Franklin's POV

Scarlett touched my arm, but I hurriedly pulled away at her touch. I wasn't feeling like myself. I wanted to consume her. I wanted to be in her skin, and somehow, I knew that if I went on with what was happening, I'd probably wake up to her dead body by my side.

Something was wrong with me, but I couldn't place my hand on it.

“Orion…” she called my name softly, and I slowly turned to look at her. Her beauty appealed to me in every manner. Her long hair blew to the front of her face, and she was just too attractive.

“I can't…” I softly said, opening my eyes. “Not tonight.”

“You… you… don't… want me?” Scarlett asked, pinning her gaze to the floor.

“Nonsense!” I hurriedly debunked it. “I want you so badly , it makes my head hurt.”

“I just don't feel like myself.” I explained, and she nodded.

She stretched her hands out for a hug, shrugging at me as if to tell me that it was the least I could do.
