Chapter 17. Chain

"Emma, darling," Liam tried to make the little woman in the bed look at him but she didn't move. She even shoved his hand from her.

"Go away," she said and the sad tone reached his ears.

"Emma, please," he turned her around and he saw her pout and red eyes. "I... why would you like to learn such things? They are dangerous and you are..."

"I had learned before, my grandpa was also a warrior in Luriem, remember?"

"I know, but..." he hesitated, "this is the land of the dragons, it is not the same."
