“Oliver, it's right behind you!” I screamed out, to Oliver. He jumped up avoiding the strike to the leg delivered by the giant spider.
Just minutes ago we had discussed our strengths to devise ways to end it quickly. Oliver and Benjamin were placed as our offensives considering they were stronger.
“I want to be on the offensive too.” I said out loud, deciding not to be quiet.
“What? You wanna get yourself killed?” Benjamin replied, his eyes seemed to be weighing me.
“Besides, we will really need you guys to back us up on the defensive.” He added.
“Thelma, be on the look out for the weak spot, you might notice while we are attacking.” Oliver said, releasing what looked like a trident. It wasn’t a lycan weapon but I could tell it was lethal.
The spider had already revealed itself fully now. It was tall, reaching half the height of the colosseum.
“Woahh!” Mica exclaimed, dodging a web that came from its mouth. It roared in anger, going straight for her again. Oliver rushed in with his trident, getting close the spider utilized its spiked hands against Oliver. It was obvious the spider was really fast with its attacks, but Oliver was doing well keeping up with it. As expected of him.
“It’s a Ravage tier monster, it should be easy if we work together.” Benjamin said. Afterwards, he went down running with his hands and legs, on getting close to the creature, he made a high jump transforming to his werewolf self mid-air.
His jaws elongated revealing his sharp teeth, it was strange… he had a golden fur that blended with the sunlight, it was also very magnetic, he looked like gold itself.
“Come on Elsa, he has a girlfriend.” Mica said, signaling me to get closer.
“What no, that’s not what I was looking at. Look at the edge of its body. It has a hole at its end, I think we can annihilate it that way.”
“Thats a good idea but I think we should just keep it busy for now and see what Benjamin has up his sleeve.” She said, dodging an attack meant for her neck.
Oliver was still battling the monster head on, he looked really focused as he slashed and ducked with his trident. I could tell he was skilled with the weapon, as he fought in sync with it. But I noticed anytime he struck back, the monster's reflexes were so sharp that he would miss.
It was starting to annoy him, he had a very stern look as he tried his best to create chances for large attacks but each time the spider would avoid it then counter with its own.
“No way can you see that. It’s almost like it’s getting faster the more we attack.” Thelma exclaimed, breathing in heavily after being hit to the side by the monster.
My gaze shifted once more to the top of the monster. Benjamin’s form kept moving from side to side on top of the creature. Golden werewolves are powerful because they are born with a larger energy pool, this means they can last longer in running, fighting and many other things. They are not so rampant.
The monster could create limbs anywhere on its body, Benjamin scratched and tore at them with his claws and jaws but they kept coming out, he wasn’t tiring any time soon neither was the spider. It created three limbs at once this time all going for Benjamin with its pointed spikes. He evaded the first limb, attacking and biting off the second one.
It was amazing because only him was able to injure the spider. Although, it didn’t matter since it could create another in no time.
“I don’t think Benjamin has an actual plan up there.” I released the air in my lungs.
The monster had created five limbs against Benjamin and he wasn’t having it easy. He got stabbed on the shoulder region while the other arm whacked him off, he hit the extreme creating a little dent.
I ran round the spider, it followed my movement but I didn’t care I just went in delivering a devastating blow to its side.
“Rrhhhhhh.”
It screamed in pain, In that short instant the whole team made good use of it attacking and destroying its legs.
“It worked! He can’t grow the legs back we can…” yeah I guess Oliver spoke too soon as what came next was double the amount of limbs we had seen previously. It looked longer with even more spikes.
Thelma had turned already, and she was in a serious battle with the back legs of the spider, but suddenly it turned to her, releasing thick hard webs that pinned her to the ground. She tried to move and get it off her but it was too hard, it didn’t budge.
It got close, deciding to feast on its first prey. Oliver zoomed in, I didn’t know when he turned but his brown fur was I could tell. He smashed into the monster's face, it was very close to eating Thelma. He held on to its face as it raised its body once more, he then released himself but not before clawing at the monster's left eye.
Green blood oozed from its eye as it shook its face furiously in pain. It was so fast that it flinged him to the distance. He bumped heavily into Benjamin who was just starting to get himself again.
“Zamora divine god help us, what the hell is wrong with Ser Godfrey this is obviously not a ravage monster, i suspect it could be a legendary monster with such strength.” Mica added, her face down with the outcome of the fight.
“Mica, I need you to distract the monster, I have an idea.”
“Over here!” She said, her voice echoing through the colosseum, the monster's interest got back to her as she ran avoiding its shooting webs. Mica couldn’t keep up for long as the monster was getting closer each passing second.
I turned, it was the first time since my evolution, my size got bigger, I was almost the size of an Andovian or Estonian werewolf. My obsidian mane exuded glory, I could hear whispers from the students, they were marveled by my form, I guess they never expected the wimpy girl to have such form.
I released my killing intent at the creature, it turned on instinct to my direction, charging at me with full force. I went at it too, running with new found speed. I reached the creature In seconds going under its legs, I tore and bit, my hide was so hard, it was difficult for its spikes to get through me. Soon I was on the other side of the monster. It turned again rushing at me
“Elsa.” Mica screamed, my gaze briefly shifted at her and I noticed the web had gotten her.
“Shit. Just hold on there Mica.”
I was between its legs again attacking the monster's limbs with everything in me.
“If only I could use elixirs, this would have ended quickly.” I muttered o under my breath.
More limbs kept coming out, it was getting really frustrating by the second. Without a moment's notice the monster jumped from where we fought landing on the place where Benjamin and Oliver where.
