Vix watched her go as she pulled away and rushed off, he didn't want to scare her. Part of him was afraid too of course. He had lost his first mate, she was a strong beta female with a warriors heart. This mate was just a fragile human who could be broken so easily. He looked down at his hand that was still tingling with energy where he had touched her cheek. He almost thought she was going to accept him right then and there. But after the words he had used she seemed shocked and rushed away. Maybe he had scared her, humans don't use terms like that do they.

He ran studied his hand some of the markings that had been on her cheek had rubbed off on his hand and he sniffed at the silky blackness. "Charcoal..." He mumbled and then dusted his hand off on his jeans. He pulled his phone from his pocket and called Beta Elliot. "Need a road clean up crew, I was in a crash." He stated plainly and his Beta sighed "Got it Alpha, I knew I should have gone with you." Vix ran a hand through his hair and some of it came loose from the tie at the nape of his neck. "No you didn't need to come it was a simple meeting. Just ran into some bad luck. Hit and run the other driver didn't stick around but they were for sure human." Vix said as he studied the studio door that had closed moments ago.

Vix wondered closer to the door and tilted his head listening. He heard her push off the door and take several steps. He could hear her slip her clothing from her body and turn on a shower. The water rushing out for a few moments just long enough for her to clean her body. Then he heard her move around for a bit longer before opening a different door and the sound of her plopping onto a bed made a small growl slip out of his chest. He heard her start to speak and she mumbled about him being crazy or hurt and he sighed.

Elliot cleared his throat on the other line "Alpha? You okay?" He asked in between giving out orders for the road cleanup that would soon be underway. Vix thought about telling Elliot but decided it'd be best to wait till he was here in person. "I'm fine, Elliot why don't you come out here with Gamma Felix and the cleanup crew." Elliot was silent for a moment "Sure Alpha just text me the address and we will be there within the hour." Vix nodded as if Elliot could see him and then hung up the phone. The cell phone was handy for when Vix was out of reach of a mind link and it was useful for sharing information in a physical way instead of just in eachothers heads.

True to his word the Beta rolled up with two other vehicles in tow and a tow truck as well. Beta Elliot walked up to Vix the Gamma walking along behind him slowly. Vix didn't normally call for the Gamma, at least not very often. The Gamma's job was to protect and take care of the Luna and since the incident Felix had basically been on standby with a chance that he'd never get to fulfill his duty.

As they got closer Vix stepped towards them and Felix's head snapped up and he stared at Vix his nostrils flaring as he smelled the air. He got closer to Vix and sniffed the air around his Alpha. "Whaat? Is...is that. Luna...?" Felix said his breath catching slightly has he spoke. "My Luna?" He asked again his voice in awe as he sniffed the air again. A Gamma had a special relationship with his Luna and there was even a special ceremony for them. They could scent eachother too in a way but it wasn't the same as a mate, but they were really close once they found eachother like brother and sister. A muscle ticked in Vix's jaw as he glanced back at the door to what the woman had called her studio.

After a moment of looking he glanced back at Felix "I found my Mate tonight." He said looking at his Gamma and his Beta who seemed even more excited than he was. "A second chance mate?" Elliot asked in surprise as he glanced at the building Vix had been looking at. "That's amazing Alpha, but..you seem hesitant." Elliot said a bit confused why Vix would be hesitating like that. Felix growled and elbowed Elliot "I'm sure he is just surprised" Felix snapped and looked longingly at the door.

Vix siged and ran a hand across his face. "I'm a little worried...she is. She's..." Vix trailed off and both the Beta and the Gamma cocked their heads and then looked at eachother "She's what Alpha?" the Gamma asked hesitantly. Vix sighed "She is human."

Felix glanced at the building again longingly and then at the Alpha who seemed stuck in sorrow and frustration. Felix knew how hard the loss of his first mate was on Vix but this was a second chance. They had to get her as soon as possible and bring her home. Humans were taught about them, wolves even shared their biological information and traditions with the humans. For the very reason that sometimes wolves had human mates. She would understand, she had to understand.

Felix looked at Alpha Vix sternly "When will we take her home?" Vix looked at Felix and rubbed the back of his neck thoughtfully. "I think I should try to meet her again tomorrow and talk to her." Felix nodded and opened his mouth to ask if he could go but thought better of it. "Yes Alpha, that sounds like a good plan."

