The forest

“Stay away from me,” The blonde witch said rudely, walking towards the opposite direction of where the entrance of the coven was.

His eyes widened at that.

“Where are you going?” Cameron asked, dumbfounded as he stood there looking at her walking away from him.

“It's none of your business,” She replied cryptically, walking with her short legs in a fast pace.

He gritted his teeth at that.

This was it.

He isn't going to let her go again.

“Oh, you're not going anywhere,” He said speeding towards her, stopping in front of her tracks and blocking her way.

Her already big blue orbs widened from his sudden action.

It was adorable.

But Cameron knew that he had to resist her charm if he wanted to obey his father.

“Get out of my way.” She hissed.

“No,” he said, grabbing her by the arm the second time tonight. “You're coming inside with me right this second.” He added, making her glare at him.

“Let go of me,” She demanded, writhing from his grasp.

“No.” He insisted.

“Let go of me,” She demanded again.

“No,” He insisted again.

“Let go of me!” She said now yelling.

“I said no!” He also yelled, losing his cool.

And just like that, the next thing that Cameron knew is he was already lying on the cold hard ground, and she was running towards the parking garage with his car keys in her hand.

He didn't know how she got it, but she sure is sneaky for even having her hands on it in the first place.

It was obvious that she was going somewhere, and she was taking his car with her.

He scowled at that.

He knew that his father isn't going to be pleased when he found out that he let a teenager had her way into one of the vehicles, and he's certain that he doesn't want that one bit.

Using his warewolf abilities, he ran after her and tackled her down the ground.

“Give me back my keys, you little brat!” He yelled as he hovered her reaching for his keys.

“No!” She refused, struggling to move under his grasp.

He was a male warewolf who was more than a thousand years old, and he was much stronger than she is.

Years of training and fighting had made his body resistant to weakness.

Although, the blonde witch made it clear that it is not going to stop her from stealing his car and speeding towards the closest road.

Cameron also wanted to get what is rightfully his, but he doesn't want to hurt her too in the process.

He tried to reach for his keys without injuring the girl, but as time goes by, he started to lose his patience.

Finally, having enough, he used all of his strength and pinned her on the ground with both of her arms above her head.

But instead of getting his keys and dragging her inside, he just stayed there hovering her and looking at her pretty face.

He gulped at that.

It was very inappropriate for him to have the thoughts that he wasn't supposed to have towards her already, but she was just doubling it.

This girl is going to give him a hell of a time chaperoning her.

And just like that, the next thing he knew is he's already saying the dumbest thing he had ever said his entire life.

“Where do you want to go?”

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

“I let you drive my car, but our agreement doesn't include you killing us both!” Cameron shouted as he let the blonde witch drive his car, way over the speeding limit, with him riding shotgun in it.

It was the middle of the night and the road was empty.

After being a total idiot and giving his keys into the troubled witch, she drove his car into the almost empty road like a maniac.

She was being so carefree and just not giving a fuck.

“Relax,” She said, turning on her side to look at him. “You're immortal, you're not going to die.” She added before returning her gaze back to the road again.

“No I'm not!” He yelled, holding into something, mentally praying to the dark lord that he doesn't die tonight.

“Liar,” She said, rolling her eyes. “You're Alpha Gavin's son.” She reasoned.

“It's complicated.” He answered, finally calming down.

Cameron was a hybrid.

Both of his parents were hybrids.

His grandma on her mother's side was a vampire, and she mated with a warewolf.

While his Grandma on his father's side was a warewolf who mated with a vampire.

The vampire gene was more dominant than the warewolf gene, so Cameron doesn't age.

But he does have mortality.

“Where are you even taking us anyway?” He asked as she finally slowed down a little.

A smirk creeped up to her face when she heard that.

“You'll see,” She said.

After their drive to death, the blonde finally stopped the car.

He doesn't know why she brought them here, but it sure is creeping him out.

“You better not kill me,” He threatened as he looked at the dark forest in front of them.

He doesn't even know that this area exist.

“I won't,” She said, looking at him with a smug expression. “Unless you give me a reason to do so, of course.” She added, unbuckling her seatbelt before getting off the car.

Not wanting to let the lady go on her own, Cameron unbuckled his seatbelt too and jumped off the car.

It was a dark night, but the moon was full, and it was shining brightly.

“I heard that a mortal's body was found here yesterday,” She spoke creepily as the cold breeze of the night hit their skin. “I heard that they only found the upper part of his body, and his legs were missing.” She added, making shivers run down his spine.

He knew where exactly she's going with this, and he doesn't like the idea one bit.

Cameron was always the one to follow his father's rules, and this one was against it.

The little witch sure does have some pretty disturbing thoughts, though.

Even the mightiest of the mightiest wouldn't dare go to a forest in the middle of the night and search for missing legs of the deceased just for fun.

