LUNA AQUAMARINE’S POV

“These should help with the pain,” Clifford said, handing me back my pouch.

I nodded, grateful, despite a little ache in my lower belly.

The walk had cleared my head, but now that we were back at the pack walls, I was beginning to feel, uneasy.

The people paused as we passed. Mothers pulled their children closer.

I hugged the satchel tighter, confused.

What did they smell? Was it herbs on me, or… was it me?

Has Fiona cooked up rubbish and fed it to them?

Clifford noticed too.

His stance instantly changed. He leaned toward me, “Don’t look back. Keep walking.”

But it was impossible not to. Every step felt heavier, their eyes cutting deeper, their fear almost tangible, almost hungry.

And then, as we reached the gate.

My stomach dropped. The ache in my lower belly told me the truth before my mind caught up. Then warmth slid down my thigh.

Of all times. My monthly flow had to come now? According to my calculations, I'm not supposed to have my monthly flow till n

LUNA AQUAMARINE’S POVI stood at Clifford’s door longer than I should have. My hands wouldn’t stop shaking. My chest was tight, and even though I told myself over and over that I needed to do this, I still wanted to turn back. But guilt was heavier than fear.I pushed the door open.He was awake, leaning back against the headboard, bandages strapped across his chest. His skin looked pale, his shoulders thinner, but his eyes were the same—hard, sharp, cutting into me before I could even speak.“Clifford…” I whispered, stepping inside. “I came to see you. I just—”“You just what?” His tone was flat, but the anger underneath it bled through. “Came to see how the man your mate nearly killed is doing?”I swallowed, throat dry. “I wanted to apologize.”His laugh was bitter, sharp. “Apologize? For what? For standing there while he broke my ribs? Or for letting the entire pack watch you get fucked on the balcony like some spectacle?”I flinched, my stomach twisting. “What? The entire pack?”“

  • Fated To The Golden-Eyed Devil   129. Wrong Existence

PRIMUS ALEXANDER'S POV Levi blocked the doorway with that smug look on his face. “You can’t keep her locked to your side forever.”I growled low in my chest. “Watch me.”He folded his arms, calm as ever. “Two weeks, Alexander. Two. The pack hasn’t seen you. The Order has been restless since you killed Zedd. And the Luna—”I huffed my chest, “My Luna is exactly where she should be. With me.” The words came out rougher than I meant. For two weeks I hadn’t let Aquamarine out of my sight, hadn’t allowed a single day to pass without her taste on my tongue or her body beneath mine. I had fucked her against the walls, in my bed, on the floor, the bathtub wherever the need hit, and she never once pulled away. She burned for me as much as I burned for her.And yet, every time I looked at her, I searched. Waiting. Watching. For the shift. For the scales. But nothing came. He sighed, rubbing his temples like he was the one exhausted. “I understand that you’re love struck but for heaven's sa

  • Fated To The Golden-Eyed Devil   128. Mine

LUNA AQUAMARINE’S POV His words hit me harder than anything else had all day. Blood rushed to my head soo fast that it made my stomach churn. For a moment, nothing else existed but that sound inside me. It kept repeating in my ears over and over again.“You—” I started, then swallowed the rest. My throat was thick. “Do you mean it?”Alexander’s hand tightened at my waist. “I've never been more serious—”“Then take me,” I whispered. “Take me till there is nothing left. Prove to me how much you love and need me. Prove to me how much I'm yours and you're mine.”“Mine,” he growled in repeat, voice rough, half-beast, half-man.The chain at his wrist strained. Then with a sharp crack, one link snapped free from the wall, sparks scattering across the cave. My wolf clawed inside, hungry, aching, desperate to be claimed. Wanting to be taken by this…… beast. His free hand gripped my hip so hard it hurt, dragging me closer, pressing me against the wall until I could barely breathe.“Alex—” I

  • Fated To The Golden-Eyed Devil   127. His Back Story

LUNA AQUAMARINE’S POV “Levi!” My voice cracked. “Read it—read what it says!”He was pale, yanking at the chains like it would fix everything. “Luna—”“Try!” I shoved him, desperate. “ I know you can't but you know more than I do.”“It's not that,” He shook his head, lips trembling. “I can't see it. I can't see the writings.”I froze. “What? What do you mean you can’t see it?”I looked at the veins on Alexander’s back, still drawing lines slowly and painfully. “Only you can help him.” Levi whispered urgently, “Just try something I'll help with whatever I can.”I pressed my fingers to them, tracing the glowing script.“Only…. only,” the words trembled out of my mouth as the letters scattered in my head, burning holes behind my eyes.I just kept saying that one word over and over again as tears streamed down my face. For the first time, when he needed me the most, I couldn't even help him.“P—paper,” Alexander groaned.I swallowed the panic. “Paper,” I whispered. “Give me paper.”Levi

  • Fated To The Golden-Eyed Devil   126. Why Soo Cruel

LUNA AQUAMARINE’S POV I broke.I didn’t even realize when the tears started until I couldn’t see anymore. My hands shook against his chest, my lips moving faster than my brain could keep up, whispering prayers like a desperate child begging his mother.“Please, God. Please do something, anything, but make it stop.” I begged, pressing my forehead to his, wetting his skin with salt. “Please don’t take him. Don’t take him from me. I’ll do anything. I’ll give anything. Just—just let him live. Please.”The memory of how Alexander cried after he saved me from Gaia played in my brain like a nightmare. Like it was just seconds ago.Is this the pain he felt? Seeing me in pain— almost dead?In his arms? Losing the person he loves?I wailed more. “Why are you soo cruel? What wrong has he done to deserve this kind of punishment?” I screamed at no one in particular. “Why him?” I kept repeating in broken sobs despite the pain ringing in my head. But his body jerked again, and his hands found me,

  • Fated To The Golden-Eyed Devil   125. Man's Never Hot

LUNA AQUAMARINE’S POV I thought maybe it was me at first. Maybe my body was shutting down after everything that happened yesterday. Or maybe Alexander was dipping me inside a tub of freezing water to wash me.But the moment something large and hard crushed against my body, my teeth clattered soo hard that my eyes snapped open.Alexander's stone cold form was snuggled soo close to me like he wanted to enter me. “Alexander,” I whispered, shaking him lightly, panic clawing its way up my throat. My Primus—my volcano—was trembling under the sheets like some weakling. His chest heaved shallow, sweat plastering his red hair to his face, but when his eyes cracked open for the smallest second, they weren’t weak. They burned. Gold, hot, searing. Like fire locked in an iceberg.I pulled my hand back, staring at my palm like it had betrayed me.“Alexander?” I whispered, shaking him, the word cracking halfway through. No answer. He was just breathing in a way I've never seen before. I swallo