They had been talking for some time now and the crash had been cleared away. The three wolves climbed into Elliots car and headed away from the studio that held the future of their pack. Vix felt an emptiness sharp and painful as they drove away. He didn't want to leave her.

At some point Vix also fell asleep awkwardly on the couch while holding Shina. Which meant when the early morning sun started to shine through the large sitting room windows and Shina began to stir she woke to large arms wrapped around her and her head nestled up under Vix's chen her face pressed against the crook of his neck. Her face flushed and she jerked up to a sitting position, thought that might not have been her best idea because that had her stradling his lap awkwardly. "Um..." She mumbled but she was tangled into the blanket and trying to get up and it just made her press down harder on his lap and Vix woke with a groan. "Shiiina" His voice trailed out in a husky tone vibrating through his chest where Shina was resting her hands. Vix blinked a few times and looked up in surprise, "Morning" He said his eyes widening a bit as he felt Shina shift on his lap again and he had to bite his tongue to hold in the groan of pleasure as she rubbed along the length of him. She shifted a

Vix stood up and walked beside Shina towards the door. She stopped short a few steps and watched as he went to open it. Standing outside were two men just a bit smaller than Vix was. One was kind of pale but still darker than Shina was and the other one had sun kissed skin like Vix. The pale one stepped up he had blue eyes and dark hair. His eyes seemed to kind of shimmer and he stepped right up to Shina and reached his hand out. Shina reacted immediately and took his hand but he used it to pull her into a hug. "It's so amazing to finally meet you." He said and when he pulled back from the hug his eyes seemed to shimmer with unshed tears. "I'm Felix, your Gamma." He said softly before stepping away and standing off to the side of Shina but still close enough to touch her. She tilted her head thoughtfully at him. His hug had felt so warm, so right. Like it was a safe haven. The thought was pushed aside as the other man stepped up and fisted his hand over his chest and bowed at Shina.

Vix was still a bit weary but he reached out and grasped Rian by the hand. He was careful not to grasp too hard knowing how much stronger he was from humans. Rian looked at Shina and then back at Vix before letting his hand fall to his side. "Would you like to join us for lunch Vix? I brough a bunch of foods and drinks because Shina hasn't eaten much lately." Vix looked at Shina with an accusing look "We will definately have to change that moving forward." Shina looked a bit ashamed and nodded "Understood...but um. I wasn't done asking questions. Can...can Rian hear everything too?" Rian looked back and forth between them a quizical expression on his face and Vix glanced at him. "That's find if you trust this human." Shina nodded "He is like a brother to me at this point. I don't have any family so he is the closest thing." Rian looked at Shina in surprise but smiled softly "Yes I claim her as family too, but why so secretive...are you not actually her boyfriend?" Rian asked as he st

Shina sat down at the table in the small kitchen area on the first floor of the studio. She gestured for Vix to sit in the chair opposite her. After a moment of watching her he moved and sat down, his gaze seemed to drink all of her in. Shina took in a slow breath and then let it out even slower. It was a little nerve racking to be looked at like that. She wasn't sure if he wanted to memorize her every feature or eat her. Maybe both now that she thought about it.Vix cleared his throat and sat back in the chair making himself as comfortable as possible. "So." He said leaving the air open for her to speak. Shina nodded thoughtfully. "So...last night. I think I was a bit rude. You said...ummm well you said mate right?" the word mate came out a bit more hushed than the rest of the sentance. Shina blushed a bit and ran a hand through her long raven black hair. Vix nodded "Yes that's right. I sensed you were my mate, but you thought I was a crazy person right?" The light blush on her cheek

The sound of voices and people stomping up her stairs woke Shina from her sleep. She grumbled as she was hoping to sleep for atleast a full day before waking up. She tossed on some workout pants, the stretchy kind and a sports bra. Then slipped on a hooded jacket before stepping out of her little bedroom. "Rian do the movers have to be this loud every time they come to my studio?" She asked in an irritated voice as her agent Rian walked towards her after finishing up giving directions to the movers who were slowly walking her large painting down the stairs. "Sorry your majesty we didn't mean to ruin your beauty sleep." Rian said a small tilt to his lips and laughter in his words. He had been her agent from the beginning and their relationship was pretty friendly. He was also very gay and that put Shina at ease with how much time they spent around eachother. He would even find her half dead and in nothing but underclothes sometimes and have to call the ambulance because she overworked
