Beep Beep

"Where is that sound coming from?" I asked myself while trying to stand up before I felt a sharp pain on my head that forced me to lay down back.

"Easy dear, you don't want to hurt yourself." a lady on white said while entering the room

"Who are you and where am I?" I asked

" You were rushed in here last week because you and your dad were involved in an accident. You don't remember anything?" She asked

"Accident? My dad?" I said trying to remember what happened.

" You need to calm down," she said

I ignored her, still trying to remember what happened, and then it triggered

" Where is my dad? I want to see him now. Is he alright?" I asked while trying to stand up

"Please you need to calm down before your health get worse", she said

" WHERE THE HELL IS MY DAD!!!" I yelled 

" Calm down please, the monitor is going crazy and you may enter Coma. Just relax and control your breathing" she said

" No, I want to see my dad please," I said while crying

Before she could reply, an older man ran into the room and asked her what was going on. Using that distraction as an opportunity, I removed the needle which was connected to my left hand but unfortunately for me, before I could stand up, they noticed and ran toward me, trying to stop me. while struggling with them, I felt a sting on my left lap before I slip into unconsciousness.

Beep Beep

ugh!!!

" Hey, you are awake" I heard a voice say beside me

" Mom! is that you," I said while trying to make my eyes adapt to the lights

" Yes dear, it is me. How are you feeling now?" she asked

" I am feeling a little better than earlier" I replied

" That's good. You need to calm down okay? everything will be fine" she said

" You came alone? what of dad?" I asked

" You don't remember anything?" she said with a shaky voice

" Remember what? Have you been crying?" I asked noticing some dry tears on her face and her puffy eyes.

" He couldn't make it," she said

" who?" I asked

" He said I should give you this, you will understand after reading," she said while giving me a letter.

THE LETTER.....

Hello, Lucy!

before I start, I want to apologize for not being there now, I want to apologize for saying my last words to you on a piece of paper. I knew a day like this will come but not so soon. If you are reading this now, just know that I have gone forever.

I pleaded with the doctors to do something so I can see you for the last time before I will leave but it was so disappointing to hear that nothing can be done.

My last day at your bedside was very heartbroken. watching you sleep peacefully without any pain made the matter worse. at some point, I thought you won't make it but I still believed that you will do anything to survive even if it is to fight for it because you are a strong woman.

You have a lot to know but I am not in the position to tell you but just know that I am sorry for everything. I am sorry for not being there and for not being able to tell you anything.

I was so happy when you called me dad. I was waiting for that day but unfortunately, I will not be there to see my little girl turn into a lady. I wish I will be there to correct my mistakes and make amendments but I just hope you will forgive me.

You know, we all have roles to play in this life but we decided which role to play. we are all protagonist in our movie and also an antagonist to others. The first day I saw you, I knew that something great was coming but I couldn't place a hand on it. 

You may not understand what I am trying to say now but I just want you to promise me that no matter what happens, no matter how difficult, no matter how challenging, just take a deep breath and fight to you get what you want. I know and believe that you can do it but I also want you to believe in yourself.

Take good care of your mom.
