ISABELLA

The sun reflected off the towering glass like it was trying to blind me. I tilted my head back slowly, the sheer height of the building swallowing the sky. It shimmered like a palace built for gods sharp edges, endless floors, secrets trapped behind tinted windows.

My throat tightened.

I’d always thought Damian owned only one company the one I used to visit, the one my father once walked me through like I belonged. But this… this wasn’t the same world. It felt like I’d stepped into someone else’s life. Someone ruthless.

A man with too many masks and too many secrets.

He’d fooled all of us.

“Are you going to stand there all day staring at the building?” Richard’s voice snapped me back to reality flat, cold, distant.

I turned to him, blinking like I’d just woken up. “Sorry,” I muttered.

He was already waiting beside a sleek, black bulletproof car. The kind of car you don’t ask questions about. The kind that drives power, and sometimes, death.

I slid inside without another word,

DAMIANThe light from my desk lamp flickered over scattered documents as I reviewed the final plans. My mind should’ve been on logistics, security, cameras, guest lists but all I could picture was her.Isabella.A soft knock tapped against the door, followed by Richard stepping in, sharp in his black suit, his presence stiff and formal."How’s everything for tomorrow?" I asked, my tone calm, but cold beneath the surface.Richard stood straight, hands clasped behind his back like a soldier reporting to war."We’re ready, sir. Just as you instructed. Media coverage is confirmed, the guest list’s tight, and security has been doubled. Diego and I will stay with her the entire time."My eyes narrowed at the mention of his brother."Good," I said slowly, leaning back in my chair. My gaze drifted toward the window, past the view, past the skyline. "Nothing must happen to her. She’s the most precious thing I have."He gave a nod quick, silent and turned to leave. The door clicked shut.I exha

ISABELLAHe came closer, the heavy silence between us thick enough to choke on. The soft glow of the chandelier flickered above, casting shadows across my bare skin as I stood in front of the full-length mirror naked. Vulnerable. Exposed. My reflection looked like a stranger.Damian’s voice slid into my ear like a razor wrapped in silk."You should’ve stayed a good girl, princess. You shouldn’t have followed your friend."Tears welled in my eyes, blurring the image of the broken girl staring back at me. She had my face, my body, but none of my strength.I barely registered the moment his hand slid around me. But I felt it his fingers trailing lower, claiming territory that no longer felt like mine. One finger pushed into me, and my lips parted on a shaky moan.He yanked my hair back, forcing my gaze to hold the mirror’s reflection."You don’t moan. You don’t scream. You don’t move unless I tell you to. Do you understand?" His voice was low, dangerous. "If you disobey me, your friend d

ISABELLA The car ride back was painfully silent. Two of Damian’s men sat in front, but I barely saw them. My eyes were locked on the city vanishing behind us through the tinted window, and all I could think about was Liliana her eyes, her startled face, her confusion when I screamed her name. I had nearly reached her. Just a few more steps. But I knew what would’ve happened if I had taken them. Beside me, Tracy sat with her arms folded tightly, her lips pressed into a straight line. I ruined her day. I ruined everything. “I’m sorry,” I whispered, not daring to look at her. She turned slowly, offering a soft smile as her hand found mine. “It’s okay,” she said, her voice calm. But her eyes told a different story. She was scared. For me. For herself. Maybe for what would happen next. I didn’t blame her. I was scared too. The estate gates groaned open like the jaws of a beast, and my stomach twisted as if something inside me already knew this wouldn’t end in mercy. The SUV

ISABELLA The scent of lavender still clung to my skin, reminding me that I must have drifted off in the bathtub last night. My fingers brushed over the faint bruises on my thighs reminders of Damian’s touch. A shiver raced down my spine, not from fear, but from the memory. God, what was wrong with me? I should hate him. But all I could think of was how badly I wanted him again. I pulled the towel tighter around me, dragging my lazy body toward the bathroom mirror. My reflection looked dazed puffy eyes, hair messy from sleep, and lips swollen from kisses I shouldn't have enjoyed. I reached for my toothbrush when my phone buzzed on the counter. Damian. I didn't even hesitate. My heart leapt as I snatched the phone and opened the message like a lovesick fool. Dress up, little princess. You were so obedient last night you deserve an outing. My men will be following you. Wear whatever you like. I stared at the screen, my jaw dropping. Wait… what? I blinked again, rereading t

ISABELLA This has to be a dream. A wild, reckless, impossible dream. Damian cold, cruel Damian just kissed me. Softly. Gently. As if I mattered. Before I could even process it, he lifted me off my feet like I weighed nothing and carried me into the bathroom. The bathtub was already filled with warm water, steam rising around us like a veil. He didn’t say a word as he lowered me in, his eyes never leaving mine. The heat soaked into my skin, but it was nothing compared to the fire already stirring deep inside me. My body tensed as he stepped in after me, fully clothed well, almost. The water lapped around us, and then he started undressing me, slowly, carefully. Every brush of his fingers against my skin was electric, making me tremble. I should have pushed him away. I should have screamed. But all I did was gasp. He peeled away the last piece of fabric, and I was bare beneath his gaze. I didn’t want to look at him, but I did and I froze. He was half-naked. His boxers clung l

ISABELLA It had been three days. Three long, quiet, heavy days since someone tried to take me from Damian. And three days since I last saw him. Not a glimpse. Not a single word. Just silence. Tracy stayed close hovering, chatting, trying to keep me company like I wasn’t losing my mind wondering where he was. But now, even she was gone. I sat alone on the edge of my bed, staring at the door like it might open if I just wished hard enough. I hated how much I missed him. I knew Damian was probably handling the man they caught. And knowing him… that man wouldn't last. Damian never forgives. Not when it comes to me. A soft creak snapped me out of my thoughts. The door opened. And there he was. Damian. His frame filled the doorway like a shadow dragging the night in with him. Broad shoulders. Blood-smeared sleeves. Alive. My lungs forgot what to do. “Damian,” I breathed. My voice was barely sound, but my feet moved on their own. The soft patter against the cold marble
