"Where are you taking me?" Julia asked the moment she turned to face Caspian. Her heart raced, and her cheeks flushed with a deep red hue, revealing just how shy and nervous she was.

Caspian couldn’t help but smirk at the sight, amused by how endearing she looked. The soft glow of the evening sun streaming through the car window made her even more beautiful in his eyes.

With a confident grin, he turned the key in the ignition, the car’s engine roaring to life. He glanced at her briefly, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

"Just hang on tight… You’ll know when we get there," he said in a teasing tone, leaving her curiosity hanging in the air.

Julia’s fingers gripped the edge of her seat as she tried to steady her breathing, unsure of what to expect. Caspian's presence alone was enough to make her feel flustered, and now this mysterious drive had her on edge.

Caspian pressed his foot down on the accelerator, and the car shot forward, swiftly pulling away from the curb.

Logan stormed out of the hotel, his steps heavy and fast as he ignored Amelia's voice calling out from behind him.Her words from just minutes ago still echoed in his mind, taunting and biting at him. She had gone on and on about Julia, dredging up memories he’d tried so hard not to recall, forcing him to confront feelings he wasn’t prepared to face that evening. His jaw clenched as he reached his car, his hands curling into fists. He could still see the smug look on Amelia’s face, as if she knew exactly how to get under his skin.He didn’t wait for her to catch up or try to explain herself; he didn’t want to hear another word out of her mouth.Sliding into his car, Logan slammed the door shut, his mind spinning. It wasn’t just Amelia’s taunts that had him in knots; his company was struggling, barely keeping its head above water. For a man who prided himself on control, his life felt as if it were slipping through his fingers, piece by piece. And now Julia—his ex-wife, the one person

Amelia lay stretched out on the bed, naked, her body draped only in soft, white sheets as she moved with slow, seductive grace, a self-satisfied smirk curling up on her lips. The darkness outside the hotel window matched her mood perfectly as she let her mind wander to what she imagined was happening to her stepsister, Julia. She could practically see it—Julia beaten, injured, possibly raped, broken, erased from their lives forever. Killed in the loneliness and darkness of the night. She and her friend, Nadia, had made sure of it. They had sent huge men to "take care of things" a few nights ago, ensuring Julia would be wiped off the face of the earth. Yet, something nagged at her.Why hadn’t there been an announcement about Julia's death? After all, she was now married to Caspian Michaelson... Why hadn’t she heard any news?“Or did he drop her just as always?” she murmured, her eyes glinting with malicious satisfaction as she slowly bit her lower lip.If there was anything she desired

“Something is up,” Caspian mumbled to himself, watching Amelia as she slipped quietly into the hospital. She was alone, which was strange enough, but she also wore dark sunglasses and had a scarf pulled low over her face, like she didn’t want anyone to see her.Caspian frowned, curiosity tugging at him. Just a few days ago, she had married Logan, Julia’s ex-husband. Yet here she was, alone, sneaking into the hospital as if she had something to hide.He couldn't stay still; he wanted to know why she was at the hospital and why she kept looking over her shoulder. Caspian wanted to know it all.“I won't let this slide,” he mumbled to himself as a sneer curled across his lips. At this point, he was willing to do just about anything to bring Logan down after what he had done to Julia. And Amelia? She was just the perfect bait.As Caspian quietly trailed behind her down the hallway, he kept a close eye on her every move.He watched as she paused now and then, glancing over her shoulder as i

Caspian could feel the tension in the air as soon as he stepped into the hospital room. Sandra lay on the bed, covered in bandages, with Julia beside her, looking grateful but exhausted. He had brought Julia to the hospital just as he promised last night after he heard about the attack on Sandra. As relieved as he was to see her alive, there were things he needed to sort out quickly. And he wasn’t the only one tense; he could sense Dominic’s restlessness across the room.Dominic was eager to do anything to help Sandra, to find out who was responsible for all of this.Caspian moved closer to him, keeping his voice low so only Dominic could hear.“Let’s talk,” he said, motioning to the door.Dominic glanced at Sandra, then at Julia, before nodding.“We'll be back soon, Julia… I need to speak to Dominic quickly and let you both have some time to yourselves,” Caspian said with a smile. They both murmured their excuses, giving Julia a brief, reassuring look before stepping out of the hospi

Dominic’s head was tipped back against the cold hospital wall, his eyes closed, but he wasn’t resting.Every minute felt like an hour. He’d stayed the entire night, sitting there, waiting, worrying. He kept seeing her bruised face, remembering the helpless look in her eyes before they wheeled her away.Sandra had been attacked by men he couldn’t name, men whose faces he could only imagine. The thought of her being hurt, alone, and in pain made him ache with anger and guilt.Sometime in the night, Dominic must have drifted off, though he wasn’t sure how. All he knew was that his eyes opened to the soft, dim glow of dawn coming through the doors, casting a faint light over the hallway. He rubbed his eyes, blinking against the heavy grogginess in his head. His back ached from sleeping in such a hard, uncomfortable position, but he didn’t care.Sandra was still all he could think about. He’d hardly closed his eyes for a moment when a gentle hand touched his shoulder, pulling him back to r
