Chapter 4 - Descendant

After I got dressed, I went to the door and opened it, finding my chosen one outside the clinic.

"Okay, I'm dressed" I said and she walked towards me.

She entered the clinic and I asked her to sit down and after she did that, I started telling her.

"There is a legend that involves both my wolf's name and me, as the alpha, who has the same name as you," I said in a serious tone of voice and saw her get confused. "At first I thought it could just be a coincidence due to my wolf's name being Guará, but I started to question myself when I met you" I sighed at the end of my speech and continued "In the legend it says that if the chosen one of the alpha lupus that contains Guará as his wolf finds his chosen one and If she is a human, there may be a sacrifice due to the possibility of war" I said with a serious look and saw my chosen one's expression become worried and surprised.

"Why would a war occur and who or what would be sacrificed?" my chosen one asked.

Because the legend says that the human is a descendant of the knight Belfaguer, he was a knight in Portugal and as for the sacrifice it doesn't say what it is specifically" I answered her.

"Knight Belfaguer!?" said my chosen one with a confused expression on her beautiful face "As far as I know, there is no one in my family with that name who was a knight" she said looking thoughtful.

"Dom Sueiro Belfaguer was a knight and was the first lord of the house of Sousa or Souza" I explained to her and I saw her expression change into surprise "Is your last name Sousa or Souza by any chance?" I asked a little worried about her answer.

"Yes" she answered and I ran my hand through my hair as I let out a sigh. "What would be the problem with my last name other than the possibility that I'm a descendant of that knight?"

Honestly, I don't really know either, but they say that the knight Belfaguer was good at what he did" I said "And when I say what he did, I don't just mean as a knight but as a hunter" I continued to speak in a serious tone while my chosen one just listened attentively and with a worried expression mixed with confusion "He hunted alphas and omegas, at that time humans knew about us, unfortunately not all alphas were kind to humans, even because the class of humans is beta would be the lowest of all, but there was a different beta."

"Dom Sueiro Belfaguer" she said and I nodded that she was right.

"Mr. Belfaguer was a noble knight, at least that's what the other humans said" I said as I started to pace back and forth "He became a hunter after finding out what some asshole alphas wanted to do with some human women, to be quite honest I even understand "because he started hunting" I said and you could tell by my tone of voice how irritated I was, and I stopped walking.

"What did they intend to do with these women?" she asked.

"They would use them for their heat, whether they wanted it or not" I said irritably and she was surprised, but then I saw that her expression changed to angry. "This was and still is a crime, unfortunately not all alphas respect the other classes and it gets worse when there is no alpha lupus in the city or at that time the case would be in those lands, but there was the knight Dom Sueiro Belfaguer and he had to use powers that he never thought he would use one day."

"Powers!?"

"Yes, he could predict the future and among other things" I said.

"I believe that I am not his descendant, because I never predicted the future" she said seriously"

"You are his descendant, your surname proves it" I said with a serious expression "You just don't have the foresight and the other powers that were inherited to you simply because they were sealed since birth, and that's where the Lima family comes in, as they are in charge of this.

"Does Arthur Arthur know this too!?" She spoke confusedly and apparently it was more to herself than to me. "I need to make a call," she said and I nodded.

After hearing that, I thought about the possibility that my childhood friend, Arthur, also knew about it, especially since he is a Lima.

I picked up my cell phone and dialed Arthur's number, after the second ring he answered.

"Hey Van."

"Arthur, I need to ask you something."

"I can see that you are serious, especially since you rarely call me that, ask me."

"Do you know anything about Dom Sueiro Belfaguer and about me being his descendant?"

".....Who told you that?"

"You knew, I can tell because you just answered me with another question when you hide something you didn't want me to find out."

"Vanessa, I..."

"I know, I know you well enough to understand that you had your reasons. Could you come here to talk to me and Gabriel?"

"...yeah. But who is this?"

"I'll answer you when I get here, see you later Arthur"

"See you"

I hung up the call and then sighed.

"This Arthur is from the Lima family, right!?" Gabriel said after I turned off my cell phone screen and I nodded my head in agreement. "I imagined that you might know someone from the Lima family, especially since they were a family of wizards who helped Souza and Sousa a long time ago.

"How long?" I asked curiously.

"Since Belfaguer saved someone important to the Limas," he replied, "Belfaguer had helped save a human woman from a jerk alpha who coincidentally was Mr. Lima's fiancée. Mr. Lima was also the king of wizards" he said with a serious expression "Mr. Lima promised to protect Belfaguer's descendants, but I don't know what it would be about, I believe it's probably from the legend."

"I imagined that the person who had told you about Belfaguer was an alpha" said a familiar male voice making me look back and that's when I see Arthur "I just didn't think you'd still be here," Arthur said as he walked towards me. "What are you still doing here?" he asked and stopped beside me, Arthur's gaze was serious as he looked at Gabriel.
