pulled his phone from his pocket and called Beta Elliot. "Need a road clean up crew, I was in a crash." He stated plainly and his Beta sighed "Got it Alpha, I knew I should have gone with you." Vix ran a hand through his hair
