Crimson 's POV

“How could you? How could both of you do this to me?” I questioned, looking at the person I called my fiancé in bed with my best friend, and sister, Alexis. Words couldn't explain the amount of pain I felt as the two people I cherished most in my life betrayed me and still didn’t show any form of remorse from being caught in the act.

“What are you talking about, Crimson?” Damon asked, glaring daggers at me while Alexis rubbed slowly at his chest, whilst ignoring my presence in the room.

Tears rolled down my cheeks as Damon’s eyes which once looked at me with love  and admiration suddenly turned into that of hatred and disgust. I shook my head vigorously, willing it to  be  a bad dream and  hoping that everything would be better when I woke up in the morning.

I slowly pinched myself on the cheeks and all but sobbed when I felt the harsh stings against my face. It wasn’t a dream!

I felt like my world  had come crashing down as they both turned away  from me like II do not exist and went back to  making out right in front of me, without an iota of remorse.

“Fuck me harder, baby. Show her what she's missing out on!” Alexis shrill voice rang out  as Damon pounded into her wetness at a very fast rate. The sound of his dick slapping against her walls and the gibberish she was uttering, all for moans, made my knees weak and my heart squeeze in anger. 

What would it take to rip both of their heads away from their bodies right now?

I and Damon have been dating for 2 years, and it hadn't been up to 2 weeks that he proposed to me. I gladly accepted and even informed Alexis, since the two of them were the only people I had in my life after the death of the Alpha and his Luna—our parents. 

I was supposed to get married before being crowned Luna, and my joy knew no bounds when Damon proposed to me.

I had dressed to kill, made up and wanted to surprise Damon by taking him out on a date tonight, but it seemed he had plans of surprising me as well.

My heart ached as he continued fucking her in front of me. 

“Stop it, already!” I seethe in anger. I felt angry tears spring into my eyes but in anger, I wiped them off.

“Why should we stop when we're having a nice time?” Damon smirked as he continued making love to her right in front of me, without remorse.

Alexis kept moaning, irritating and infuriating me the more. In anger, I rushed to them and pushed him off her. 

My anger flared when he landed on the floor and I noticed that his dick was still erect. Not minding that, I flung my bag to the side of the room, and pulled him up by the collar before landing two heavy slaps on his face. I heard Alexis gasp from behind me, but I didn't give a shit.

“How dare you?” He snarled, but I stood unmoved.

“Are you this shameless? How could you do this to me, you fool?” I yelled. “I trusted both of you. You were like the only family I have, and you still are; but you have the guts to betray me like this?” 

“Shut up, Crimson. Just shut the fuck up!” Damon yelled. “Did you think I loved you all these years, huh? You were just a naive girl, who fell in love easily. You were so stupid and gullible, and that is why I've been able to use you until now…” He paused as hot tears rolled down my eyes. “I never loved you. I was only using you because you were the next in line to the  Alpha. I proposed to you because I knew you were going to become Luna. Stop thinking highly of yourself, Crimson. You mean nothing to me!”

“Y… Y… You did all these because of my title?” I asked. The pain in my heart was indescribable. Jeez! I thought he loved me. Damon was like a mate to me, since I haven't been able to sense my mate. He was the reason I didn't really think too much about it. I was ready to get married to him and tell this mating stuff to go to hell, but now, fate had played a big one on me.

I clutched to my chest, breathing heavily as more tears rolled down my cheeks. “You're a monster,” I wailed.

He scoffed and looked into my eyes. “I hate you, Crimson. There's nothing about you that entice me except what's in between your legs—”

I cut him off with another slap. “Don't you dare insult me, Damon! You're a liar. You didn't love me, yet you allowed me to waste two years of my life with you. I hate you!” I screamed.

“Stop throwing a tantrum, bitch. I've had enough of your nonsense.” Alexis said, and I turned to look at her.

“You were my best friend, and my sister, Alexis. Why did you do this?” I asked.

I heard Damon scoff and walk outside, but I wanted to avoid dealing with him now. I wanted to know why my younger sister , the person I called sweetheart, would betray me this way.

“Isn't it obvious? I want to be Luna.” She smirked. “I’ve always hated the fact that a weakling such as you happened to come first and had a better shot than I did at becoming the next Luna.”

“I am Luna here. How can cheating on me with Damon make you a Luna?” I furrowed my brows.

“You're too naive, Crimson. You've been the pampered princess, mom, and dad's little girl that you have no common sense to see what is crystal clear and right in front of you,” She blurted out with a snicker.

“Alexis!” I snapped.

“Crimson!” She snapped back. “Get the fucking hell out and return to wherever you're coming from. Your face disgusts me. All these while, I've been trying to put up with you but I can't anymore.” She eyed me from head to toes.

“Get out, Crimson,” Damon said after returning from wherever he had gone to.

I couldn't control the tears that dropped from my eyes. "D… Dam—”

“Get out, bitch!” He snapped.

“Out.” Alexis chimed in.

I slowly walked to where I had dropped my bag and picked it up. “The two of you will pay for this.” I started walking out.

“You have to live to achieve that.” Alexis chuckled.

I halted for a second but shook my head and stormed out in tears. I got into my car and turned it on, driving out of there and into the road. My tears fell in torrents as I struggled to fix my eyes on the road. Betrayal hurts more when it's from someone unexpected and someone you love.

“They won't get away with—” My words were cut off when the car started misbehaving. Nothing I touched worked, and it was speeding at a high rate. I marched the brakes, but it was fruitless. “No, the car was just fine this evening,” I panicked when I lost control.

That was when Alexis' words rang in my head. Damn! They must’ve tampered with the brakes of my car. Their plan was to kill me!

I screamed when the car left the road, heading for a cliff. “No, moon goddess, please help. You can't allow me to die like this. I am all alone in this world. You can't let an orphan like me die, not when I have people to deal with, please.” I pleaded in tears.

The car kept moving, making no attempt to stop. The last thing I saw before I heard the car shattering into pieces was my soul leaving my body.

I felt my breath ceasing as the world suddenly became silent.
