I decided not to dwell on what had happened at my workplace a few days ago. Though it had been a couple of days since the incident, and Adrian had come by promising to be involved in the whole process, I still hadn’t heard from him.

Not that I was counting, anyway.

I sat at the dining table and took some cereal into my mouth. Jacinta was right, it was pointless to brood over any of it.
