Jayden’s POV

I stood in front of the mirror, tying the same knot in my tie for the third time. It still didn’t look right. My hands weren’t steady enough.

The gala was supposed to be a celebration. A night of recognition for the studio’s investors, a chance to mingle, smile, and pretend everything was perfect. But lately, nothing about my life felt perfect.

I loosened the tie and started again. My phone buzzed on the dresser. Mila’s name flashed across the screen.

My chest warmed for a moment, but then I noticed the time. Nearly midnight. She never texted this late unless something was wrong.

Can we meet tomorrow? It’s important.

The words tightened something in me. I typed back fast. Of course. Are you okay?

The screen stayed silent. No reply.

I dropped the phone and pressed my hands against the dresser, staring at the reflection that didn’t look like me anymore. My eyes were dull, my shoulders heavy. Every day felt like carrying the weight of too many expectations. From the studio.

Mila’s POVThe photo on Jayden’s phone made my stomach drop. My jacket, my pace, the neon lights behind me every detail was from less than an hour ago. Whoever took it had been close, maybe even walking behind me.My fingers trembled as I shoved the phone back toward him. “He’s following me, Jayden. He knows where I am.”Jayden’s jaw tightened, his entire posture rigid. He reached across the table, steadying my shaking hands. “Listen to me. He wants to scare you. That’s all this is.”“No.” My voice cracked. “This isn’t scare tactics. This is proof. He’s showing you he can get to me whenever he wants.”The café suddenly felt too small, every pair of eyes on me. I could hear faint whispers at another table and couldn’t tell if they were talking about me or not. My chest tightened until I could hardly breathe.Jayden must have noticed, because he quickly paid the bill and guided me outside. His hand was firm at the small of my back, steady and grounding. But even with him so close, I cou

  • ENSLAVED TOTHE BILLIONAIRE   CHAPTER 50

Mila’s POVThe envelope from Daya hadn’t left my bag since the café. I couldn’t bring myself to throw it away, but I couldn’t look at it again either. The photographs, the carefully angled shots of Jayden and me, felt like poison. They weren’t real, not in the way Logan wanted them to be. Yet I knew how convincing they looked to strangers, and strangers were all the investors needed to believe.I sat on my bed in the apartment, the night pressing against the windows. Every time I closed my eyes, Hedda’s smirk appeared, only to dissolve into Logan’s face. He was always lurking in the shadows, pulling strings. My phone buzzed again.Another unknown number.“Step away from Jayden if you want your career back.”I stared at the words until my vision blurred. It wasn’t just Hedda, not anymore. Logan wanted me gone, and he was using every tool he had to make it happen.I wanted to tell Jayden, to let him carry this weight with me, but a part of me hesitated. What if Logan was right? What if

  • ENSLAVED TOTHE BILLIONAIRE   CHAPTER 49

Mila’s POVThe silence of my apartment felt unnatural, like the air itself carried secrets I wasn’t meant to hear. After leaving Daya’s cryptic warning behind, I’d been walking around in a daze, pretending I could still function. But deep down, I knew the walls were closing in. Logan’s name had been planted in my mind, and it had been sprouting ever since.I sat on the edge of my bed, the envelope of photos still unopened beside me. I didn’t need to look at them again. Every shot was burned into my memory the angle of Jayden’s hand on the back of my chair, the way our conversations could be twisted into something more. To anyone else, those pictures screamed scandal. To me, they screamed setup. The phone on my nightstand buzzed. A new message. My chest tightened as I reached for it.Unknown number again.“You think you’re safe because Jayden is beside you? He won’t be able to protect you when the investors turn their backs.”I dropped the phone onto the blanket like it was poison. My

  • ENSLAVED TOTHE BILLIONAIRE   CHAPTER 48

Mila’s POVThe air in the training grounds felt heavier than usual. Maybe it was me. Maybe it was the weight of what had happened last night pressing on my chest, reminding me that I had crossed a line I wasn’t sure I could ever step back from.Liam’s voice was calm, but it carried authority, filling the space with a power that made others straighten instinctively. He didn’t shout. He never needed to. One word from him and everyone obeyed. And this morning, his eyes never left me.“Pair up,” he ordered. Warriors began moving, some reluctantly, others eager. Boots scraped against gravel, weapons clattered as they were lifted.I shifted on my feet, hoping he’d look elsewhere, hoping he’d forget me, but he didn’t. His gaze sharpened, pinning me like a hawk locking on prey.“You. With me.”The words sliced through the murmurs around us. A few heads turned. Some of the men smirked, whispering to each other, no doubt wondering why Liam would single me out. My stomach knotted, but I forced m

  • ENSLAVED TOTHE BILLIONAIRE   CHAPTER 47

Mila’s POVThe story broke on a Wednesday. At exactly ten in the morning, the first file went live. Not through gossip sites or anonymous leaks, but in a carefully written article from a journalist Liam trusted. It wasn’t dramatic, not the kind of headline that screamed for attention. Instead, it was precise. Clean. Documented.“Exclusive: Internal Manipulation in Studio Casting Decisions Raises Questions of Integrity.”The article didn’t mention me by name until halfway through, when screenshots of conversations appeared. Hedda bragging about her “deal,” Logan forwarding staged photos to managers, and investors pressuring the director with thinly veiled threats. Each screenshot was timestamped, and each detail cross-referenced.The journalist hadn’t rushed. He had written it like a surgeon, cutting with accuracy instead of noise.By noon, the article was everywhere.I sat on Liam’s couch, phone in hand, watching the reaction unfold in real time.“So Hedda wasn’t that talented after a

  • ENSLAVED TOTHE BILLIONAIRE   CHAPTER 46

Mila’s POVThe headline hit before sunrise.By the time I opened my eyes, my phone was vibrating nonstop on the nightstand. Notifications stack on top of each other. Mentions, texts, calls. My stomach knotted before I even unlocked the screen. The first message was from Sofia: “Mila, don’t go online.”Which, of course, made me go online. The headline glared back at me.“Mila Reyes and Liam Ashford: Secret Affair Behind the Studio Scandal?”The article was cruelly precise. Photos of us walking together, leaving the same car, and entering his building. Each shot is angled to look intimate, timed to suggest secrecy. The captions dripped with insinuation.I dropped the phone on the bed like it burned. “It’s out.”Liam stood at the edge of the room, already dressed, already bracing himself. His expression was unreadable, but the tension in his shoulders gave him away. “I know. I warned you last night.”I sat up, clutching the sheets. “They’re saying we’ve been having an affair. That you us
