Tragedy

"Alan, someone's attacking the mansion!" said Venus when her call was answered. She was currently staring nervously at the sleeping face of Aurel, her daughter.

 

"Venus, Valerie is currently in labor, so I can't leave her," replied Alan, the alpha of the Ringblood pack and Venus' mate.

 

Venus clutched her cell phone tightly when she heard Alan's words. "We're in danger; you have to go home!"

 

"Don't be childish; I'll be home as soon as Valerie gives birth to her child. This is my promise to Lucas; please understand and don't cause trouble!" said Alan.

 

Venus gripped the cell phone in her hand even tighter. "Lucas again, this is what you always make of-"

 

"Venus!" Alan snapped into the call. "Don't make trouble! If there's an attack, our men will be able to protect you. I promise I'll be home as soon as..." Alan continued to speak.

 

But at this time Venus no longer heard Alan's voice; she dropped her cell phone in surprise when she heard the noise outside her bedroom door. After that, she grabbed Aurel's body, then carried her towards a large painting on one of the walls in the room.

 

She firmly pulled the painting until it fell on the floor, and as quickly as possible, she pressed the buttons on the wall.

"040519," she muttered as she entered the numeric password.

 

After that, the wall in front of her shifted, and a dark hallway was revealed behind the secret door.

 

"Mommy, why is it so noisy?" asked Aurel, who woke up to the sound of people shouting outside the room.

 

"Aurel, be a good girl; be quiet," Venus said as she stepped into the hallway.

 

But suddenly the door to the room opened violently.

 

Venus turned around and tried to close the door by pressing the password on the hallway wall.

 

"There they are!" shouted one of the enemies who had now spotted Venus and Aurel.

 

"Damn it!" said Venus, who was unable to close the secret door. Then she turned around and ran through the secret passage while carrying Aurel.

 

After a few minutes, Venus finally reached the end of the hallway and entered the reading room.

 

'How's this?' Venus thought to herself as she looked at one of the side walls in the room because there was another secret door. But just as she was about to take a step towards that wall, she realized that she was running out of time as the enemies had already reached the den where she was standing.

 

"Get them!" one of the enemies shouted.

 

Venus immediately put down Aurel, who was currently hugging her tightly out of fear.

"Honey, you hide over there!" Venus ordered as she pushed Aurel's body backwards to get away from her.

 

The little two-year-old girl made a small run towards a table not far from where Venus was currently standing. She hugged the table leg tightly as she continued to stare at Venus. "Mommy," she said softly.

 

Meanwhile, at this moment, Venus quickly changed her body shape into a wolf.

'I have to survive; when the opportunity arises, I will take Aurel out through that window,' Venus thought as she glanced at the large window on one side of the room.

 

"We are honorable men; we wouldn't hurt women and children if we didn't have to," said one of the men in front of Venus, who had just transformed his body into a wolf form like Venus had.

 

"Then what do you want?" asked Venus, who was currently keeping a wary eye on the four men in front of her who had now transformed themselves into wolves.

 

"Just tell us where the ring of immortality is and we'll let you go!" said the man who had been talking to Venus from the start because he was the leader of the people who attacked the mansion tonight.

 

"The ring of immortality?" Venus frowned at the name of the ring because she had never heard of it.

 

"Don't pretend you don't know," snapped the man who was walking closer to Venus. "That is the ring of the Delmonte family. You, as the main member of the Delmonte family, should know the existence of the ring of immortality."

 

"I don't know," said Venus quickly.

 

"This woman must be lying. She is a luna; she must know everything," said the other man.

 

Venus immediately turned to the man who had just doubted her. "How dare you accuse me of lying, I-"

 

"Arrest him!" The enemy leader ordered.

 

Immediately the other three wolves advanced towards Venus as ordered by their leader.

 

'You have to survive Venus,' Venus thought as she advanced to start the fight.

 

They fought fiercely. Venus did everything in her power to fight off the three men who were currently attacking her from all directions. However, each of her fighting moves had a huge gap because she had to face three people at the same time, until finally a loud hiss appeared on Venus' lips.

