Chapter 3 - Clothes

"Put some clothes on, please!" I said, a little embarrassed.

"There's no need to be embarrassed, my love" he said, undoing the hug and then gave me a kiss on the lips "I'm happy you beli-.." I interrupted him.

"I said I chose to believe, but not that I would accept being yours," I said seriously and he looked at me with a sad look, but I tried to ignore it. "And I told you to put some clothes on."

He just looked down, kind of downcast, and that made me feel guilty, especially because he said he was happy and I ended up making him sad.

"Gabriel, I'm sorry I made you sad because of what I said before, but I don't even know you." I said as I rubbed my hand on my arm.

"It's okay, I understand," he said with his head down.

I shouldn't have said that to him, I want those dimples back.

"I ended up getting excited about finding my chosen one, so I forgot that for you humans it's different" he spoke and sighed at the end, then he looked up at me "But that doesn't mean I'll give up like this, I'll do my best to win you over" he said and smiled confidently making his dimples appear.

If he knew that he already wins points with me every time those dimples appear, oh my heart someti-... Vanessa, focus! This is no time to be fooling yourself, who will say that I am really his chosen one!? Besides him, probably his wolf, although I read in a book where there are werewolves that it is difficult, one of them falls in love with a human even more so if it is an alpha, sometimes they get confused because the heat is close or something like that, but...

"Alpha calling his love" he said as he waved his hand in front of my eyes making me come out of my thoughts "What are you thinking so much about?" he asked me curiously.

"Just about a book I read" I replied and saw him flash a smile with those beautiful dimples "That's how I fall in love" I ended up saying without meaning to and saw him blush.

"I-I'm glad to know that you can fall in love with my smile" he said blushing as he scratched the back of his neck and gave a shy smile "That means you like my smile" he said smiling and then put his hands on his face as if he was going to hide with her because of shame.

Is it wrong for me to wonder if he really is an alpha!?

"Gabriel" I called him and he lowered his hands so he could look at me and now he was just covering his face from nose to mouth "Could you please turn back into your animal form!?" I asked and saw him nod.

After Gabriel returned to his animal form, I told him to stay there until I returned with the clothes I would have to buy for him.

I'm so happy to have found Mate, when she comes back with the clothes I'll give her the bracelet I have, but...

"I'm not fooling myself, you can rest assured" said my wolf trying to calm me down.

"You know how hard it is for an alpha lupus to find his chosen one" I said sadly "And you know what the council said about an alpha lupus having a chosen one who is human.

"The council is a bunch of prejudiced people" my wolf spoke in an irritated tone and I heard growls "And I already said that I'm not mistaken, even though it's very difficult for an alpha lupus to have a human as his chosen one."

"I'm afraid that legend is real, and if it is..." I stopped talking because my wolf interrupted me.

"If it's real, we'll protect her from everything!" my wolf spoke with a confident tone of voice "Don't think about that legend now, the important thing is our chosen one and trying to win her over!"

"I know, but it doesn't change the fact that I'm worried about what might come in the future."

"Gabriel, as long as she wears the bracelet, everything will be fine" my wolf said "That bracelet is passed down from generation to generation, to give to our chosen one and thus she will be protected by whoever it may be."

"I know, Guará, I just don't know if I'll be prepared by then if this legend is true," I said in a serious tone.

My wolf's name is "Guará" and there is a legend that contains his name, this story makes me worried not only because my wolf's name is Guará just like in the legend, But because my chosen one is also human, I really hope that legend is just a lie and that there is no sacrifice.

"Sorry for the delay Gabriel" I said after closing the door of the veterinary clinic with difficulty due to the bags of clothes.

I turned around and got a fright, causing me to drop the bags of clothes because Gabriel was in front of me and I don't even know when he arrived so quickly.

"You scared me!" I said, placing my hand on my chest near where my heart is.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, Mate!" he said.

"It's okay, just be careful next time" I said still with my hand on my chest trying to calm my heart that almost stopped.

After calming down, I realized that in front of my eyes was Gabriel's hand extended and holding a bracelet, the same one he was wearing on his wrist before.

"Now that I've found you, I can finally give you your bracelet," he said with the bracelet still held out in front of my eyes.

"My bracelet?" I asked confused as I picked up the bracelet.

"Yes, it is yours because you are my chosen one" he said while smiling, but then he had a serious expression "This will show that you are my chosen one, and it will also protect you when I'm not around."

"What do you mean protect me?" I said curiously as I took the bracelet from his hand. "What are you hiding from me?" I asked as I crossed my arms with the bracelet still in my hands.

""Sit down, you're going to need it," he said as he turned around.

"Wait a moment" I said and he turned his face to see me "Before you tell me, please put on some clothes."

"Ah, of course" he said as he turned around again.
