The Shiratori family are in the common room waiting in anticipation. It is the day when Cai Kang is supposed to arrive. They heard the story of their father's friend from China; Changming, who will bring his son to Japan and one of the girls will end up as his fiancee. The truth is that while the entire clan has been aware of it, that doesn't mean they are entirely happy about it. There are plenty of suitors of desirable and more powerful families who would suit their daughters as marriage partners. But it has come to a standstill. Cai Kang had woken up to a knock on the door and saw it is Saeko. "It is time to wake up now. You should get ready for school." She said in a singy songy tone and left the area. Cai Kang yawned and looked to see she had left the school uniform and school supplies at his doorstep. After washing up, and trying on the uniform, he struggled with the tie before giving up. The necktie struggle is apparent to the others as he came down for breakfast. Saeko notices it and helps tie it for him. "Thanks" he said. He then notice hostility in the air. Kazuha is looking at Noriko and Toya with a deep stare. He could tell she is unhappy at them. Even her eyes are glowing. The twins were silent, which is unusual for them. Cai Kang could tell that they are scared. "Did something happen between you guys?" He asked, hoping to break the tension. "Thank you for the meal." Noriko said frantically out of her seat. The next day, Cai Kang and Kazuha ran to school seeing a hoard of boys but they were not preparing for an attack this time. “What is going on? Aren’t you gonna try to attack me again?” Kazuha said with confusion. “Shiratori Kazuha, we shall no longer challenge you. We all discussed this and we decided to recognize your engagement to Cai-san.” One of them said, They were bewildered. “What’s going on? Why have you-” Then they saw Karasuma. He looks terrible. He is covered in bandages all over his body. The wounds do not even seem superficial. Most of them do not even look like the injuries that Cai Kang inflicted on him. Cai Kang can deduce that he is attempting to train but hurt himself in the process. “You all heard the false rumor that Cai Kang has defeated me but I will not admit defeat.” He declared despite being obviously in pain. Is he still trying to act all mighty and cool after that beating? His ego’s unbeatable. Cai Kang thought. Even in this state, he is a sore loser.

Hi, I made this chapter before hand in case someone is confused with the terminology and a couple other things in the story. It is written in the chapters but this is a more detailed explanation of the things so far. This is information from the author's note section that was posted in the previous website that I've used before. I am still getting used to the writing features on here so until then I will continue to post some of my author's notes this way. Xian: a Chinese term for a person who can manipulate chi. The japanese version of this word is Sen. No one is actually born a xian and has to be trained in how to use it before they are automatically considered a xian. However, whenever a person is talented like Karasuma who had no prior training, that person can still be considered a Xian. It means immortal or sorcerer. Xia: a chinese term for a person who is a martial artist in Shenmi/Inverse. Kyo is the japanese term. They are martial artists usually incorporate chi in their fig