She was a psycho.

“No,” He said disagreeing with the idea, “I'm not going with you there.” He added, shaking his head.

Based on their encounter earlier, Cameron can tell that she was stubborn.

She would always argue just to have whatever it is that she wanted.

But this time, she didn't.

Instead, she just turned around and walked towards him and handed him his keys.

He scrunched his eyebrows at that.

“What?” he asked. “You're just going to give in that easily and go back to the coven with me?” He added, finding her response confusing.

This doesn't seem like her.

“No,” She replied, taking a step backward from him.

She was already pretty, but her innocent face under the moonlight as her hair was slightly flying around because of the breeze was something else.

She was stunning.

“You are,” She said. “I'm still going.” She added, giving him one final look in the eye before making her way into the trail of the forest.

He groaned at that.

His duty was clear.

He's supposed to chaperone her and bring her inside the coven safe and sound.

But it was also clear that it wasn't happening anytime soon.

He knew that he can just grab her and drag her back to the coven if he wanted to, but the aroma of adventure in her veins were starting to be contagious.

He's starting to feel it.

It was bad.

“I'm coming with you!” He shouted, giving up in doing what is supposed to be done before finally following her.

Catching up with her, Cameron reached out for her hand.

He knew that it was dangerous to rummage through a Forrest in the middle of the night, and he can't let anything bad happen to this girl.

She was his responsibility.

“What are you doing?” She asked, looking down at their intertwined hands.

“I can't let you out here on loose,” He said, studying their surroundings. “It's dangerous.” He added.

After that, neither one of them said a word to each other.

They just walked quietly together, hands in hands in hands in the dark forest as the chilly breeze hit their skin.

They remained like that until she took a turn to the right.

It wasn't a part of the trail anymore, and he's pretty sure that if they go too far, they're going to get lost.

“Where are we going?” He asked, still not letting go of her.

“It's here,” She replied. “The legs are here, I can sense it with my cunning.” She added.

Trusting her, Cameron let the blonde pixie drag him into the middle of the forest until it was too dark that he had to use his supernatural abilities to see.

And he's guessing that she casted a spell that made her see in the dark.

As they were getting deeper and deeper in the forest and Cameron doesn't know where they are anymore, panicked came into him.

He was in the verge of having an anxiety attack when she loosened her hand from him and run towards a specific spot.

He kept an eye on her as she walked around the area and when she finally stopped, he knew that they've found it.

“Holy shit,” He mumbled under his breath as he ran towards her.

“We found it,” She said, kneeling beside the cut-off legs, reaching for her lighter in her pocket and using it to take a better look at the remains.

It was better than she imagined.

It rained earlier, and it was obvious that it was decaying.

The stench was also really smelly but she didn't mind.

As she was just about to touch it, someone behind them spoke.

“Put your hands in the air where I can see them,” Said a police officer behind them.

Cameron might be obedient, but he doesn't take orders from mortals.

Using his abilities, he turned around faster than the speed of light and knocked the officer down and throw his gun far away from them.

Just as he was just about to help the blonde up, a few more officers came around, surrounding them.

His eyes widened at that.

They were in deep shit.

“You got your car key, right?” She asked, grasping the hem of his shirt with her squirrel hands.

“Yes,” He answered.

By now, the police officers were getting closer and closer to them, and they knew that they can't just stand there and do nothing for long if they don't want to sleep in jail for the night.

“Run,” She said.

Instead, of doing it, considering the fact that it was obviously their only option, Cameron just stood there and froze.

But as soon as one officer were only a step away from them, he snapped back to reality.

Surprising the blonde by sweeping her off the ground, Cameron sprinted towards the only section of the forest where he didn't see a single officer.

He ran furiously in the forest with the blonde in his arms with no actual destination considering the fact that he doesn't know where they are.

Taking a break, he stopped for a bit to catch his breath.

And as soon as he did that, the bright torch of light made him back on alert mode again.

He doesn't know how they did it, but the police officers somehow managed to catch up with them.

Grabbing her by the hand, he hid behind a big tree with her hands wrapped around her waist.

The police officers were scanning the place, and he's sure that it wouldn't take them long to finally spot them.

He was worried as hell, but he can't feel any abnormal body reactions from the Blonde.

They were still in that position when she finally spoke up.

“I know a way,” She said in a whisper.

He lowly scoffed at that.

“Every way you had gets us in trouble,” He protested before peeking behind them just to see that the police officers have finally gone off.

He sighed in relief for that.

“No,” She insisted, turning around, so they're now facing each other.

Their faces were inches apart and their body has no space at all

Cameron wanted to be mad at her for dragging him into this mess, but her sweet innocent appeal made him screw that.

“I dragged us into this mess, and I'm getting us out of it.”
