PHOENIX / SOREN POV I head into the clan house, into one of the guest bedrooms, and into the bathroom. I go to the sink, turn on the tap and splash my face… Once, twice, three times, I look into the mirror and see the spot that Seraphina had told me about. I clean all the blood up. There was a nice cut along my hairline. It wasn’t deep and Soren had already stopped the bleeding, so it was just a red line now.I look down and splash my face once more, but when I look up again, I can’t control the anger that rises in me. Since my mother was killed by a rogue vampire, my father has hated them all and this peace has slowly pushed him over the edge, but I need to know if there is anything to what he says or if what she says is true, I need to know the truth.I put the piece of paper into my inside zipped pocket, strip and shift. Cara is now feeling a lot better and a lot stronger, but she still isn’t at full strength, and that blood still had that strange taste to it. I just hope Cara is ready for a fight because I just know from the look in that Alpha’s eyes that he is going to force himself on me.