I’ve to save them. A few inches from Thelma, Oliver’s weapon lay on the ground.
“Thelma! Throw it.” I said getting her attention, she looked at the weapon and me again nodded with understanding. She stretched out, trying her best to reach it.
Oliver in his werewolf form positioned again for battle even though his face held doubts. It opened what looked like a mouth, attempting to release another web. And that's when the weapon left my arm going straight for the hole beside its abdomen, it pierced it with brutal force. Prompting a loud noise from the creature.
Its head wailed back and forth in pain as green blood rushed out continuously from the hole. It was at that moment with claws out Oliver made an attack upwards, his claws piercing another two eyes of the spider in its lower head section.
The creature was wailing and its legs were moving about hysterically. I needed to end its misery. I walked up to it getting closer to its back, the hole was still releasing a large amount of blood. Activating my clawshot skill, I positioned my fingers to its rear again, shooting a claw at it; it stopped wailing after a while, a testament to the force of the attack.
I let out another, releasing the attack five consecutive times, that was the new limit of the skill upgrading from three to five. This was because of my evolution. The creature had already stopped moving but I had failed to notice earlier.
Ser Godfrey had come out from where he watched us, his eyes widened in horror. But it wasn’t just him, most of the students had the same look on their faces.
I wondered what I did wrong.
“Isn’t that the level four student who was angry when you turned him down?” It was Oliver who spoke and he just revealed some interesting information while looking at Isabella.“I feel sorry for him, imagine getting turned down by Isabella,” Brad said, laughing. Richard bumped his shoulders saying“Oh come on, stop messing around, you know how much of a jerk Athelstan was to Isabella.” “What did he do Isabella?” I asked. I didn't want to look too interested in the topic, so I wandered carefreely.Isabella’s face contorted in an unsettling way as she recalled the story. “Athelstan approached me in the first week of school, he professed love to me stating it was love at first sight, he said he could feel our connection… that I was his mate.”Everyone fell silent as Isabella narrated her ordeal with Athelstan.“I didn’t want to sound rude, so I just told him that I wasn’t ready for that, I also emphasized that I was a fresher. Athelstan didn't take this lightly, he felt his ego was b
“What the hell, that was so gruesome.”“She would have just targeted the eyes.”“I hate to be that beast.”“I think it was Oliver that killed the beast.”The students had a lot of opinions about the fight, especially the ghastly death of the monster. Many were surprised by the unorthodox method I chose, to kill the monster. But I didn’t really care about that, I was just glad it was over.“That was a good one… wouldn’t you agree with me, class?”It seemed mica had a few things to say as she got up to her feet.“Agree with you? We almost died Ser, this was definitely beyond a Ravage tier monster.”“Yes. It most certainly was. For those of you looking to work for the guilds and become adventurers, do you think you’ll decide the tier of the monster you’ll encounter while in there? Werewolves have only covered fifteen percent of the Elshire forest, with so many mysterious and unknown creatures yet to be discovered.”He paused, his gaze turned to me suddenly, it was as though he was tryin

“What did you just say?” Daniel replied with a raised brow.“I mean… I don’t know if I’m strong enough to take him out.”“That is your problem. Do not disappoint the alpha.”“What if I get killed or caught doing this task?”“Then you should be proud of dying for your Alpha. But if you get caught, you know better than to mention his involvement in it. I wish you the best of luck child, try not to die yet. You interest me.” He replied heading to the stairway.Great, now I’m tasked to kill an innocent person. I can’t do that. It just makes me part of the system I fight against. I didn’t want to follow the stairway so I used the balcony again, bringing myself all the way down. Jumping and sliding down different platforms till I was back in the hallway I took off from earlier.I just had a few minutes more before my lecture, I sprinted as fast as I could, I left the castle grounds in seconds, the lecture wasn’t held in one of the many spaces in the school, rather it was held in the school
ELSA’S POV It didn’t take long before I got back to the room with a big tray filled with meat. The evolution was extremely painful, I could remember literally tearing at my own skin. That wouldn’t be good in the middle of a battle, the enemy would quickly kill me. What was Alex even thinking, he almost got himself killed out there, if I had shown up a bit later than I did. It would have been an entirely different story. He looked so beaten up. Why would he risk his life that way for me? Well with the way I am now, I wonder if I could beat Salvatore in a fight. During the time I held his weapon when he was close to killing Alex, I was barely holding on. I’ve grown quite a lot but it still isn’t enough.“That was fast.” Alex said, as I entered the room.“Yeah, couldn’t keep you waiting.” I said, smiling back.He held his gaze at me for a while before turning to the food.“Alex If your sister comes in my way, I would have to kill her.”“With the way you’re right now, are you sure you
Could this be it? Would I really die this way? I recounted my past memories as the sword went down my throat. I ought to have been dead already… but I wasn’t. It was quite shocking to me that I could still breathe, I could still smell Salvatore’s scent, I could still feel the blood running through my body. I looked up now, I could see her, she held the blade firmly, I could sense the strength Salvatore used in that last attack plus the added boost of the lycan weapon, and yet she held it firmly. She looked a little different now, her jawline looked more defined, she had this look in her eyes that carried the weight of problems no one could understand. Her obsidian hair gleamed in the moonlight, somehow both darker and brighter now. Salvatore looked flabbergasted to suddenly see her holding onto his staff, he had already frozen on the spot, he stood afterwards returning the weapon to his dimensional ring.“Elsa, you’re okay.”“Yes I’m well now.” She replied. She looked at me with a
