Naked and Afraid
As I approached the camp site the smell of rain and grass invaded my senses and made my head spin. I couldn’t understand how Lila managed to stay away from her mate’s scent, because if Blake smelled half as good to Lila as Valen did to me, there was no way I could live with him as his heavenly essence filled the halls I walked daily.
“Alpha, we weren’t expecting you so early.” Savien, one of Amethyst Mist’s top guards was saying through mind-link as he approached me in the form of his large sandy colored wolf.
“It’s not that early, the sun has already risen.” This was true, but the sun had just begun to rise. “How did last night go?”