 

'How's this?' Venus thought to herself as she winced at the pain in her arm from a scratch from one of her enemies.

 

A moment later, one of the enemies jumped from one side of the room. Venus immediately turned her attention towards the person who was about to attack her, but suddenly another person jumped towards her and immediately bit her on the back.

 

"Akhh!" cried Venus in pain.

 

"Don't kill her; we still need her!" the group leader ordered from where he stood.

 

Without any compassion, the person who was currently biting Venus' back forcefully threw Venus' body towards one of the side walls in the room.

 

The sound of objects colliding was heard. Venus' body hit the wall hard and then fell on the floor of the room like an inanimate object. Fresh blood flowed from her lips as Venus' back slammed into the wall decoration, breaking one of her ribs.

 

"Mommy!" shouted Aurel as she ran towards Venus, who was now face down on the floor with her body transformed back into human form.

"Mommy, let's go!" said Aurel as she pulled on Venus' limp arm.

 

"Go," Venus said in a trembling voice. She raised her head slightly to look at her daughter, who was crying loudly while continuing to pull on her right hand.

 

From another direction, the leader of the enemy group, who had transformed back into a human form, walked calmly towards Venus and Aurel.

"Tell me where the ring is, and I'll let you go," he said when he arrived right in front of Venus and Aurel.

 

"I really don't know about the ring," Venus replied as she grasped Aurel's palm tightly.

 

A moment later, the group leader turned to Aurel, who was currently staring at her with a terrified expression. And in the next second, he quickly grabbed Aurel by the neck, then lifted Aurel's small body with her hands tightening around Aurel's neck.

 

Venus, who saw this, immediately stretched out both hands and held the enemy group leader's legs. "Please let go of my daughter; I'll do anything. Please!" She said it with fear and tears in her eyes.

 

The leader of the group looked back at Venus and calmly raised his right foot, then stepped firmly on Venus' left hand. "Tell me, where is the ring of immortality?"

 

"I really don't know," Venus replied with tears in her eyes.

 

Brak! The group leader threw Aurel's small body towards one side of the room.

 

Venus' eyes widened when she saw Aurel's body hit one of the large tables in the room. She watched as her daughter's body fell to the floor limply.

Her heart seemed to stop beating when she saw Aurel's bloodied lips.

'Aurel,' he muttered, his whole body feeling numb.

 

Her hand that was being stepped on, her broken ribs no longer hurt, and she no longer heard anything around her. Until ....

 

"Hey, bitch!" called the leader of the group while stomping on Venus' head.

 

"Let me go; I'll kill you!" Venus shouted at the top of her lungs with her body shaking.

 

The ringleader burst out laughing, then looked down, staring at Venus' face beneath her feet. "Give me the sword!" he said.

 

One of the enemy's men immediately gave the man the sword he wanted.

 

"I'm sure Mr. Ramos will be pleased when we bring this beautiful woman's head," he said as he prepared to cut off Venus' head.

 

"But sir, wouldn't it be a waste if her beautiful body just died?" said one of the enemy men.

 

The leader of the enemy group also looked at Venus' calves, which were now clearly visible because Venus' nightgown was open to the upper thigh.

"It's true what you say," he said as he stared at Venus' body further up to her face, which was still under his feet.

After that, he let go of Venus' head as he said, "Drag this woman to the sofa!"

 

"Yes, sir!" the three enemies said enthusiastically.

 

Then two of the enemies quickly grabbed Venus' hand, dragging her towards the sofa.

 

"What do you want?" said Venus while staring at the face of one of the enemies with a weak body.

 

The man Venus was staring at looked back at Venus with a grinning smile. "We'll spoil you before you die; think of it as a gift for the Luna Ringblood pack."

 

A moment later, Venus' body was placed on the sofa. Then a hand began to grope Venus' thigh.

 

Venus, who initially closed her eyes because she felt very weak, now opened her eyes again. "Stay away from me," she said in a weak voice.

 

"Away from you?" muttered the man who was groping Venus' thigh. He quickly pulled the straps of Venus' kimono-shaped dress so that it was wide open.
